For the past few days all Johnny could think about was Peter.
Now that wouldn’t usually be abnormal, but the reasoning behind these thoughts is.
Normally thinking of Peter brought him a sort of weightlessness that could only be rivaled by flying. As of right now though, every time Johnny thought of Peter it brought him a deep sense of dread.
Because for the past three days, Peter, his best friend, has been missing.
And Johnny has been going crazy.
He wants to fly around the world and check every nook and cranny. He wants to go from planet to planet to try and find a trace of red and blue. He wants to explore every ocean and every single solar system. He wants to find something. A hint. A clue. A sign. Literally anything.
But he’s stuck on house arrest.
“Johnny, we understand okay, but we can’t risk you going missing too. Don’t worry, the rest of us will do whatever we can to try and find him, but you need to stay here, where it’s safe.” Is what Sue had told him when he wanted to immediately go searching for Peter.
It wasn’t fair.
Peter was his BEST FRIEND. The person who would put up with any dumb jokes, Johnny threw his way (and the one who would make dumber jokes). The person who made him not care about anything else in the world when they’re together. The person who would help him no matter the situation.
He needed to find him.
Now, he would ask Ned for help, but he seemed to also be in the same ‘can’t leave the house’ boat. And he can’t try to sneak out because Herbie was assigned the task of keeping watch over Johnny. Which left him with little to no options.
Looking at his lock screen, Johnny wishes that Peter would text him. Say something about where he is. Call him to talk about his day. Hell, he’d even take an email.
But instead, he’s faced with no notifications.
No calls.
No Peter.
