Summary
The last thing anyone needed in their second year of University was an eccentric weirdo to take responsibility for. Tutoring was one thing, running the astrophysics club was another, but the third and most out-of-place element was undoubtedly X--an equation with no solution.
X--or rather, Gojo Satoru—sat across the table, lazily strumming a guitar, lips pouted, his expression carrying the usual air of boredom, as though nothing could ever entertain him enough. Suguru watched him again, resisting the urge to stretch his arms across the table and gouge out his eyes. Instead, he gave a small, subtle smile, reaching forward only to flip back a few pages in the book lying between them.
“Here,” he said flatly, his tone tolerating X but refusing to form the softer thought behind it. “Finish this one exercise and you can head off to rehearsal. Strum to your heart’s content.
