Work Text:
Sunlight streams through the window as a gentle breeze flutters the curtains. It’s a quiet, lazy morning, the whole room still and quiet.
Jimmy yawns, blinking against the harsh light that’s invaded his eyes, grumbling as he ruffles his canary wings, attempting to somewhat stretch them before giving up lazily. He snuggles closer into the crook of Tango’s neck, basking in the warmth that radiates from the blaze hybrid.
Tango, presumably already awake, kisses Jimmy’s forehead gently. “Morning, rancher,” he yawns, tail flicking.
The canary hybrid mutters something incoherent in return, holding Tango tighter. The blaze chuckles and runs his hands through Jimmy’s blonde locks. “Think you could take it easy on the grip?”
“Why?” Jimmy whines. “You’re warm.” He places a feather light kiss on Tango’s neck.
A mix of a chuckle and a sigh escapes from Tango’s mouth as caresses the back of Jimmy’s head gently. The blaze spares a glance at the clock before shuffling the blankets and closes his eyes, head resting on Jimmy.
The couple more minutes never hurt anyone.
