Chapter Text

As Boys 2 Planet comes to an end. So did everything else in Planet camp. And the top 8 contestants were quickly formed to debut as the new 5th gen boy group - Alpha Drive One.

Things move quickly, almost too quickly. The management was trying to maximize their time. 6 years might seem a lot to some but to Wakeone, every second counts as a money making opportunity. Wakeone were known to mismanage their idols. Having a low budget, mistreating the members, poor communication, and basically all the bad things you could think of.

And now barely minutes after the Boys 2 Planet finale, the top 8 members were already gathered to shoot a few content for their fans. While doing all so, still in their grey boys planet uniform.

“Okay we’re gonna do a quick Q & A relay session, each member will answer one question, the question will be shown on the screen here. Just read it out loud and give a short and simple answer. Okay?” One of the staff said. “Yes” “Alright” all the members nodded and understood the task.

“You may all take a seat. 4 members in front and another 4 at the back, "another staff member added. “Sangwon-ah, you should sit in the centre, you are our P01 after all” Junseo smiled at the younger male. “Sure hyung,” Sangwon smiled back as he sat down in the middle of the sofa.

“Ah Anxin-ie, you should sit next to me! You are my P02 after all,” Sangwon chimed happily, his hands quick to grab Anxin by the wrist, pulling the younger male down next to him. And the cat does just that. He drops down on the sofa with no second thoughts, not wanting to argue.

The kitten was too exhausted from the long 5 hours of the finale and all the crying from being separated from his favourite Kangmin Hyung. Anxin sat down next to Sangwon, almost lifeless and low on energy. Their shoulders brushed and their knees slightly rubbed against each other. “Thanks Hyung!” The younger cat just smiled at his comment.

The other members were quick to take a seat, wanting to quickly get it done with. “This is the mic, we will start with a group greeting, and then Xinlong you will be the first one to read your question and give an answer, then pass it to Anxin, and then we go one round, Alright?” The staff said as he gave the mic to Sangwon, all 8 members nodded.

The shoot started off easy and well, since they were all used to being on camera. It was nothing new, the questions given were easy and straight forward. Xinlong answered the first question neatly, and swiftly passed on the mic to Anxin who was next to him.

“Yes, so it’s my turn now~” Anxin smiled, eyes on the screen, “Which member would you most want as a roommate?” The cat perked up as he read the text on the screen, “Wait… I thought we each had our own single room?” He laughed nervously, “will we actually be living with roommates?”

Anxin chuckled at the question and the staff were giving him a panicked look. The poor boy wasn’t toying around, he genuinely thought he would be getting his own room, after a whole 4 months of camping and rooming with a bunch of men who stinks and snores while they sleep, the least he wanted was a little peace and quiet.

Not to mention, Anxin grew up from a very well off family, definitely not the richest but enough to say that his family is comfortable. Plus with the fact that he will be a debuting idol, he honestly thought that they will be getting better treatment, let alone dorm arrangements.

“Of course we will!” Junseo commented quickly, sensing the awkwardness, “ahhh I see, sorry~” Anxin quickly smiled adding in some aegyo with his dimple showing, hopefully this will cover up the small damage he did. “Ahh well for roommates…” The cat boy started his answer, eyes scanning through his new found members.

As Anxin's eyes wandered around, but Sangwon had only his eyes on the cat boy. Lowkey anticipating his answer, highkey wanting it to be him. The bunny boy was waiting in hopes that the younger male will land his eyes on him, hoping that their eyes will meet, and Anxin will pick him as the member who he wants as a roommate.

“I pick…” Anxin continued, “Xinlong hyung!” He confirmed, and then came along a bunch of ‘oohs’ and ‘woah’. Even the members had not expected this answer. “What’s the reason?” This time it was Geonwoo who asked.

“Well, I’ve never roomed with Xinlong hyung before! So I think I’d wanna try!” The cat boy smiled cutely, not knowing that his member on the right was practically drilling fire holes straight into him.

Anxin didn’t move and didn’t budge at all. He didn’t even care to notice. He was already too tired to care, all he wants right now, is a long bath and a good bed. On the other hand, Sangwon on his right felt his insides burn and tingle at the mention of Xinlong. Not that he has anything against him. But just the thought of him and Anxin not being roommates, churned him in a way he didn’t like.

Honestly it didn’t even matter who was mentioned, what matter was ‘why was it not me?’ Sangwon felt his body heating up from the sudden emotion. Jealousy

“Hyung it’s your turn” The cute cat finally looked over to him. Passing him the mic and their fingers slightly brushed at the action. The younger male was still so smiley, dimple showing like he did nothing wrong, well technically he didn’t.

Sangwon wished he hadn’t made eye contact with Anxin. He grabs the mic swiftly from the younger cat, but that 0.001 second of eye contact was enough to tick him off the wrong way. ‘What if Xinlong really did become his roommate?’ ‘How will we be splitting our rooms?’ ‘Everyone will get their own roommate, and there’s a high chance that Anxin won't be his roommate’ The thoughts made Sangwon turn sour, but he knows better than not to let his emotions take over right now.

“Yes, so now it’s my turn!” He gave a small smile before reading the question on the screen, “among the members who has the most special skills?” This time it was Sangwon’s turn to pick. The bunny boy’s eyes wandered among the 7 members. Eyes meeting with the members, but locking contact with Anxin for the longest time. Sangwon would be lying if he said he hadn’t made up his mind. Honestly, he wanted to choose Anxin immediately. In fact, regardless of the question he would still pick him. Always. Sangwon always chose Anxin.

It didn’t matter what Anxin’s special skills were, or what he was going to do after being chosen. Sangwon simply just wanted to pick him.

But call him childish, or maybe this is when he let his emotions take over him, something inside him nudged him to pick Leo, who was on his right. Deep down hoping this would ignite something in Anxin too, something like a small payback for not picking him as his answer earlier. And so he did, “I think it’s Leo Hyung~”

“That was a good shot everyone! Good job!” The head staff commented. All the members quickly stood up and bowed, followed by a chain of “Good job!” “Rest well!” “thank you for today” “you’ve worked hard!”

Slowly one by one, the members removed their mic, taking off their accessories and all the gear, before their manager quickly stepped in, “Good news and bad news!” his manager smiled lightly. “Bad news is, you’re not done for the day just yet!” He announced to all the 8 members, “Good news is, your idol life starts right now!” Some of the members groaned in exhaustion, some cheered and some just smiled and stayed quiet. “I believe all of you had already packed your bags prior to the finale right?” The manager asked and they all nodded along.

“Well we will now be heading to your new dorm now!” The manager stated. “Wow yayyyy” Sanghyeon the maknae cheered, Geonwoo giving him a pat on his head, almost brushing his hair, thinking he was adorable.

“Since you have 8 members. We will be splitting into 2 dorms, one on the 7th floor and another one on the 10th floor. There will be 4 members in each house and one manager will be staying with you guys. It will be me, Jiyoon manager-nim and Jaesuk manager-nim.” Jiyoon the manager gestured to the other staff, Jaesuk waved and gave them a small nod.

“There are three rooms, us managers will be taking the smallest room, and then 2 of you in both of the bigger rooms, all clear?” Jaesuk asked and they all nodded. “So to be fair to everyone, we have already put all of your names in this random generator that will be pairing your name. Does anyone have any objections?” The manager looked over to the members, as if they had the right to object.

Sangwon wanted to curse out how shitty this random arrangement thing was. Or maybe he was just down bad, and really wanted to be roommates with Anxin again. Something about Anxin that is just very compelling, heck it’s almost addictive.

From the very beginning, when both Planet C and Planet K met during one of their open stage shoots, Sangwon has been smitten by the chinese boy since then. His brown hair, slender figure and that small face of his, Sangwon remembers it all too well. There even was this video of him that went viral, it was a video of Sangwon staring and craning his neck out, just to take a look at the Planet C’s center.

It was no secret, Zhou Anxin has always been captivating, attracting, almost spellbinding. And everyone around him wants a piece of him. Sangwon knew that very well.

Zhou Anxin is addictive, and Lee Sangwon is addicted. Ever since their first encounter, Sangwon couldn’t help but want more of Anxin. When they met for the first time during the open shoot, Sangwon wanted to speak to him. When they got grouped together for Whiplash performance, Sangwon wished to be in the same group as Anxin forever.

It pained him a lot when he saw Anxin walking away to the ‘Breathe’ vocal performance, when he thought they would be in the same team for ‘Like Jennie’. And it pained him even more when he saw how happy he was with Kangmin.

And it was as if god had answered his prayers, they were teamed up again for Chains performance. What made Sangwon even more of the glee was that Anxin was his roommate. For that entirety of three weeks, Sangwon gets to have Anxin all by himself. Every night, full of cuddles, midnight snacking and heart to heart talks.

Zhou Anxin is addictive, and Lee Sangwon is addicted. It’s like a drug at most. Once you experience the highest of high, other things just can’t quite seem to match up to it. When they got grouped together for ‘Never been 2 heaven’ performance. It was great, another win per say. But then this time, Anxin was roommates again with Kangmin. Who he claims is his favourite hyung. By the way, that still burns Sangwon in the wrong way.

It’s almost like for every interaction Sangwon has with Anxin, it just keeps topping the previous one, and it makes Sangwon keep on wanting more and more of Anxin.

“Okay since there is no objection, let’s start with our first pair” Manager Jaesuk said as he pressed the button on the ipad. The generator then began turning, and seconds later the first pair was shown on screen. “Sanghyeon and Geonwoo! You guys are the first pair!” Manager Jiyoon said. “Congratulations~” Junseo laughed at Geonwoo, the others let out a small chuckle.

Sangwon grew anxious, he’s not good at math, he’s more of a literature guy but even he knew that the chances of getting Anxin as his roommate was less than 20%, and that is not even a lot to begin with.

“Next pair is Junseo and Xinlong” their manager said, the two then exchange a high five. Sangwon wanted to combust at that point, apparently rooming with Anxin is a very serious job for him. By now his chances were higher, about 30%.

Heck in his mind, he had already come up with a bunch of excuses, just so that he could room with Anxin. With the remaining members, if he were to pair up with Leo, Sangwon would come up with the excuse of saying how Leo snores too loudly at night. And if he pairs up with Hao-ge, he’s gonna say that Hao-ge is too much of a clean freak and Sangwon is more of the messy type, which leads him no choice but to room with Anxin.

“Okay the third pair and also the final pair, will be ah congrats! Leo you’re with Jiahao and Anxin with Sangwon!” The manager smiled. Sangwon mentally cheered. Or should I say, there were literally fireworks going on in his orbs right now.

This is it, the moment he had longed for, the moment ever since he first laid eyes on the chinese boy. 6 years. 6 years of rooming together with Anxin. Sangwon couldn’t hide the glee, his cheekbones rising up almost immediately, his ears turned the slightest red, and his mind clouded with thoughts of what he’s going to do with the cat boy behind closed doors.

“Ah hyung! We’re roommates again!”

“Oh we get two beds!” Anxin chuckled as he dropped his big purple barney bag on the floor. “I genuinely thought we would be sharing a bed when they said roommates,” the chinese boy continued to laugh. 

Sangwon let out a chuckle, how can one be this innocent and gullible? But another thought was quick to cloud in on his mind, did Anxin not like sharing a bed with him? 

The ride to the dorms was fast. Technically it was already midnight, the Boys 2 Planet finale lasted till past 12 and with a few more shoots that they had, they ended up wrapping the entire show at about 2am, needless to say, there was no traffic. It was now already 3 in the morning, where all the members had reached their dorm. 

And Just like the manager described, there were 3 rooms, 2 bigger ones and a smaller one for the manager. Anxin, Sangwon, Junseo and Xinlong were staying on the 10th floor and Geonwoo, Sanghyeon, Leo and Jiahao were on the 7th floor. 

“Oh hyung! Since you’re older and you’re P01, you can choose which bed you want!” Anxin giggled cutely as he leaned into Sangwon. The older man finds it cute, even after a long and tiring day, Anxin never fails to put on a smile. 

But to Sangwon, choosing whichever bed didn’t matter because as long as they stay as roommates, he plans to cuddle with Anxin every night he gets. 

The younger boy looked at him, while he fake acted like he was in a dilemma, Anxin's eyes were following his every action, like an eager cat waiting for his treat. “I’ll pick that one” He simply pointed to the bed that was beside the window, just to answer the cute cat. 

“Okay I’ll sleep here then” Anxin chimed and almost immediately he dropped down on the bed, “Aigoooo~ today was such a loooong day!! I feel like I might pass out at any moment” He whined. 

“Oh by the way, hyung you can shower first! I will shower after you” another comment came from Anxin. ‘We should shower together instead’ Sangwon replied mentally, as he recalled that one time of showering with the younger male during their previous roomming session. 

It was during their ‘Chains’ mission. After a long day of practice, Anxin had felt hopeless practicing for the killing part. Feeling defeated knowing that he was up against his most beloved Jiahao Ge. It was like a double edged sword moment, both of them needed the killing part badly, Jiaohao was on the verge of getting eliminated and Anxin had never been in the spotlight before. And at the same time, both of them did not want the other to be hurt if one gets the killing part. 

The thoughts had affected Anxin both physically and mentally. His mind was clouded with stress and anxiety. And he was losing confidence as every second passed by. All of this going on while his body was physically burning in cold sweat, practicing the choreo again and again. And to make things even worse, Chains team was filled with quite an avengers line up with — Sangwon, Junseo, Geonwoo, Leo and Kangmin. All of them are all stars and were in the top 10. Anxin felt another weight knowing he had to fight for the spotlight. 

Amidst his stress, Sangwon had noticed it all. Every night after their practice, Sangwon would comfort the boy. Some nights they cuddle, some nights they talk, and some nights they just laid in bed and wait till the sun rises. Each night was just as significant as the other. Sangwon grew more and more obsessed over Anxin, and Anxin was super dependent on Sangwon. 

One night, Sangwon had suggested that they shower together, claiming that it would help Anxin to ‘relieve some stress’ or whatever that means. Anxin being naive and gullible, just went along with whatever his hyung said. Having fully trust in his hyung. The rest is history.

Sangwon hummed as a response “okay i’ll shower first then”, he turned over to the younger male, watching as he pulled out his phone, not bothering to unpack. “You don’t want to unpack while you wait?” Sangwon asked, out of curiosity. 

“Oh no hyung, maybe later, I’m going to facetime with Kangmin hyung!” Anxin chirped cutely, his energy came running back as his finger pressed along the keyboard on his phone. 

Sangwon didn’t even think twice as he read out loud his thoughts “Facetime? Kangmin? Now?” His tone was sharp, and his voice came out louder than he had imagined. Anxin immediately sat up straight on his bed, seeing the older male’s reaction. 

“Yeah! Do you wanna join us hyung? I’m sure Kangmin hyung misses you too! Wait till he finds out we are roommates again!” The young cat smiled cutely, his dimples showing at every word he speaks. 

Sangwon didn’t know if he wanted to pounce on him or just shower him with kisses. How can one be so oblivious? He knew the two were close. Especially after their ‘Breathe’ mission together, somehow Kangmin and Anxin became inseparable and Sangwon hated every bit of it. It ticked him off even more when Anxin had picked Kangmin as his favourite hyung during one of the instagram live shows. 

And before he could form a proper sentence, his thoughts took over again, “Why are you even facetiming him? It’s already past midnight. Do you guys facetime often? You should let him rest, I bet he’s just as tired as we are” Sangwon glared at the younger male with a bunch of questions. 

But instead of reading the room and dropping the topic, the innocent cat answered all of his questions, “No hyung~ we don’t facetime often hahaha we don’t have our phones at planet camp remember? and Kangmin hyung was the one who wanted to call right after the show! anddd he said he’s not tired! So I'm waiting for his text now” Anxin smiled lightly, eyes going back and forth from his phone and to Sangwon. 

Sangwon wanted to scream. He mentally rolled his eyes and took a deep breath, “Anxin-ah” He started, “hmm?” The younger male replied, eyes still glued on his phone. “Look at me,” Sangwon said as he kneeled down in front of the younger. “Yes hyung?” He put his phone down and sat up straight, finally sensing the seriousness in his tone. 

“Is hyung not enough for you?” Sangwon muttered, his voice low almost sounding like a cry. “What do you mean hyung? Of course you’re enough! You’re more than enough hyung! You’re our shiny center, the one who never left P01-” “that’s not what I mean Anxin-ie” Sangwon cut him mid sentence, leaning closer to Anxin who sat neatly at the bed end. 

Confused by the change of atmosphere and the sudden close proximity, “... then what do you mean hyung?” the cat asked in a pout, his orbs dilated with a glint of the dorm’s dim light. Sangwon wanted to eat him up right there and then, but he needed to make things clear. 

“Do you like Kangmin hyung?” “or even Xinlong?” Sangwon asked another, “That’s an odd question… but yeah! I like both of them! I like all of you, everyone of you!” Anxin chirped cutely before continuing, “you’re all my hyungs that took good care of me during planet camp!”

Sangwon took a deep breath, this boy really drives me crazy. “Anxin-ah, if Kangmin and Xinlong ask you to sleep with them, would you do it?” “Sleep with them?” Anxin replied puzzled, “Well I've been roommates with Kangmin hyung before, so I think I’m fine with it, but I haven’t roomed with Xinlong hyung! So that would be interesting!” 

I swear to god this kid, “If they ask you to cuddle with them, kiss them, and even shower with them, would you do it?” Sangwon asked another, this time even more serious than ever. Anxin felt his ears burn and his cheeks slowly tint in red at the mention of cuddling, kissing and showering. 

“Ah hyung… why would you ask that… but no! I don’t think I’m that close with them” The baby cat muttered in shyness, avoiding eye contact with Sangwon, feeling embarrassed. 

It was true. What Anxin had felt with Kangmin and Xinlong were simply just brotherhood. Brothers from another family, brothers who he can rely and depend on. He would never kiss them (well he kinda did), cuddle with them, let alone shower with them. 

And this is when realisation hit him, he had done all of this with Sangwon. What relationship were they in for them to be doing this? Was Sangwon a brother to him? Well yeah, he was someone who he really liked and loved to be around with. 

Did the kiss mean nothing to him? Well Anxin would be lying if he said it meant nothing. Every kiss he shared with Sangwon, had left him wanting more. He felt his face redden as he recalled a so-called make out session he had with Sangwon the other day.

It was during their mission for ‘Never been 2 heaven’ and just like any other days, Anxin was having a hard time trying to hit the notes. The practice room was quiet, everyone had already left, headed back to the dorms, and it was only Sangwon and Anxin. 

Anxin wanted to ace his role as the main vocalist in the group and Sangwon simply just wanted to watch Anxin practice, to keep him company. “Ah hyung~ The notes are so high! What if I mess up tomorrow?” The baby whined biting his lips as he leaned closer to his hyung. The two were sitting next to each other on the floor, their backs leaning against the wall, hands crumbling on the music sheet. 

“You’re not gonna mess up, you’ll do well, I know it” Sangwon muttered comforting the cat. “Hmm” Anxin let out a sad pout, resting his head on Sangwon’s shoulder. His heart shaped lips dropped down, letting out a soft sigh. 

On the other hand, Sangwon’s eyes never left the boy, he never stopped staring, “Anxin-ah, can I kiss you?” The older male’s comment made him perked up, now eyes meeting each other. Anxin felt a sudden jolt of panic, and before he could reply, Sangwon let out another word, “on the lips” 

Not knowing how or what to respond, the eye contact with Sangwon hyung was already too overwhelming, and he was feeling too flustered with everything else. The practice, the notes, and now this. “Uh… sure hyung” Anxin whispered softly, eyes still confused, thinking maybe this could distract him from practice for a while.  

And before Anxin can process everything else, Sangwon had already pulled Anxin in for a kiss. His hand on the nape of the younger, pushing him in gently, making sure there’s no room where Anxin can escape. 

Anxin’s eye shot wide open, shocked by the sudden action. This was the first time. The first time he had kissed Sangwon on the lips or anyone else actually. All the previous ones he had were simply just small pecks on the cheeks. Feeling too fluttered, Anxin gathered his strength to push him away, letting out a small whine while doing so. 

“Why do you not like it?” Sangwon knitted his brows, confused by the rejection. Anxin, who was breathing heavily, hands still on Sangwon’s chest, just cutely shook his head, “No hyung!” The younger male said, eyes avoiding him again, “so you like it?” A grin summoned upon Sangwon, teasing the younger like there’s no tomorrow. 

He wasn’t wrong, he did not not like it, but did he like it? Anxin didn’t know the answer to that. So instead of answering Anxin just shyly muttered, “I’m just not a really good kisser” “Then should we try it again? Practice till we’re good at it, till we get an all star” Sangwon was quick to retort, suddenly full of confidence, even making references like it was their mission to kiss. 

“Hyung you can’t just say that!” Anxin blushed, face redder than it ever was, finally pushing away and freeing himself from Sangwon’s hold. 

And that was that, they spent the entire night kissing, practicing till Anxin’s lips were practically swollen the next morning. Sangwon even gave him a bonus ‘gift’, a bunch of love marks on the younger male’s neck — the older claiming that this came as a set for practicing kissing with him.

“Woah Anxin, did you eat something that you’re allergic to? Why are your lips so swollen?” Leo asked the next morning where they were all gathered for Chains practice, “Yeah man, you even have these red rashes all over your neck” This time it was Kangmin who commented. “Ahh… is it that bad?” Anxin panicked shyly, his palms quick to cover his neck. 

“Hyung! You said it wasn’t gonna be obvious!” Anxin hurriedly ran over to the culprit behind the marks. “Well, the lights were too dim, I didn't know it would be this obvious!” Sangwon could only laugh at how flustered the younger male was, he finds it cute “come on, I have some concealer, let’s go cover them up before practice” The older male teases as the two hold hands and make their way to the powder room.

“Ya Zhou Anxin” Sangwon commanded, raising his voice slightly, making Anxin snap out of his thoughts. “Answer me, what do you mean you’re not close with them?” Sangwon glared, his tone still mad. The sudden change of tone and full name drop made Anxin squirm. This isn’t the Sangwon hyung he had known. His eyes were drilling holes into Anxin’s soul, his orbs dark and devilish. With his stage makeup still being on, it felt like Sangwon was a demon and was about to eat up his prey, Anxin.   

Sangwon had now grabbed both of the younger boys' wrists. Each in one hand as he held them firmly, so firm that Anxin could feel his pulse being blocked by his grip. “No hyung… I would not… I’m not close with them that way” He whined, his lips never failed to form a pout. Why is hyung acting this way?

“And what do you mean by ‘that way’?” Sangwon leaned in closer, their foreheads almost touching. Come on spit it out Anxin-ah say that I’m the only one. Anxin felt his breathing go unsteady, “Ah hyung, you’re too close…” Anxin looked away, his body slightly leaning back. 

“Zhou Anxin, I’m not letting you go until you say what I want to hear” Sangwon snared, Anxin gulps, feeling all his emotions were suddenly brought up to his eyes. This was the first time he had seen this side of Sangwon. Serious, fierce and aggressive. Sangwon was too serious, even more serious than competing during any mission in Boys Planet. 

Anxin felt his eyes get heavier, his chest tightening with a knot. Sangwon could feel Anxin’s hand as they started to tremble again. Anxin’s eyes wandered around Sangwon's face, as they blinked multiple times, trying to hold back his tears. Still, not knowing what to answer and afraid that if he gave a wrong answer, the older male might eat him entirely there and now. Swallowing down his dry throat and barely making up his mind, Anxin decided to just give in and surrender, “I don’t know what you want to hear hyung… But I’m sorry, I’m really sorry if I said or did anything that offended you…” Anxin pleaded, his tone soft and his eyes were getting teary as he spoke. 

Sangwon felt bad now, he felt like he had tormented the younger one too much. “Ah Anxin-ah, that’s not what I meant. You didn’t do anything wrong” Sangwon quickly let go of his hands and cupped Anxin’s face, his thumb rubbing circles on his cheeks. 

“Then why are you so mad hyung?” Anxin let out a croak, his tears were already rolling down his cheek, Sangwon was quick to rub it off. “I thought you were gonna eat me up, it felt like … like you were a demon for a second hahah…” Anxin chuckled mid tears. 

Sangwon giggled at his comment, “Anxin-ah, just answer to me this,” Sangwon stated, both hands still on his cheek, locking eyes with the younger cat. “Would you be okay if hyung kisses another person? If I cuddle with them, sleep with them, and shower with them?” 

Anxin felt his insides tingle again at the mention of intimacy, but this time he was quick to give an answer. The younger male shook his head cutely, “hyung… if Anxin could give you all of those, why would you still want to do it with others? Is Anxin not enough for you? Do you not like it from me?” 

And that was it. Anxin’s answer had settled something deep inside him. A quiet kind of glee he didn’t need to question. That was the only truth he had been wanting to hear all this while. 

Sangwon shook his head, “Anxin-ie, you’re more than enough for me, in fact you’re the best” the younger smiled at his response. “Anxin-ah, can hyung be selfish and ask a special request from you?” Sangwon cooed, treating Anxin like a fragile baby. “Of course hyung!” Anxin replied softly

“Let’s only kiss each other, cuddle with each other and shower with each other from now on okay? No more Kangmin hyung no Xinlong hyung. Let’s just make it you and me, are you okay with that?” Sangwon pleaded and begged, wanting to be selfish, wanting Anxin all to himself. 

“Ah hyung… you know I only do those with you” Anxin pressed his lips into a thin line, his cheeks tinted redder than ever. The boy had stopped crying but his face was just as red as it was. He wasn’t sure what he was feeling. But it felt good, it felt thrilling, like his heart was about to combust from beating so fast. But at the same time it felt safe and it felt warm. 

It was always like this when it comes to Sangwon. It was a strange kind of rush, the kind that would not leave him breathless from fear but instead something sweeter. Every glance they shared, and every accidental touch would send his pulse racing laps. He felt the thrills, excitement and the rush. 

And yet beneath all that intensity, there was calm. He had always felt safe. A safe warmth that wrapped around him like no other. 

Sangwon’s gaze lingered on him, too happy at Anxin’s response, “Then, Anxin-ah, can I kiss you?” flustered, Anxin felt his heart skip a beat, cheeks glowing in shades of red, eyes wide with anticipation. Then he nodded cutely, his breath catching in a mixture of nervousness and excitement. 

That was all the answer Sangwon needed. The nods, the slight confession, and the all so nervous Anxin in front of him. It was enough to remind him of how much they had meant to each other, and how badly they had wanted each other. 

Sangwon stepped closer, gently cupping Anxin’s face again, as if she were something so fragile and precious. The space between them narrowed and their lips charged with anticipation. It wasn’t like it was their first time kissing, in fact they have kissed so many times that Sangwon had lost count (yes he counts them). But this time, this kiss felt different. 

When they finally kissed, it wasn’t hurried or uncertain anymore. This time it was deep, warm and real. Anxin felt the rush flood through his body. His pulse quickening, his thoughts dissolving out and just feeling the soft velvet of Sangwon’s lips. It was a kiss that made him thrilled and safe all at once. 

When they finally parted, their foreheads rested together, both breathless and smiling. Anxin's heart was still racing, while Sangwon’s thumb brushed his cheek tenderly. 

“You’re like super duper red right now,” Sangwon teased softly. “Hyung! Stop it, whose fault do you think that is?” Anxin muttered back, his voice small but slowly gaining back the playfulness. 

Sangwon chuckled, “So… I’m your boyfriend now, you know that right?” The older boy declared. 

Anxin blinked, taken away by his words, “is that how it works?” the cat asked innocently. “Yes baby, this is how it works” Sangwon cooed before pulling him in for a deeper kiss.
