Summary:

It was over, the worlds had merged and everyone was going to live happily ever- wait.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Inko opened the door to the house after a week-long vacation in Okinawa she had won in a sweepstakes. She had felt bad about leaving Izuku alone, but he had just told her to enjoy it. 

 

Wheeling in her suitcase into the house, she left it in the living room before doubling back to see Izuku. What she saw, however, caused her to gasp. Izuku was lying in bed with his eyes closed, breathing in and out softly. Curled up next to him, using his chest as a pillow and one of Izuku’s arms wrapped around her while hers grasped the jacket of his gakuran, was a girl with fox ears wearing a white and yellow sweater-dress and tights. While that was startling enough, curled up at the foot of his bed was a giant white and black tiger. It raised its head, and then spoke in the refined voice of a western butler

 

 “Ah, Mrs. Midoriya, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. I hope you don't mind being quiet for a bit, the Master and Missus are resting, and they have been separated for quite some time,” The tiger stood, stretching its back before saying “Come, I will explain what I can, Mrs. Midoriya.”

 

Inko, on shaky, confused legs, turned to let the tiger out of the room and followed him.

Izuku woke slowly, the numbness on his right arm dragging him from sleep. Turning his head, the thirteen year old focused on the source of said numbness.

 

And his eyes, both of them, snapped wide open. His breath halted in his throat. His hands began to shake. Please, let this not be a dream, please…

 

Izuku slowly wrapped his arms around his wife, burying his head in her hair and sobbing into it. He felt her ears twitch as she woke up.

 

“Izuku?” She slurred out in her accent, clearly more asleep than awake… Then her eyes snapped open and she jerked the few inches between them closed, burying herself under Izuku’s chin, “Izuku!”

 

“This is real, right?” Izuku choked out, rolling so Nia was resting on his chest, the familiar, but at the same time long forgotten weight of the Blade on his chest bringing comfort, “I swear, if this is more of Klaus’-”

 

Nia cut him off by climbing up a little bit more and kissing him. It was fervent, it was desperate, nearly all consuming. 

 

It was real.

 

“It's me,” Nia said softly, cupping Izuku’s face as she pulled back, “it’s me.” 

 

Izuku responded by nuzzling his cheek against her, before pausing, “Where are the others? I can feel them, but it's like they're far away… Pyra, Mythra… Milton, Glimmer, Mio…? What's…? I don't get this. Mio’s… Fuzzy, like she's bonded to someone else as well as me or something.”

 

“Probably her boyfriend, Noah,” Nia said, causing Izuku to frown.

 

“Boyfriend, eh?”

 

“Oh, stop it,” Nia said, hitting his arm, “You didn't see them, they're good together.”

 

“I’m her father, Nia, it's my responsibility to disapprove of him until he and I share a few rounds. Gotta know he can protect her.”

 

“Mio can protect herself, Izuku,” Nia deadpanned.

 

“And so can you, it won't stop me from being protective of you,” Izuku said, tenderly, “You know me, I’d rather get hit and patch it up after then have one of you take it for me.”

Mina was sitting on the beach watching the meteor shower going on overhead. It was like a kaleidoscope in the sky, sparkles of every color raining down across Japan. Suddenly, one came flying down and nearly hit Mina in the head, leaving an imprint in the sand behind her. Reaching downwards, Mina picked a perfect U-shaped crystal out of the sand. That was strange, it didn't seem natural, but where else could it have come from?

 

Electricity sparked in her hand, causing her to yelp and try to drop the crystal. Instead, it stuck to her hand as if by a magnet. Slowly, it rose up out of her hand, shooting electricity in every direction, though it seemed to bounce off an invisible, human shaped barrier, Mina scrambled back as the white-yellow light exploded into the barrier.

 

The light took one step and faded, revealing a long, zebra-print stocking ending in a flat heeled boot with stylized electric designs on the sides. The next step, the other foot appeared wearing the same. With the third, a skimpy, pink and yellow leotard that exposed most of her stomach and a decent amount of cleavage appeared, the fourth and a blue eyed face appeared from the light, blonde hair that darkened to orange near the tips ending in a long ponytail and a pair of black horns were exposed.

 

As Mina sat there stunned, the girl that had just appeared looked around, before her eyes landed on Mina, “Oh. My. Goodness! Are you my Driver? You are, aren't you? I can sense the ether flow! It's nice to meet you, I’m Kora! What's your name?”

 

“Uh, Mina… Ashido Mina?” Mina said, blinking in confusion, “What a Driv-”

 

“We both have horns! Oh, that's awesome! I’m so excited to meet you, Mina!”

 

“Nice to meet you too?” Mina said, more a question than a response, “What's a Driver- and, uh- how did you get stuck in that crystal on your-”

 

“Oh, I’m a Blade, we all have Core Crystals! It's… A bit complicated, I don't understand it all the way myself, but let's just say this “me” was born when you touched my Core Crystal! Anyways, because you woke me up, we’re partners, wait, let me give you…”

 

Electricity cracked, and suddenly Kora was holding a pair of heavy gauntlets, which she quickly thrust into Mina’s arms.

 

“...those! They’re my blade form! Take good care of them, ok? They’re a sign of our bond, Mina!”

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Inko stared as Izuku and the girl, Nia, walked out of his bedroom. They were both red eyed, Izuku far more than Nia, but clearly happy, fingers interlaced. They walked over to the couch, sitting down together as Izuku rested a scimitar with plants growing off of it in their laps and Nia buried her free hand in Dromarch’s fur. Izuku’s eyes traveled to the tiger and he smiled gently, “We missed you, mate.”

 

“And while I don't remember it, I suppose I missed you, Master Izuku,” Dromarch said, “And, of course, I missed you Lady Nia.”

 

“Me too, me too,” Nia said softly, running her hand up and down the tiger’s head. Then her eyes traveled to Inko and she nudged Izuku with her elbow.

 

“Huh?” Izuku looked over at where Inko was sitting, apparently actually comprehending she was there for the first time, “Oh, Mum. I, uh, I suppose I should do some introductions, shouldn't I… How much did Dromarch tell you?”

 

“Your adventure,” Inko said simply and Izuku nodded, taking his hand off the sword hilt to rub his eye.

 

“Righ’, well, this is my wife, Nia,” Izuku introduced the fox girl, causing Inko to choke on her own spit for a moment, “Nia, this is my mum, Inko.”

 

“Nice to finally meet you,” Nia said, holding out a hand. Inko shook it, staring at the girl and trying to comprehend what was happening. 

 

“Wife?” Inko said, slowly.

 

“Ah, yes,” Nia reached into a pouch and pulled out a picture, handing it to Inko. She took it, looking at it for a while.

 

Starting in the front row, there was a large, rotund creature Inko had never seen before, tiger furred and with two long flaps spread wide, next to him was a young girl, who couldn't be older than fifteen, wearing a red cape and white hat on top, looking curiously at the next person, a blonde woman cradling a crying child swaddled in a white blanket. Next to her was a redhead holding a sleeping child, and then a woman who was clearly an older Nia holding a baby clearly laughing at Dromarch, who sat next to them.

 

In the upper row was a woman wearing a military uniform and her hair done up in a bun, a woman with purple-blue hair that was apparently on fire, and then- Izuku. He was taller, hand resting on Nia and the blonde's chairs as he smiled proudly, hair tossed in every direction. Next to him was a green haired young woman wearing a hat with a lightbulb on it, standing next to a man wearing an eyepatch.

 

“Where's, uh… Where's the fathers?” Inko croaked out as Izuku walked to her side, “Of the other two children? I’m assuming your the father of Nia’s-”

 

“Oh, no, they're all mine,” Izuku said, smiling like the proudest parent in the world, “That's my child with Mythra, Milton, my child with Pyra, Glimmer and my child with Nia, Mio. They're around, somewhere, I hope to find them so you can meet them… Well, so my family can be whole again, obviously, but also so you can meet them.”

 

“O-oh,” Inko’s mind stopped, restarted, stuttered, and finally shut down again, eyes rolled up into her head and she collapsed.

She came to awareness slowly, feeling something draw her out. She was… Who was she again? What did she look like? How did she sound? What were her ideals? 

 

To teach, to heal, to raise. That was her core, to raise those who would lead the next generation and heal the injured.

 

The tips of pale skinned fingers pushed into existence as knowledge of basic necessity entered her mind. How to eat, sleep, live were supplied from the Core Crystal as gold, blue and white fabric flowed over her body. Electricity cracked along her body as she opened her eyes. Her name… Her name was…

 

Oh, that was right, it was Vess!

 

A smile flitted onto her face as she knelt down, a long nose and wide eyes finally forming as she stared at the little girl with a horn on one side of her head and silver hair, “Hello, little one. I’m Vess, what's your name?”

 

“I-I’m Eri,” the girl said shyly, reaching out to touch the offered hand, only for a muscular man to step in front of her. Vess stood up, still smiling.

 

“Is there something wrong, sir? I was just introducing myself to my Driver.”

 

“What the hell is a Driver?” he said, doing his best to be intimidating in his red floral shirt. Vess’s smile shrunk slightly, confusion leaking into her expression.

 

“You… Don't know what a Driver is?” Vess was pretty sure that was supposed to be common knowledge. Still she shrugged and said, “It's what we call someone who woke a Blade from their Core Crystal. Eri, did you pick up a rock that looked like this?” 

 

Eri looked at Vess pointing at her Core Crystal, before nodding, “It was pretty… And then… You were here.”

 

“Yes,” Vess confirmed, “that's normal. I’m here to protect and raise you, Eri.”

 

“...If you're telling the truth, you’re gonna have to talk to the Boss.”

 

“Lead the way,” Vess said, smiling.

Nia watched Inko slump in her seat blankly, before looking back at Izuku, “I really hope that doesn't become a constant thing.”

 

“Me too,” Izuku said.

 

Nia played with her jaw for a few minutes, before saying, “Izuku?”

 

“Mh?”

 

“House Rhodes of the City, that was Glimmer’s house, yes?”

 

“Yes, I’d guess it was,” Izuku said, “Though can't say for certain, keeping everything propped up was so tiring I didn't really get a chance to look outside.”

 

“Which would mean- you did something to extend her life?”

 

“Yes.”

 

“Would you have done the same if it-”

 

“Of course I would have, Nia, what sort of question is that? I don't play favorites. They're my kids, you really think I want to be burying them before I’m in the ground myself?”

 

“Ok, I just… Just had to check,” Nia let a bit of vulnerability into her voice, “I know you love Pyra and Mythra mo-”

 

“Who told you that bloody nonsense?” Izuku demanded, “I love you just as much as I love them. I wouldn't string you along like that if I didn't.”

 

Nia kissed him gently, tucking herself under his chin.

Inko woke up to see Izuku and Nia embracing, Nia’s ear to his chest and her breathing calm as they swayed side to side. Inko’s suspicions, what little remained, frayed and broke like a rope.

 

“Izuku?” 

 

“Oh, you’re awake!” Izuku said, letting go of Nia to turn towards Inko, smiling, a warm glow in both of his eyes, “Sorry if I overloaded you earlier. How are you feeling?”

 

“Good,” Inko said, standing up and taking hold of Izuku’s shoulders, before pulling him into a hug. Izuku didn't show any sign of surprise, just wrapping his arms around her middle, “I’m not sure how to deal with a lot of what all you have told me… But if it's true, I’m very, very proud of you, you know that?”

 

“Thanks, Mom,” Izuku said.
