The Bard, The Kings and more!

One month shy of three years to the day that the fellowship set off from Rivendell to destroy the ring, the hobbits get an unexpected letter from their friend Aragorn now King Elessar. He is planning a big celebration to honor not only the fellowship, but everyone involved in the war of the ring.

Its a nice quiet afternoon the hobbits are enjoying a refreshing Luncheon, they are discussing the letter and their trip back to Gondor. It was found out that the celebration will be on March 25th the exact day the ring was destroyed. Aragorn requested that Frodo, Sam and Merry arrive on the 23rd but Pippin was asked to arrive on the 9th.

Pippin will look a little confused and says, “Why ask me to come early? I think out of the four of us I caused more problems than helped.” Merry will place a hand on his friend's shoulder and says, “That’s not true Pip...” But he is quickly cut off by Pippin who says, "Yes, it is! I didn't help destroy the ring, I didn't help kill the witch king, I knocked over a bucket that ultimately got Gandalf killed and I just had to look at that gosh darn palantir and was hurt and almost killed by Sauron. The mission would have gone a lot smoother if I wasn't there.” As soon as Pippin is finished, he doesn't look at his friends he just puts his head down. The three others will look at each other not knowing Pippin has been feeling this way. Merry will lift Pippin's chin to make him look at him and says, “I would disagree! Yes, you messed up, but we all did at one point or another, not one of us on that mission were perfect. Secondly, I know I most likely would have died if it wasn't for you. You got me through the time with the orcs and all through Fangorn. Next, you not anyone else but you Peregrin Took found me on the battlefield and didn't leave my side until help came! So, I am so grateful you were there because if not I know I wouldn't be here.” Pippin will give a half smile and thank his friend. “Let’s not forget Faramir would have been burned alive by his father, if not for you.” Says Sam. Pippin will fully smile as he comes to the realization, he was a bigger part in the fellowship then he thought. Frodo will say, “Maybe that’s it, you saving Faramir is why you have to be there earlier. Pippin will shrug his shoulders because he really doesn't understand why he was requested early. “We will find out soon enough.” Pippin will say. When their nice luncheon is finished the hobbits go their separate ways, and each head home.

At Pippins place he walks in and says as he is shutting the door, “Sweetheart, I’m home.” Out from another room walks Pippin’s wife Diamond, they share a quick kiss. She will ask her husband how his luncheon with his friends went. Pippin will take a big deep breath says it went well but there is something he needs to talk to her about. She of course agrees then they walk to the sitting area to get comfortable while they talk. Pippin with tears in his eyes will take his wife's hand and says, “I’m sorry but I’ve been keeping something from you.” Diamond will smile and tuck her husband's beautiful curls behind his ear and says, “Are you finally going to tell me about the letter you received from Aragorn?” Pippin will look a little shocked at his wife's words and before he gets a chance to say anything she will get a big smile on her face and says, “I think sometimes you forget that Rosie is my best friend.” Pippin gets an almost embarrassed look on his face because he didn't think of that. Obviously, he isn't mad at Rosie, no one knew he was struggling with telling his wife. Diamond also isn't mad at her husband she just knows him, and she knew he was going to tell her when he was ready. “I’m sorry I didn't tell you sooner and that you had to find out from Rosie, I was just nervous.” Pippin will say to his wife. Diamond will smile bigger at her husband puts a hand on his face and says, “There is nothing to forgive.” After they share a kiss Pippin will say, “There is one more thing and it's a big ask...” Diamond will cut off her husband and says, “Yes, of course I will come with you.” Pippin will smile big again and tells his wife, “You are amazing! I’m so lucky to have you in my life.” Diamond will place her forehead on her husbands and says, “No, I’m the lucky one!” Then the couple share a passionate kiss and head for their bedroom.

It's weeks later Pippin and Diamond are all set for their journey to Gondor. Frodo, Sam and Merry are there to wish them off and tell them they will see each other soon.

After returning home from their mission Pippin realized that music got him through a lot of the hard times while away from the shire, so he decided to become a bard and make music for the shire and anyone who would listen. Pippin believes if music helped him, it could help anyone. That being said, that is how he and Diamond got money while traveling to Gondor. When they were near any town, they would find an inn and Pippin would trade his skills for food and bedding, it worked every time. Due to this the travel couldn't have gone more perfect.

They arrive in Gondor exactly on the 9th, while walking up to the castle Pippin is pointing out so many things and telling stories she has never heard before, it’s hard for Diamond not to look at her husband he looks so proud, she is very proud of him to for all he has done and overcame.

They make it to the doors of the castle when a guard says, “Welcome master Pippin, you are expected by the kings, will you and...” The guard will pause looks at Diamond then back at Pippin and says, “This is my wife, Diamond.” The guard will slightly bow and asks them to follow him. As they are walking to the throne room Pippin squeezes Diamond’s hand, she doesn't say anything just squeezes right back. Pippin told her of all the terrible things Denethor did, so the throne room isn't Pippins favorite place. They get to the door the guard opens them and says, “Your majesty's I present to you Pippin and Diamond Took of the shire.” As the couple walk in Pippin notices that the throne room looks a little different, the steward chair is gone and now at the top of the stairs lies two chairs, one sits Aragorn and next to him Legolas. As the couple approaches Aragorn and Legolas stand and descend the stairs holding hands.

Before Pippin can say or do anything Aragorn will say, “Don't you dare try bowing again.” They both smile and embrace. Pippin learning some elven customs will give Legolas an elvan hand gesture, Legolas will smile do the same and says, “It's nice to see you Pippin.” He will smile says same and introduces Diamond to Aragorn and Legolas. Aragorn will smile and take Diamond’s hand and says, “It is so nice to finally meet you.” Diamond will smile and says, “Likewise, I’ve heard so many great things about both of you.” The couple will smile bigger than Legolas will say “We are still very sorry we couldn't attend your wedding, being newly crowned kings, we really didn't have much time for socializing, let alone leave for over two months.” Pippin and Diamond completely understand and are just happy they all are together again. The two couples spend a few minutes catching up on their lives over the last few years. Then Aragorn will say, “Okay, the reason why I brought you here earlier than anyone else, Legolas and I need your help musically.” Pippin will look at his friends oddly because he doesn't understand. Aragorn will say, “We have some news that we need to tell everyone, we would like you to write a song then perform it at the party as the two of us dance along.” Pippin will think for a second and says, “Sure! Absolutely, I would love to do this. So, what's the news?” Aragorn will look at Legolas who will turn slightly and runs his hand over his just starting to show pregnant belly. “We are expecting!” Pippin and Diamond are so excited for the couple they wish them both a big congratulations. The kings thank their friends as Aragorn puts one arm behind Legolas’s back and puts his hand on his hip, and the other hand goes to Legolas’ belly, with that he will lean into Aragorn. Then the couple spend a few minutes talking about what they want in the song. When all is said and done after they talk about the song and catch up some more, Dimond and Pippin retire to their room to rest, it's been a long travel. The four says they will see each other at dinner, then the two couples go their separate ways.

Six months ago, and its late September Legolas is sitting in his and Aragorn’s room reading a book waiting for his husband to get done for the day. Moments later Aragorn walks in and plops on the bed and sighs. Legolas will put his book down walk to his husband sits next to him and asks, “Rough day?” Aragorn will sit up smile and says, “Yes, it doesn't matter though seeing your face has made it all better.” Legolas will smile and kisses his husband and says, “Are you sure you don't want to talk about it?” Aragorn will smile pet his husbands face and says, “No, I want to talk about how wonderful you are and how you have been by my side for the last few years no matter what. Just like today whenever I had a bad day, even when we weren't in a relationship on the mission, I just would look or talk to you, and it felt like all my problems would just melt away.” Legolas will smile and just stairs at his husband for a moment. With a tear in his eye Aragorn would continue, “The day before my coronation when you professed your love to me, it felt like you have said it a thousand times before, like you were always meant to be the one, the one who was meant to be by my side for the rest of my life, the one....” Legolas interrupts him with a kiss and pushes him down on the bed and straddles Aragorn. Practically sitting on Aragorn Legolas will release from the kiss and says, “You always talk about how I impacted your life, time for me to talk about how you impacted mine.” Aragorn will place his hands on Legolas hips and tells him; he would love to hear it. Legolas will have a slight wave of pleasure go through his whole body with his husband's touch, then he continues, “From the day we meant when you were just a young ranger and I a rebellious prince, I knew you would be special to me, I didn't know how special but I just knew, you would be in my life forever. I knew this because you were the first person to let me be myself. I didn't have to put on my princely hat for you. You let me talk about how much I resented my father for never talking about my mother, even though I wanted to know about her. You let me vent on how sometimes I hated being a prince and I wished I could have run away. It wasn't until the council of Elrond that I knew I loved you, when Boromir, may he rest, was saying things about you and Gondor, I knew I had to defend the man that I loved, even if he didn't know it. You do not know how many times I lost my nerve to tell you my feelings before we left. In a way I’m glad I waited, seeing you do all those incredible things on our mission, made me fall in love with you even more. It gave me time to think about how and what I wanted to say to you, and surprise you felt the same way, and I wouldn’t change anything about our lives, I love you so much Aragorn, my king.” Aragorn will smile big, with Legolas still on his lap will sit up a bit and gives him a kiss. “Do you want to know when I fell in love with you?” Legolas slowly starts rubbing himself against Aragorn and says, please. Aragorn leans into what Legolas is doing and with an airiness to his voice will say, “As odd as it's going to sound it was after our fight in Helms deep, after I walked away, it felt like my heart broke. I felt like I just lost the love of my life. So, when you found me later, I’m not kidding when I say, I was going to kiss you until Gimli and the other elves interrupted. It's funny like you I was trying to find the right time, place and words to express my feelings towards you, but I never got the chance because you beat me to it and again like you, I wouldn't change it for the world. I love you too, Legolas.” There are no more words said as the couple kiss and make love.

Almost two months later, Aragorn is waiting for Legolas, they both are nervous because they both said they needed to talk to the other about something . Legolas walks into the room Aragorn is in, they share a gentle kiss and then the couple sit to talk. Aragorn will look nervous and asks his husband if he can go first, Legolas will smile and tell his husband sure. Aragorn will take a big deep breath and says, “I think it's time we talk about us having children. As kings the people expect us to have an heir. Even though its expected, I realized somewhat recently that I really want it. To see a child, our child running these halls, to see little ones that look like us...” Aragorn will stop because he is crying, Legolas will wipe away his tears as Aragorn continues, “Sorry for crying, saying it out loud is making me want it more and I’m hoping you say you want children also.” Legolas still with his hand on Aragorn’s face will say, “It never fails to impress me how in sync we are, we feel and think things very similar to each other. I too wanted to talk about having children with you...” Aragorn will cut Legolas off and says, “Really? You did?” Legolas nods and says, "Well I didn't have to talk per say but I had to tell you something.” Legolas will take one of Aragorn's hands and places it on his belly and says, "I’m with child.” Aragorn goes wide eyed then a huge smile slowly makes its way onto his face. He pulls Legolas into a hug and starts to cry happy tears and keeps repeating he can't believe it. Aragorn will release from the hug stands up and offers his hand to Legolas to stand and says as he is twirling him, “Let me look at you.” Hoping to get a better glimpse at his partner's pregnant belly. After the twirl Legolas will smile and says, “I’m sorry there isn't anything to see yet, I’m barely two months along but the healer says I’m very healthy and I’m due in August." Aragorn can't stop smiling with everything Legolas says, and he hugs him one more time. “I have an amazing idea!” Legolas will look at his king waiting for him to say his idea. Aragorn starts talking about a plan to have a yearly party on the anniversary day the ring was destroyed, they would invite all the fellowship, their families and anyone who fought or helped in those months. It will be a huge celebration honoring all involved then Aragorn gets really excited and adds that it would be the perfect time to announce the coming of their little one. Legolas loves the idea but adds to it, he would suggest that they ask their good friend Pippin to write a song for them. They heard he is trying to make a living as a bard, what better way to help then to give him a job. Aragorn loves the idea and walks to his desk to start composing letters to the hobbits, Gimli, Gandalf and everyone involved. The couple are beyond excited to be sharing this news with the world but most importantly their friends.

Its dinner time the two couples meet to share a nice meal together. “Did you rest well, my friends?” Aragorn will ask the couple. Dimond will laugh and says, “What rest? My eager to please husband already started working on your song.” The couple will look at Pippin a little surprised and asks if they can hear it. Pippin being a perfectionist with his songs will explain its nowhere near ready. Aragorn and Legolas understand and tell him no pressure; they will hear it when he and it are ready. Then Pippin will look at his friends and ask, “Do you want to hear it before or would you like it to be a surprise, day of? I mean you are telling everyone this big news, I feel like there should be a little something in it for you as well. Considering you two came up with and planned the party.” The kings will look at each other and they love the idea of being surprised. They both thank Pippin for the suggestion.

Over the next two weeks the couples spent time together, Pippin and Dimond even help with some of the party set up and Pippin is just about done with the song. He wrote and rewrote parts and the whole thing several times, but he thinks he is finally almost finished.

It's the 23rd the guests are starting to arrive one by one. The guests from Rohan are the first to arrive, only being a few days travel the trip was very easy. Newly crowned Queen Eowyn, who took over Rohan after her brother Eomer stepped down, he realized Rohan would be a better place with Eowyn as queen and him staying as the captain of the guard. Rohan is thriving with Eowyn as queen and Arwen by her side as her queen, the two have been in a not-so-secret relationship long before the war of the ring. Gimli and Gandalf arrive together; their paths met not far from Minas Tirith and decided to finish their travel together. The last ones to arrive are the hobbits including Rosie and their baby Elanor. Everyone is so happy to be back together again, they catch up like no time has passed at all.

Hours later it's just the hobbits spending time together. “So did you figure out why you were asked here early?" Asks Merry. Pippin will smile and says, “Yes but you have to wait until the party to find out what it is.” The four of them jokingly try to persuade him to tell them but obviously he knows they are joking and all of them can't wait to find out what it is.

As they are talking Frodo will look at the time and says he must go, he is meeting up with someone but doesn't tell them who it is. “Alright keep your secrets.” Merry will say. Frodo will smile, have a slight laugh, roll his eyes and leaves. “Who do you think he is seeing?” asks Pippin. Sam will smile and says, “It’s probably the same person he's been meeting up with every few months for the last few years. Whoever it is, I have a feeling they are in a relationship.” Dimond will say, “Oh really, why do you think that?” Sam would continue, “A few times I was at his place gardening, I would see him reading the same letters over and over again with a big smile on his face. Whenever he saw me coming, he would quickly put them away like he was trying to hide them...” Sam is cut off by his wife who says, “Pip, Di you messed it, he was so gitty and unlike himself the day we left the shire. He checked over what he was bringing several times; he even got a new haircut the day before. It definitely looked like he was preparing for something special.” Pip will say, “Wow, it definitely sounds like there is someone and I hope there is, he has been through so much he deserves to be happy, we all do...” Pippin will pause look at Merry gives him a playful punch to the arm and continues, “You too, your next to find someone.” Merry will just smile and says he hopes so.

It’s the big day, the day of the party, its starts at 5 just round dinner time. No one does much during the day just helps with last minute set up and getting ready, well except for Pippin who spent all day practicing his song, it is finally perfect.

It’s about 4:30 Sam is just about ready, when he remembers that Frodo has his pocket square that he wanted to wear to the party. All the hobbit rooms are in the same hall; Sam opens the door to his room and looks in the direction of Frodo’s room to see Frodo and Faramir kissing in the doorway of Frodo’s room. Faramir see’s Sam and tells Frodo. He will leave his room look at his friend and tells him to come over and come in so the three of them can talk.

Inside of Frodo’s room, the three sit. Frodo will take Faramir’s hand then looks at Sam. “I’m sorry this is the way you found out but yes, we are in a relationship but are hiding it for now. This is still very new and....” Sam will interrupt and asks, “How new?” Frodo will continue and says, “About 6 months. You see after we all were back here healing after the ring was destroyed, I wanted to check on Faramir and thank him again for letting us go, with that we got to talking. We ended up talking for hours, and a friendship quickly developed. We’ve been exchanging letter since we both returned home, then every time that his work brought him farther west, we would meet up to catch up. Then the last time, which was about 6 months ago, he asked me out and I said yes. We spent 4 amazing days and nights together, figuring us out as partners now not as friends, it came so easy and naturally...” Faramir will cut off Frodo and says, “I can't speak for him but after I released you two I realized I couldn't stop thinking about his bravery and courage, it really stuck with me. Same with you on how good a friend and companion you were to him, but I didn't realize it until about 9 months ago, I couldn't stop thinking about him just him. I caught myself getting really excited when I saw a letter from him or getting nervous when we were about to meet up. It was about 8 months ago I sent a letter to Frodo asking to see each other, I didn't have anything to do for work I just got this wave of feelings that I needed to see him, my heart nearly skipped a beat when he said he was available. I knew I needed to ask him on that first day because if I didn't, I was afraid I would lose my courage and when he said yes, it was the happiest day of my life.” The couple smiled at each other share a kiss then look back at Sam. “See this is the first time we have gotten a chance to see each other in the last 6 months, and we didn't want to waste it. Tonight, during the party we were going to tell everyone. I hope you can understand our reasoning for everything.” Sam will smile at his friends, puts a hand on each of their knees and says, “Yes, I do understand, and I am very happy for you both and don’t worry I won’t be telling anyone, even Rosie.” The couple thanks him but before Sam leaves he asks Frodo for his pocket square. Frodo hands it over then Sam will leave, as he is headed back to his room, he sees Rosie coming back from dropping Elanor off at the nursery. The couple share a gentle kiss then go back into their room to finish getting ready.

At the party everyone is dressed in their very best. The kings are there at the entry way to greet everyone, Pippin is amazed that Legolas is hiding his pregnancy so well. Everyone finds a seat, Frodo and Faramir are not at the same table, they don’t want to give anything away yet.

There are some light conversations and there are musicians planned to play all night. After dinner is served and cleaned up, Aragorn gives Pippin a nod, that’s his cue to take the stage. Pippin stands, gives his wife a kiss and takes the stage.

With lute in hand Pippin will say, “Good evening, everyone! For those who don’t know me, I am Peregrine Took, but please call me Pippin. I am a member of the fellowship and dear friend to the kings. They asked me to help them out with making a special announcement by singing a song I wrote for them, as the king's dance. I don't have much more to say the song will say it all, so with that being said if the kings don’t mind coming to the dance floor. Aragorn and Legolas walk hand in hand to the dance floor and prepare to dance. “I hope you all enjoy!” Pippin will say then he starts to sing, as the kings start to dance.

As the song finishes, Aragorn and Legolas’ end with each of them having a hand on Legolas’ belly. “As the song says we are expecting a child that will be here in August. We are truly blessed and can’t wait to me our little one. We want to thank everyone for coming and celebrating not only this but for all the accomplishments we all made during and after the destroying of the ring. We are honored to have all of you here, so please continue enjoying yourselves.” Aragorn will say then the couple will turn and face Pippin. “Thank you so much! It was perfect!” Legolas will say. Pippin will smile and says It was his honor! The three share a hug, they each go back to their respective tables.

Dimond is in tears as Pippin approaches, “That was beautiful!” She will tell her husband. He will thank her as they share a gentle kiss. The rest of the hobbits will tell Pippin how great he did and that they loved the song. “All I’m going to say is, where was me and Rosie’s song when we had Elanor!” Asks Sam. Pippin will laugh and explain they didn't ask for one like the kings did. They all laugh knowing Sam was joking.

A few minutes later Legolas and Aragorn come to their table. All the rest of the hobbits wish them a congratulations and well wishes. The couple would thank their friends as they sit and talk some more. Seeing most of the fellowship at one table Gimli and Gandalf come over to join them. “The fellowship is back, we’ll mostly back together.” Gimli will say. They all look a little sad at that, when Merry picks up his drink, puts it in the air and says, “To Boromir!” The rest at the table would do the same thing. With that Frodo will look over at Faramir, who saw that and with a tear in his eye, he will smile at Frodo. He will stand up walk over to Faramir and brings him back to the table. They all cheer when he comes over and apologizes that they didn’t bring him over sooner. Pippin will pick up his cup again and says, “With Faramir here we should do that toast again.” Everyone agrees and they toast in honor of Boromir again. Frodo will smile and says, “That’s not why I brought him over here. We need to tell you something.” Frodo will pause takes a big deep breath, takes his partners hand, and continues, “We are together! We have been for about 6 months now.” The whole table seems a little shocked but still happy for them. “How and when did this happen?" Asks Gandalf. Frodo and Faramir will tell the same story they told Sam earlier. Again, the whole table is very happy for the couple.

The rest of the night goes on without a hitch, there is so much singing, laughter, dancing and so much more. Everyone is having a blast. Now with Frodo and Faramir’s relationship out, they are sitting together practically snuggling, they are so happy to finally be together. When the party is all said and done, goodbyes and more congratulations are given as the party goers head to bed.

It's right before bedtime Pippin was so busy during the party he barely ate, so he decided to head to the kitchen for a late-night snack. Before he leaves, he gives Dimond, who is reading a book, a quick kiss and tells her he will be back soon, then he leaves. Due to Aragorn knowing hobbits, he makes sure to always have a little something out for them in the kitchen, he isn't sure when one will get hungry. As Pippin is approaching the kitchen he hears some light singing.

Pippin cracks the door to see who is singing, to his surprise its Merry. He will walk in and when Merry sees who it is he stops. “Hey, that was really good, I didn’t know you knew how to sing this well and those lyrics are pretty great.” Pippin will say. Merry will blush a little and says, “You think it was good?!” Pippin will explain how good it is. Merry smiles at his friends' words. “So, who is the lucky person you were singing about?” Pippin asks. Merry will softly say, “It doesn’t matter I’ve actually tried flirting and doing kind gestures, but they went unnoticed.” Pippin will look at his friend and say, “Can you at least let me know who it is? Maybe I can help.” Merry looks at him a little shocked and says, “No that’s okay besides they are in a relationship, so…” Pippin will smile and says, “I see. But why can’t I know, who it is?” Merry gets red and just says he can’t. Pippin will apologize for making him red. Merry shakes it off and says it’s fine. Pippin will ask, “Can you at least tell me about them?” Merry will smile and says, “They are kind, funny, smart, so talented and extremely adorable.” Pippin will smile and say, “Wow, they sound pretty great!” Merry will be looking down and blushing a little and says, “Yes, THEY are. I don't have feelings for just one person but a couple.” Now Pippin is the one looking shocked. “I know, it’s weird to be attracted to a couple, you don’t have to look like that. I’m embarrassed enough as it is.” Merry will exclaim. Pippin will smile and says, “It’s not weird at all, you can't help who you have feelings for.” Merry will half smile looking at Pippin and tells him he is just being nice. Pippin will take Merry’s hand and says, “No, do you know what is nice! All the gestures that did not go unnoticed. The bringing us our favorite drinks, the baking of pies, the making sure we got home okay, all of it. The problem was like I said they didn’t go unnoticed it’s just we didn’t know who they were aimed at.” Merry is just sitting there with his mouth wide open in complete and utter shock. Pippin will continue, “Dimond and I even talked that if you ever said you were attracted to both of us, we would see if you were interested in seeing how the three of us would work.” Pippin will pause pet Merry’s face and continue, “I mean how could we not develop feelings when you did all of those nice things for us and made us feel so special.” Merry’s eyes go wide and he said, “Wait! You both have feelings for me?!” Pippin will just rub his thumb on Merry’s face, stands up, takes his hand and without saying anything, leads him to his and Dimond’s room.

Pippin will open the door to his room. Dimond is still in bed reading when she says, “Hey, what’s going on?” Pippin will sit him and Merry down on the bed and says, “Well you see I found Merry here singing a love song about us.” Dimond will move to be right next to Merry and says, “About us? Is that so?” Merry is so red and nervously nods his head. Merry starts explaining that he had feelings for Pippin while on their mission and when they got home, he had this big plan to reveal them, but the couple got together so quickly he never got the chance. So Merry didn't want Dimond to think he was trying to steal her guy, so anytime he thought of doing something nice for Pippin he did something for Dimond also. After a while he realized he was thinking more about the gifts for Dimond, and he started noticing things she liked and didn't like. One day he caught himself staring at her and he realized, with trying to flirt with Pippin and making sure Dimond didn't catch on, he realized he was falling for her just as much as he was for Pippin. With those words Pippin and Dimond smile at each other then look at Merry and each give him a kiss on the cheek. Merry will take a hand of each of them and asks, “Now what’s next?” Pippin will whisper, “Let’s see how much fun the three of us can have together." The three smile and climb into bed.

The next morning Pippin wakes up to Merry staring out the window. Pippin walks over to Merry puts his arms around him and places his chin on his shoulder. “Good morning!” Says Pippin. Merry would smile and say it back. They are just holding each other for a minute when Dimond wakes up and says, “You two better not be having fun without me?!” They tell her they could never, and they wave her over, now the three are in a warm embrace. “Last night was incredible!” Merry will say. Dimond will giggle and says, “Yes it was!” Merry will smile but then the smile will quickly leave his face, he then turns to them and asks, “So this wasn’t a one-night thing, right?” Pippin will look at Merry and says, “Of course not! From here on out, I am happily and proudly not only Dimond’s but yours now, also...well I mean if you will have us!” Pippin will smile at both Dimond and Pippin and says, “I want nothing more!” The smile returns to his face as the three of them hug!

For the next few days all who were at the party spend the last little bit of time together before going their separate ways. One evening at dinner, Pippin and Dimond announces they are now in a relationship with Merry. Everyone was a little surprised but very supportive, just like they were with Frodo and Faramir.

The day before everyone is set to leave Aragorn and Legolas calls Pippin to the throne room. After he is announced, the kings again thank him for the beautiful song he wrote them. Pippin will tell him it was his pleasure. Aragorn will smile at his friend and says, “How would you like to be the official song writer and part time bard of Minas Tirith?” Pippin looks a little shocked and says, “Thank you for the kind offer, but I’m assuming I would have to live here to have that title.” Aragorn would smile at his friend and says, “No, actually we only use bards of your talent a few times a year, so you would come for those events and then go home. We would pay for your travel expenses as well. Whenever a special event approaches, where a song is needed, we would write you telling you we need a song, the subject matter and when we need it by. This job comes with a monthly allowance, if you accept. Does all this sound to your liking?” Pippin would look very intrigued and with a big smile on his face will say, “Yes, of course yes!” The kings would come down from their thrones and thank their friend. Pippin will say, “No, thank you! I will not let you down.” Legolas will smile and says, “We know you won't!” The friends smile at each other and have some little light conversation before Pippin leaves.

A few days later the hobbits are talking about their trip home tomorrow, when Frodo says, “I will not be coming home, well at least not right away. Faramir and I want to spend more than a few days together; we want some quality time and figure out how we will make things work.” Sam will put a hand on his friend's shoulder and says, “You two deserve it, take all the time you need. I’ll watch over your place until you get back.” Frodo will thank Sam and all his friends for the support.

It’s the next day the kings, Frodo and Faramir are at the doors of the castle wishing the rest of their friends a very fond farewell. They promise to stay in touch, and they all look forward to hearing the good news of the birth of the new prince or princess and they also look forward to their next time together. They all say their goodbyes as the 5 hobbits leave.

It's the beginning of fall all the hobbits and Faramir are enjoying a relaxing day together. Life couldn't be better for them. Merry, Pippin and Dimond are very happy as a throuple and are happily living together and talking about a marriage with the three of them. Sam and Rosie are expecting their second child in about a month or, so. Sam is a nervous wreck in anticipation, but Rosie is as cool as a cucumber. Frodo and Faramir have decided to spend half the year in the shire and the other half in Minas Tirith, so neither had to give up their lives and they can still be together. They also just got word of the birth of Legolas and Aragorn’s daughter; the new family is doing great!

Everyone can't wait until their next visit to Gondor to meet princess Aeliana. Pippin has been hard at work writing a song for his friends and new niece, it’s just about done and should be ready to send to the kings very soon. Pippin also surprised Sam and Rosie with a song after announcing Rosie’s pregnancy, the couple loved and appreciated it.

Its mid-February Pippin, Dimond, Merry, Sam, Rosie, Elanor and Sam and Rosie’s new son Tolman are on their way to Gondor for the yearly celebration. Frodo and Faramir are already there for their 6 months in Minas Tirith. They are all excited to meet Aeliana and introduce Tolman to Aragorn and Legolas. Frodo and Faramir got to meet Tolman the day before they left the shire. Everyone is very excited to be all together again.

With new and old relationships thriving, new babies and so much more happiness, it looks like all involved in the war of the ring have finally got the dark time fully behind them and they all can live happy and peaceful lives.
