Sasha’s body ached all over. Now that she wasn’t fighting Darcy or trying to stop the moon from crashing into Amphibia or saying goodbye to Grime, it was all catching up to her. Anne was looking a little pale, and Marcy had been limping. In short . . .
“I think we might need a hospital,” Sasha said as the trio stood and watched the LA traffic rushing by.
“Anyone have a phone? I’d like to call my parents,” Anne inquired.
Marcy handed her hers. “That probably is the best course of action.”
“What, you don’t want to hitchhike?” Sasha remarked. The other two looked at her strangely. She threw her hands up. “I don’t want to hitchhike either. I was being sarcastic.”
Anne called her parents and soon the Boonchuys drove and picked up the three girls. Anne hugged her parents tight and asked, “Can you take us to the hospital? I think Sasha and Marcy might need it.”
“You’re not getting out of going too, Boonchuy. I mean, you–” Sasha was about to say died, like really actually died, but Anne made a cutthroat motion. “–Were also there for the whole thing.”
“You’re all going to the hospital,” Mrs. Boonchuy said firmly. And there really wasn’t any arguing with her.

Anne flopped onto her back. She’d been laying on her stomach on her bed, but now she had to decide whether or not to risk heartbreak and text her old number.
Oh, who was she kidding, she was totally going to risk the heartbreak. Though it was unlikely, she needed to see if there was any way to contact the Plantars through dimensions. Maybe Sasha and Marcy could even talk to their friends sometimes.
