Chapter 1: The Sea Palace and Overview of The SeaVerse
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
The Sea Palace is an massive white and blue palace styled in a similar fashion to the Cycladic architecture of The Cyclades Islands, sitting on a lagoon in the middle of space.
The palace is home to Queen Umi, the ruler of The SeaVerse, who looks over and protects the various realms.
She's a tall and beautiful woman with long blonde hair, and hourglass figure with an average build, fair skin, pink lips, and blue eyes.
She wears sea blue dress with a light blue bodice, clear straps on the shoulders, a necklace with a seashell shaped pendant, and gold trimming on the hemline and bodice.
But most notably, she has a brown tattoo on her forehead that resembles the symbols of North, South, East and West.
Other than Umi, a couple of servants reside in the palace as well.
The Sea Palace holds what you would usually expect from any sort of palace.
A throne room, several bedrooms for the inhabitants and the potential guests, a bathroom, a ballroom, a dining room, a kitchen, etc.
But perhaps the most notable room is The Pool Room.
The room is filled with magical pools that serve as gateways to the other realms of The SeaVerse.

Notes:
So the character of Queen Umi (and the fanfic in general) was pulled from and inspired by the obscure video game "Adventure of Tokyo DisneySea".
It was released during the holiday season of 2001 for The Game Boy Advance and PlayStation 2, to coincide with the recently opened park.
The game focused on a boy traveling through the worlds of the park, meeting and helping both original and pre-existing Disney characters.
And the person who sends him on his quest is The Princess of the Sea.
Even though there are tons of original characters, I'll be damned if I even know what their names are or their personalities.
Largely because the game was only released in Japan, and as a result, it's dialogue and text is entirely in Japanese.
And from what I've looked up, there's yet to be a translation for this game.
For this upcoming fanfic, I decided to give The Princess an actual name: Queen Umi.
If you know your Japanese, you'd know that "Umi" translates to sea or ocean!
You'd also probably noticed that I added many more realms/ports of calls to this version of Tokyo DisneySea.
This was done to expand The SeaVerse and allow for location variety, while also still keeping the overall nautical theming.
And yes, some of these realms do tie into particular Disney proprieties.
You wanna guess which ones?
Chapter 2: Mermaid Lagoon
Chapter Text
Mermaid Lagoon holds the world of The Little Mermaid.
Set in the mid-19th century Mediterranean.
The world primarily consists of the undersea kingdom of Atlantica, and the land-based kingdom of Andersonia.
As for the notable locations in both kingdoms.
Atlantica
-Triton's Palace: The home of King Triton, Ariel, her sisters, and Sebastian. The palace holds bedrooms for every member, a large dining room, many hallways, a concert hall, and a treasury.
-The City: The area where the actual residents live in Atlantica. The city surrounds Triton's palace.
-Marketplace: An area where most people shop.
-Ariel's Grotto: A special place where Ariel keeps her vast treasure trove of human objects, antiques, artifacts, and other stuff that she has collected. Each one has a special place in her heart. It is a large cavern that has a large round stone covering the entrance. Inside are hollowed out shelves for which she stores and displays her discoveries.
-The Reef: A coral reef that's home to Flounder and most of the other sea creatures.
-The Undersea Valley: An enormous valley under the sea with numerous alcoves, high-rising rocks and currents throttling upwards. This is where the whales live.
-Ursula's Lair: The home of Ursula, and her eel henchmen Flotsam and Jetsam, located on the outskirts of the kingdom. Built out of the skeleton of an giant sea serpent.
-Graveyard of Ships: A place filled with small sunken ships from across the centuries. Often lurking with sharks and undead skeletal pirates.
-The Volcanic Caves: A series of heated caverns filled with lava spouts.
-The Trenches: A series of narrow, deep, elongated channels dug into the ocean floor. Home to many of the more stranger and freakier creatures of the ocean, along with some villains like Evil Manta and The Octopids.
-Sharkania: A rival kingdom located right outside Atlantica within a valley of undersea volcanoes, home to Sharga and The Sharkanians.
Andersonia
-The Castle: The home of Eric, his parents, Urchin, and Grimsby.
-The Town: Where most of the kingdom's residents live.
-The Marketplace: Where most of the shopping is done.
-The Harbor: Where the ships are kept.
-The Countryside: Where the agriculture is done and the farmers live.
-The Marsh: A stretch of wetlands right outside the kingdom, home to a wide array of semi-aquatic and aquatic animals.
