Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
I woke up well past midday, the summer sun pouring into my windows, making it impossible to continue my slumber. That’s fine, I had shit to do today anyways. I got up and got dressed in some baggy jeans and a random band shirt from my drawer. Nirvana, I thought to myself as I looked at myself in the mirror. I ran my fingers in my long hair and tied it up into a bun at the top of my head. Better to keep it out of my way as I work.
I headed downstairs and grabbed a banana on my way out the door. I headed into the back yard and into my garage, where my project of the day awaited: Bella’s truck. She hit me up last night and asked if I would be able to handle her tune up. Of course I agreed and gave her a discount. I had hoped that she would spend time with me as I fixed it up, just like we did that spring we fixed up the bikes, but as per usual she was busy with her bloodsuckers today.
After finishing high school I opened up my garage to fix cars full time, and thus far the money had sufficient and kept me busy. It keeps my mind off of the past and definitely keeps my mind off of what the fuck I’m gonna do with my future.
As I was finishing up the truck, Quill, Embry and Seth ambled into the garage. They were chatting excitedly about god knows what.
“Jake, let’s go to the beach,” Quill said, taking the wrench out of my hands and tossing it into my tool box.
“What, dude, I’m almost done…”
Embry cut me off, “Finish it later. There’s this weird goth girl camping out on the beach with this school bus.
I picked back up the wrench and bent back over the hood of the car, ignoring them.
“I saw her from the cliff when I was on patrol, she’s setting up a bonfire and doing yoga or something over there,” Seth chimed in. “I want to go check her out.”
I sighed and finished the last bit of work on the car, “Alright, I’m done, but I don’t get what’s so interesting about some girl on the beach.”
We walked over together, the boys all forming wild stories about who this strange girl may be. Quill guessed a convict on the run, Seth imagined her to be a travelling teacher with a school on wheels, and Embry guessed one of those van life youtubers. We saw her from way down the beach, she was beginning to light the bonfire and was sitting on the driftwood benches we locals set out eons ago. Glad someone’s getting use out of it.
As we neared, the stranger looked up and smiled at us. We made eye contact and the world fell out from beneath my feet. I staggered and fell to my knees in the sand, my mind being wiped clean except for the image of her… my imprint.
“Whoa, you okay?” they all said in unison, the strange girl standing to her feet and leering at me curiously.
“Yeah,” I stood to my feet and dusted myself off, trying to regain my cool. “Yeah, yeah. I just lost my footing for a second.”
“Oh, be careful,” she gestured to the driftwood, “Why don’t you sit down for a bit. Get back your bearings.”
We all sat down, the three boys getting comfortable already, ready to play with the newcomer. I ended up on the same log as her, on the far end. The three boys sat to her left on another log. “Seth told us there was a stranger on the beach.”
“A weird goth girl,” Seth corrected. “We don’t see many people that look like you around here.”
“A weird goth girl?” She laughed. “Well, if you find her, send her my way. She sounds pretty cool.”
Goth wasn’t the word I would use to describe this girl. Alternative and edgy, yes, but not goth. She had long, dark hair and a piercing in each nostril. Her outfit was casual, dark and earthy…not what I imagined when I thought of a gothic person, not that I have seen any in real life.
“I’m Jade,” she offered, reaching her hand out to shake our hands. Each of the boys introduced themselves and she turned to me last, her warm smile just about to make me melt.
I cleared my throat, “Jacob…Black.” My friends looked at me with confusion and amusement, giggling amongst themselves.
“Nice to meet you,” Jade said, a sly smile playing on her lips as she shook my hand. “You’re the locals, I take it?”
“That’s us, the Quilliette Tribe boys. And you’re on our Rez for some reason?” Seth pushed playfully, but determined to uncover the identity of this beautiful stranger.
“Ah, well I’m not one to stay rent free on Native land without paying dues or making an offering…I have burgers I bought today?” She offered genuinely. “I had a feeling that I would need the family pack.” She chuckled to herself.
“Offering accepted,” Quill said eagerly.
She smiled and skipped off to her van and dug around the back for a portable grill. We sat around and chatted as she cooked the hamburger meat. “What brings you to forks?” Asked Embry.
“Eh, nothing in particular. I travel intuitively and with the seasons. I had never even heard of Forks or your tribe before arriving here. I just felt so called to the area. The energy here is…magical.” None of us understood what she was talking about but nodded anyways. “Can you tell me about Forks or about your tribe? I’m super into the esoteric and regional legends. I always try to learn as much as I can about a place and its people as I travel.”
“Legends you say? Oh, Forks has legends for sure,” Seth smiled mischievously.
“Beaucoup legends,” Seth agreed.
We delved into the legend of our people, taking turns to relay the history that we have been told since we were young. Long before we learned that it was all true.
We were still telling the stories as Jade served our burgers. “Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing your stories with me,” she said gratefully. “I’ll have to tell you my town legends sometime if you’re interested. Louisiana is rich in lore and legend.”
“Louisiana? Damn girl, you’ve come a lone way,” Quill said with a mouth full of food.
“Mhmm, I have but I love life on the road.”
We chatted for hours until the sun began setting. Conversation flowed easily with Jade and she had so many questions and stories to tell. After dusk, Quill, Embry and Seth stood up to head home, but I wasn’t ready to leave Jade just yet. “Go on, guys, I’ll catch you later.”
Quill raised his eyebrow but nodded, “Let’s go.” He grabbed Embry and Seth’s shoulders and stood them up.
“Thanks so much, Jade,” Seth called as he walked away, waving goodbye. “The food was delicious.”
“Thanks, Jade, have fun Jake,” Embry winked and giggled.
“Don’t be a stranger, I love company and you guys are so cool,” Jade waved back as they cackled and hooted down the beach, undoubtedly making fun of me as they went.

Jade’s POV
I turned to the beautiful boy next to me and smiled, pleased that he’s decided to stick around a bit more. Jacob was awkward, but so cute. I could see him consciously trying to keep his cool throughout the night and it was pretty endearing. “Don’t have anywhere to be tonight?” I asked, nudging him a bit with my shoulder.
He chuckled nonchalantly, “Me? Nah, I’m all yours tonight… Unless it’s time for you to turn in for the night?” He began to stand up to leave.
I grabbed the hem of his shirt and tugged him down, “You can stay as long as you want, Jacob. Watching the stars is always better with someone by your side.” I took a deep breath and turned my face to the sky, noticing how many stars hovered over the ocean. I silently greeted the full moon, thanking her for her presence and light.
“Can’t argue with that,” Jacob breathed ever so softly.
Drip. drip. Drip.
Drops of freezing cold rain slowly fell on my upturned face before a steady shower began falling on us. I grabbed Jacob’s hand without thinking and ran towards the bus, “Come on, I’ll give you the home tour.”
He didn’t argue and followed me into the bus. He bent down, his huge body obviously very cramped standing in the bus, while I could stand comfortably. I shut the door behind us and turned on the lights. “I drive up here, I have a tiny kitchenette and storage in the middle and my bed and clothes and such are in the very back. That’s the whole tour,” I laughed. “You can sit there at the table if you’re comfortable or the bed back there is comfortable. We can watch a movie to wait out the rain if you want.”
I headed to the back of the bus without waiting on a response and turned on the TV I had set up on the wall of the bus. I sat on the bed opposite my tv and began flipping through the channels. “What’s the vibe?”
Jacob sat down next to me, sighing in relief of not having to be hunched over in such an uncomfortable manner. “Uh, anything’s fine.”
“Horror, romance, comedy?” I asked, looking up at Jacob’s big brown eyes. He nodded and leaned his back against the wall of the bus, extending his long legs.”Alright, but don’t complain that my pick is too scary.” I put on an 80s horror flick and as it started I got up to turn off the big lights and turn on my led lights that lined the bedroom area of the bus. Red seemed like the vibe.
“I don’t scare easily,” Jacob laughed. I leaned into Jacob’s side, perhaps a bit too boldly, but he was receptive, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
“You’re so warm…” I crooned, nuzzling myself closer into his embrace. We watched the movie like that for a while, silently watching the film. I placed my hands on his belly, feeling it go up and down with his breaths. At some point during the movie, I could feel his eyes on me rather than the movie. I ignored it, letting him watch me as much as he wanted, my heart fluttering just the tiniest bit under his gaze.
Suddenly his phone screen lit up from an incoming call. “Bella swan emoji black heart emoji is calling you,” I told him. He groaned a bit and turned the phone screen over. I got up and paused the tv, “I’ll give you some privacy.” I got up and sat on the far side of the bed with my back turned to him and I heard him answer in a hushed tone.
“What’s up, Bella? Yeah, I’m a bit busy right now…” I grabbed some pajamas from a bin and began changing. As I lifted my shirt over my head I heard Jacob’s breath hitch, and I glanced at him over my shoulder with a curious eye. I pulled my pajama top over my head and his breath returned to semi-normal. “Uh-huh the truck is all good. Tonight? Like I said, I’m a bit busy…. Tell you about it later. Okay, Bella, bye.” I changed into my pajama pants and returned to sit by Jacob.
“That wasn’t your girlfriend was it?” I asked suspiciously.
Jacob laughed, “Bella? Absolutely not.”
I cautiously leaned back into Jacob’s arms, “I assumed not. You seem like a nice guy and a nice guy wouldn’t be cuddling someone in a bus if he had a girlfriend.”
“If I had a girlfriend, I would be with her right now instead of with you on the bus, that is correct.” He jostled me a tiny bit, “But I don’t know if I would consider this to be cuddling.”
I smiled at his flirt, “Okay, so what is this?”
“I would say this is more like a church side hug. If you wanted to be cuddling your legs would be on my legs, like this,” he reached down and repositioned my legs over his, “And I would have both of my arms around you, like this,” He wrapped both arms around me. “Bonus points if we had a blanket over us.”
I reached next to me and pulled out my throw blanket and wrapped it up to my neck, “Oh, I see, now we are cuddling, my bad.”
Jacob chuckled and laid his cheek on the top of my head, “Bella is my oldest friend. We have been besties since I was like 3 and she was 5. I’m 22 now so I’ll let you do the math on that one.”
“Are you sure you don’t have anywhere to be tonight? I don’t want to keep you…”
“Trust me, there is nowhere else in the world I would rather be right now,” Jacob said softly into my hair. It was almost too intimate considering we had just met a few hours ago.
“There’s nowhere else you’d rather be than in a stranger's bus?” I joked to lighten the mood a bit. “You seem extremely easy to kidnap, Jacob. You should make better life choices.”
Jacob laughed deeply, “Hey, wait now, you invited a stranger into your home and are cuddling him as we speak. I think YOU need to make better life choices. I could be a serial killer or something.”
I looked Jacob in the eye and then leaned in to kiss him. I lifted my face to him and Jacob cradled my cheeks in his big, warm hands, leaning forward into me. His tongue entered my mouth and explored its every surface before taking my bottom lip between his teeth, biting it softly. A hungry growl rumbled from within him as he wrapped his hands into my hair and strongly held me tightly to him. His hips moved under me, as he adjusted himself as to not poke me with his quickly growing boner.
I pulled back and smiled at him mischievously, panting to regain my breath, “Okay, now I have some of your DNA in case someone uncovers my body tomorrow.”

Jacob’s POV
The wolf within me was going feral. Everything about Jade was driving me wild. Her smell, her humor, her smile, her taste… It was taking everything within me to keep calm. I had literally just met Jade today, as much as I and my wolf wanted to…claiming my mate at this moment was likely not a great idea.
I held Jade to my chest, keeping my fist in her hair as I took a few deep, calming breaths, urging the wolf to calm down and the stiffness in his pants to soften. “You’re a sneaky one, I like that.”
“I’m so full of surprises, Jacob. And so are you, I feel like.” She freed herself from my arms and reached onto a shelf, pulling out a deck of cards. “Can I do something and risk scaring you off?” she asked. She sat at her small dining room table and began shuffling her cards, muttering to herself as she did. I joined her sitting next to her and I watched her pull a single card from the deck and place it on the table.
The card read “The moon” and had a roman numeral 18 on the top. The card showed a grey wolf howling up at the full moon.
“Interesting,” She closed her eyes and sat in silence for several moments before she finally looked up at me, “The moon care is representative of a lot of things. Can be fears, hidden truths, living in illusion, etcetera…but I’m so interested in the symbolism here. The full moon, when we are currently under the full moon…and the wolf…like the legend you told me.”
I stared at her, unsure of what to say. There’s no way she knows I’m a wolf based on the story and some cards…right?
She stared back with curious, knowing eyes. “Forks is full of secrets, I can tell. And I’m very good at uncovering secrets,” she said intensely. “It’s like, my main hobby.” She said, returning to her light, jokey nature. “Do you want to ask the cards a question?” She asked, putting the card back into the deck and shuffling it again.
I breathed a silent sigh of relief at the change of subject. “So, what? You can tell the future with these things?”
“Sometimes the future, sometimes a glance into the past or answers to general questions. Sometimes I can even channel spirits through the cards,” Jade answered matter of factly.
Okay, I’ll play along. “Can you ask about you and me?”
“You and me?” She asked, raising a playful eyebrow at me. “What exactly do you want to know?”
“Hm, I don't know. Can you glance into our future together?” I asked, cocking my head to the side and smiling at her.
“That is extremely forward of you, but I fucks with it.” Jade knocked on the cards and shuffled until three cards fell out of her hand. The wheel of fortune, the three of cups and the lovers. “Damn,” she breathed. “Jacob, good news. You were very lucky to have met me.” She said tapping the wheel of fortune card. “And it looks like we are going to be very happy together.”
“Looks like your arrival in Forks was fated,” I said, reaching a hand across the table. I don't typically believe in this type of stuff, but considering the fact that I imprinted on this complete stranger…the cards seemed to check out.
Jade took my hand and laced her fingers through mine, “I would have to agree with you.” She stood up and dropped the rest of the cards on the table, pulling me back through the bus and onto the bed. She sat me down and straddled me, immediately pushing her lips back against mine.
“Fuck,” I gasped as she began kissing down my neck. She pulled my hair tie out of my head and my hair fell around my shoulders. She locked her fingers in it, pulling my head back and kissed up my jaw before licking around and inside my ear, sending shivers down my entire body.
The wolf was riled up again and was beginning to take over, and I grabbed Jade around her waist and locked her against me, pressing her down on my lap, no longer caring if she felt my dick pressing against her.
“You’re a wolf right?” She whispered between kisses. I growled and ignored her question, mashing my lips against hers to silence her, but she pulled away. Her hips hungrily grinding up against me, “You don’t have to tell me, I already know.”
“Jade, shut up and kiss me,” I begged, my cock throbbing through my jeans.
She obeyed, slipping her tongue into my mouth, sliding it up and down my own. I began thrusting up against her open legs, the wolf pushing me to claim my mate.
As if reading my thoughts, she began slipping off her shorts, discarding them onto the floor of the bus. I gasped hungrily, gripping her bare ass, pressing her down onto me and grinding her hips. I slipped a finger behind her, feeling her slick wetness, exploring her warm folds. She whimpered against my touch but continued kissing me.
I flipped us, so she was laying properly on the bed and positioned myself above her, lifting up her shirt and kissing down body, starting from her breasts and down her belly until I met her pubic bone. I licked it gently, feeling her body shudder beneath my touch.
I lifted up her legs, her scent driving the wolf wild. I breathed in deeply before allowing my tongue to lick her clit. We both groaned and sighed as I took her into my mouth, her taste and smell intoxicating me. “Holy shit,” I moaned into her as my tongue lapped up her juices, swallowing every bit of her that entered my mouth. “You’re delicious.”
Jade grabbed my hair, bobbing my head and grinding her hips against my mouth, writing and cursing as she did. I sucked and slurped her clit and ran my tongue as deep into her hole as it could go until her grip tightened, “Jake,” she gasped desperately, before she shuddered against my face, a gush of her orgasm entering my mouth. I swallowed her gratefully and licked her clean before kissing up her thigh and positioning myself above her. I looked down at her dazed face, she was blissed out but she swallowed and nodded at me, unable to formulate words yet.
I gave her a moment to regain her composure, kissing her cheeks, lips and neck gently. After a few languid moments, she blinked and came back to. “Jacob, that was so good,” she laughed. “I literally saw stars there.” She reached between us, caressing my bulge and smiling seductively. “Your turn, babe,” Jade undid my pants and I helped her remove them before also taking off my shirt. Her hands ran over my chest and belly before gripping my cock and placing it at her entrance.
She stroked it, the tip rubbing against her dripping wet center and clit, her body jerking slightly when it did. She then moved her hips down and allowed me to enter her, my vision nearly going black immediately. I groaned and bit her on her shoulder and I tensed my entire body, commanding myself not to release into her. She wrapped her legs around my hips and the friction nearly made me lose it, but I managed to control my body. I released her skin from my teeth and began making out with her as I began moving my hips, pushing myself deeper into her. Her walls squeezed around me and she panted and gasped at my girth. I thrusted in and out of her slowly, savoring her flesh.
“Fuck me,” She whispered, tears forming at the corners of her eyes.
The wolf obeyed immediately, unable to resist its mate any longer. I picked up the speed of my thrusts, lifting myself up to watch her body writhe over me, her tits bouncing with the force of my slamming into her. She squealed and screamed in pleasure, her pussy clenching around me harder and harder until she finally released all over my cock and belly.
Fuck, she is delicious. I felt the need to release and I pulled out, resting my cock on her mound as I exploded all over her pubes and belly.
I groaned in relief and collapsed on top of Jade, wrapping my arms around her. She shifted her body so that I was spooning her and she nuzzled her chin into my arms, sighing contently. “Stay the night?” She breathed.
I nodded, the satisfied wolf and I already drifting off to sleep.

Jade’s POV
I woke with the sun as I usually did. Jacob’s arms were still wrapped around me and I laid there for several minutes, enjoying whatever this was. Maybe the beginning of something more, or maybe the end of a one night engagement. I don’t dwell much on these things, but preferred practicing gratitude for the present.
I peeled myself out of Jacob’s arms, his peaceful snoring continuing. I kissed his cheek and admired his beauty. He looked so beautiful and serene in his sleep and I smiled. I pulled on a bikini and an oversized tshirt, fully planning to enjoy the summer morning outdoors. Before heading out, though,I tidied my mess from the night before.
The sun was shining brightly, but the temperature was nothing like the swampy summers I grew up with. The weather was much more temperate and comfortable, rather than wet and overbearing. Thank you for the beautiful weather, I whispered to the universe before finding a spot near the waves and sitting down to meditate. I listened to the waves and used the feeling of the sand to ground me as I meditated on where I was now.
After an undeterminable amount of time I hear footsteps behind me and legs cradle behind me before arms wrapped around me from behind. Kisses dotted my neck and side of my head. I smiled and turned my head, my eyes still closed, to receive kisses on my lips.
“Good morning, beautiful,” Jacob crooned.
I continued my meditation, feeling Jacob’s heat, breaths, and heartbeat ringing throughout my body. His energy is so beautiful, I thought to myself as I basked in it.
“You hungry?” I asked finally, turning my body to face him.
“Literally, always,” he laughed before leaning in to kiss me again. “I’m hungry for you more than anything else though.”
“Cheeky boy,” I jokingly chided, very much enjoying his openness and honesty about his attraction towards me. I stood up and walked back towards the bus, nodding my head for him to follow me. He eagerly stood up, and ran after me, his long legs making the trip short. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into the bus, the door barely shutting behind us before he was pressed against me, his lips feverishly covering me in kisses and his hands fondling every inch of me that he could reach.
We collapsed into the bed, exploring each other with our hands, tongues, and lips. I flipped so that I was facing Jacob’s feet and leaned over, grazing his bulge with my teeth through his pants. I unbuttoned them and his erection sprang free. I immediately took it into my mouth, tasting his skin and precum. I took it as deeply in my throat as I could without gagging, running my tongue over the sides. Jacob hummed in pleasure and hugged my ass, pulling my bikini string to expose me. He planted his face into my ass, eagerly lapping up my moistness. I continued deep throating him, the feeling of him in my throat becoming addicting. He clutched me tighter and snatched me by my hair, forcing me off of him,”Fuck, Jade, you’re too good at that.”
I tried fighting him, wanting to feel him back in my throat but he held me tight. “Jake…” I complained but he laughed at me.
“Will you behave? You're like a wild animal.” He released me but quickly moved himself so that he was sitting up and he sat me over his erection. I happily sat on him, letting him slide into me. He groaned through gritted teeth as I took his entire length in me before he gripped my hips and began thrusting up into me.
I could feel him in my throat as he repeatedly hit my g-spot. “Don’t stop,” I begged and slid my hand between my legs to rub my throbbing clit. I brought myself closer and closer to orgasm and before I went over the edge, Jacob lifted me up and flipped me around, my body weight clearly not hindering him. He sat me on his face and plunged his tongue deep into my hole and moved my hips over him, forcing me to grind out my orgasm into his mouth. I shook and whimpered over him and when I finished he moved me back down onto his cock, feverishly pounding me without a break.
Jacob watched me, his eyes never breaking contact from my face. He was fully enjoying the show and he smiled as he could see my face flush as he pushed me back over the edge. This time, he lifted my hips, allowing my squirt to shower his belly, chest and face. “Yes,baby,i fucking love that.” He forced my hips back up to his face so that he couldlick and suck me once more.
“You really seem to be enjoying eating me,” I commented breathlessly.
“I don’t think I can think of a taste I enjoy more than the taste of you,” he managed between licks. “I’m fucking addicted to you.” He pushed me back down onto his dick, his hands running up to grip my breasts, and he pulled open my bikini top. He rolled my nipples between his fingers and his thrusts became uneven. I pulled myself off of him and forced him down my throat. His cock pulsated in my throat as he fed me, and I swallowed it all, returning the favor.
Jacob pulled me up to kiss me, our tongues exchanging the flavors of our cum until they were indistinguishable from one another. “I need you,” Jacob breathed, the weight of the statement lightened by his earnestment.
“You already have me,” I responded, unafraid to wear my feelings on my sleeve. It was true. This stranger under me has somehow managed to steal my heart and made me feel claimed. Desired. Needed. And she needed him just the same.
We kissed again. All the uncertainty of their future could be explored later, but as I laid on Jacob’s chest, listening to his heart, I felt content.

Bella’s POV
What the hell Jake?
Bella had called Jacob like ten times since last night and he was MIA. Anxiety continued to build in her chest as she asked Charlie to drive her over to Billie’s house before he went to the station.
“Morning chief, morning Bella,” Billie greeted the pair with a smile. “How are ya?”
“Good, Billie, have you seen Jake?” Bella asked hurriedly.
“No, actually, Jake never made it in last night. The boys came by and they all left together yesterday afternoon,” Billie answered.
“They are young men now, I remember those days,” Charlie laughed.
I was unamused, “Can you call Quill? It’s very unlike him to not answer my calls.”
Billie did not seem worried, but obliged in calling Quill’s home. “Hello, Quill, sorry to bother you so early in the morning. Bella Swan and the Chief are here and they’re wondering if you know my son’s whereabouts.” He paused as he listened to the response, and I could hear Quill’s howling laughter. “Okay, thank you son.” He hung up the phone with an amused look. “Well, looks like our boy had a date on the beach that hasn’t ended yet.”
Annoyance and anger replaced my worry, “Jake stayed out on the beach all night?”
“Yup, with a ‘weird goth girl’ as Quill so eloquently put it,” my dad and Charlie laughed but I stormed out of the Black house and into the garage to locate my keys. I hopped into my truck and began heading to La Push.
“Bella, don’t bother the boy!” Charlie called after me, but I ignored him.
I pulled up to the nearly empty beach and parked next to a bus. I could see Jake through the window. He was shirtless, smiling about something. I hopped out of the truck, “Jacob Ephriam Black!” I shouted. Jacob’s head whipped to look at me and he gave a confused smile.
“Bella?” He ducked out of sight for a moment, probably to find his clothes and met me outside of the bus. He tried to hug me when he saw me, but I put my hand between us.
“Jake, I have been trying to call you all morning. I even went to your house to find you, only to find out you disappeared all night?” I accosted him, admittedly uncharacteristic of me.
“Bella, calm down. You’re kind of over reacting, here,” Jake requested gently. “I’m clearly okay.”
“You can’t just fuck off all night with some stranger,” I reprimanded him just as the stranger in question emerged from the bus, only wearing a bikini and tshirt. This only enraged me more and I tore my eyes away from her almost naked body to tear into Jacob some more. “You at least need to tell someone where you are. I see now what you were so busy with last night.”
Jacob finally lost his cool and he wrapped his arm around the strange girl. “Bella, meet Jade, Jade, meet Bella. She’s not usually this much of a…”
“Of a what,” I demanded.
“This much of a crazy person,” he finished.
“Ah, Bella swan emoji, black heart emoji…” the girl said with a smile.
“Bella, I’m clearly fine and I’m a grown man. I don’t need to check in with you or anybody else when I’m out.”
I huffed, because he was clearly right and I knew I was over reacting, but I couldn’t stop myself. “Thanks for fixing the car,” I said pointedly and I reached into my pocket to get his payment.”
“Oh, my wolf boy fixes cars?” the girl cooed flirtatiously. “That’s gonna come in handy.”
I nearly broke my neck with how quickly I turned to look at the two of them, and it was already on Jake’s face. “No, you didn’t jake…” My eyes widened in horror as I couldn’t believe that he would tell a total stranger about the wolves.
“Bella, calm down…” Jake warned.
“No, Jake, you calm the fuck down. You get your dick wet one time and you’re betraying your tribe’s secrets?” I threw the cash into his hands and hopped into my truck. I picked up my cellphone and immediately called Sam to tell him about Jacob and the girl. I watched Jake in my rear view as I drove away and he had his face in his hands.

Jacob’s POV
“Bella, what the fuck was that?” I sighed into my hands as she drove off.
“That Bella girl has some whack ass energy,” Jade commented as she headed back towards the bus.
“Not usually,” I half heartedly defended her. “Today, for sure.”
I have to get out in front of this. There’s no way that Bella isn't going to get me in trouble with the rest of the pack. I sighed and quickly decided how I was going to handle this. I kissed Jade on the lips and then her cheek.
“I have to go.” I ran off towards the woods and phased when I was deep enough to not be seen. As I began running towards Paul’s house, I could already hear the thoughts of the pack. They were already heading towards the beach.
Fuck!
I hurried to try to intercept the pack.
Jacob, you dumbass. Leah thought.
Your’re dead. Sam thought.
Guy’s calm down, begged Seth.
Sorry excuse of a baby alpha laughed Quill.
It probably isn’t what we think, guys.
Stop, Let’s talk, Jacob urged as he found his pack in the forest. Jacob phased back and the rest of the pack followed suit.
“Start talking,” Paul demanded.
“Listen, Bella was pissed this morning and doesn’t know what she’s talking about," I said.
“So this girl doesn’t know our secret?” Sam asked skeptically.
“She thinks she knows, but I didn’t tell her anything,” I said but the rest of the pack ignored me and continued walking towards the beach in their human forms. Quill, Embry, and Seth looked at me apologetically as they followed Sam, Paul and Leah to the beach. I followed behind them and we found Jade on the beach sunbathing.
She sensed us walking towards her and she sat up, smiling and waving at the pack. “Ah, you must be the wolves!” She said brightly. I cringed as she stood up and came to meet the pack half way.
“You need to leave.” Snarled Sam.
“What…why?” Jade asked with a sad look.
“We don’t welcome strangers,” Leah spat.
“Especially ones that know our secrets. We don’t know who you are, and now you pose a threat to our safety," Paul added.
“I’m a threat? Why, because I know you’re wolves?” Jade asked so sadly. “I would never do anything to put you all at risk.”
I stood between the pack and Jade, “Listen to me, she really isn’t a threat.”
“Stand down, Jacob, you’re dead meat. I can’t believe you slipped like that for a woman you just met.” Sam sneered.
“What? Jake didn’t tell me anything,” Jade laughed. “You all just told me just now. Look at how you all responded and all I did was call Jacob “wolf boy” in front of Bella.” She laughed even harder. “I knew it!”
The pack glared at Jade in confusion, but Quill, Embry and Seth began sniggering along with her.
“Jacob would never spill your secrets, but I figured it out,” Jade continued.
“Damn, she played us,” Embry laughed and the tension mostly eased.
“I kinda did, I mean, I figured it out with my tarot cards and intuition, but this reaction solidified it for me.” Jade snorted with laughter but she smiled at me, “I have become smitten with Jacob here and I would never do anything to put him or the rest of you at risk.”
“I’m quite taken with her as well,” I said, looking at Sam with serious eyes. He gave me a knowing look and nodded.
“Very well, you can stay…but no more games,” Sam warned before turning to walk away.
“Wait,” Jade called, “A secret for a secret?”
Chapter Text
Jade’s POV
I sat the wolves around the unlit fire and sat in front of the firewood. I pointed my finger at the wood and a flame shot from it, igniting the firewood. I closed my eyes and raised my hands to the flames, focussing on synching my energy with the energy from the flames.
When I felt completely synched, I pushed the energy out of my palms and urged the flames upwards of 6 feet. The wolves gasped behind me, and I urged the flames higher and higher.
“What exactly are you proving here? That you can start a forest fire?” Leah barked.
I sighed, standing up and moving my hands together, forcing the flame down to a foot all at once. The wolves gasped again at the display and I reached a hand into the flame, grabbing a ball into the palm of my hands. “I’m proving to you my proficiency with manipulating the elements.” I replied to Leah as I offered her the flame. She tentatively reached out to take it but promptly burned her hand with the heat.
“I’m a witch,” I explained to the group.
Paul laughed, “There’s no such thing as witches.”
“There’s no such thing as werewolves,” I challenged. “You can’t possibly believe that you’re the only type of mythical creatures walking around.” The wolves all exchanged looks with each other but finally nodded.
I sat down with Jacob who wrapped his arm around me protectively, “Are we done here?” He asked.
“For now,” Sam said and stood up to leave. Leah and Paul followed, but the rest stayed.
Seth hurried to sit next to me, “That was so cool, Jade! I knew you were weird, but this explains it. A witch in Forks, wow!”
Quill smiled at me, “My bad man, I didn’t know Bella was gonna freak out and snitch on your ass.”
“Yeah, that was…intense,” Embry said, shaking his head.
“I don’t know what got into her,” Jacob said.
“Well, she’s so used to you being her lap dog, she’s not used to you with googoo eyes for another girl,” Embry suggested.
“Oh?” I chimed in curiously. ”That would explain a lot.”
“I wasn’t her lap dog, asshole,” Jacob elbowed his friend and they began to wrestle in the sand. I wasn’t sure if I believed that Jacob was not Bella’s lapdog, but decided it didn’t matter. As long as he was mine now.
“Sorry I got you in trouble,” I apologized when Jacob found his way back to me. He kissed my neck in response.
“You warned me that you would uncover my secrets,”He laughed. “Nah, It’s all good. There’s only so much trouble I can really be in with the pack.”
“Oh, why’s that?” I inquired.
“Because your boyfriend is the rightful alfa of the pack!” Seth offered.
I looked at Jacob in surprise and he sighed and nodded his head, “Birth rights and all.”
Jacob looked a tad uncomfortable with the conversation so I dropped it. “We still haven’t had breakfast, babe. Want to take me into town and show me where to get some good food?” I asked the group of boys.
“Yeah, babe, breakfasts on you,” Quill said to Jacob whilst batting his eyelashes.
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
I drove everyone into town in the Rabbit. Jade sat next to me and Seth took the window seat while Quill and Embry sat in the back. We listened to 90s rock on the way, going back and forth between giving a small tour of town and singing the songs on the radio. I noticed how beautiful Jade’s voice was as she sang along to Alice in Chains. I placed my hand on her thigh and squeezed it affectionately.
I pulled into the diner’s parking lot and we poured out of the truck, the boys excitedly telling Jade about their favorites on the menu. We sat at a family sized table and once seated began mulling over the menu. The waitress brought over a water jug for us to start and took our orders. Once our burgers, steaks and Jade’s pancake meal were on the way, I took her hand, kissing the back of it.
“So what’s going on here?” Quill asked with a sly smile. “You all met last night and now you’re all kissy-kissy.”
Seth and Embry laughed and watched on, enjoying the show. The boys had no idea that I had imprinted on Jade yet, and I wasn't about to tell them at the table. Luckily Jade spoke up, “Well sometimes people just click that way.”
“Is it love at first sight?” Embry asked in feigned innocence.
“I would say so,” I answered, but turned to Jade, “what do you think? Are you in love with me?”
“Anyone would fall in love with you Jacob, it’s too easy,” she answered and my heart melted.
“Damn, the sex is that good, huh?” Quill said snorting with laughter.
I punched him in the arm, but he and everyone else at the table was howling with laughter. “You have no idea,” Jade said, kissing my cheek.
The food arrived and we dug in. The wolves have huge appetites and it showed, the mountain of food quickly disappearing. Jade ate much slower, even offering me bites of her egg and pancakes. She watched the rest of us chowing down and smiled lovingly, “I love watching you boys eat.”
“These dogs don’t have any manners,” I joked, but Jade shook her head.
“No, I just love seeing y’all nourishing your bodies and enjoying what you have in front of you. It’s great vibes.”
“Your girlfriend is so weird, Jake,” Seth laughed through a mouth full of food.
Jade elbowed him playfully and kissed him on the cheek, “you’re absolutely precious.”
Seth blushed and continued eating.
From the corner of my eyes I saw Chief Swan walking into the diner. He noticed us immediately and made his way over, an apologetic look in his eye. “Hey guys,” He said and waved to Jade, “hello.” He cleared his throat, “Uh, sorry about Bella, I have no idea what got into her this morning.”
Quill stifled his laughter and I waved away his concerns, “It’s not your fault chief, I’m not sure why Bella went full psycho on me though. She pulled up to the beach and started screaming at me.”
Charlie laughed and shook his head, “She’s just not used to having to share your affection, I guess.” He turned his attention to Jade and reached out his hand, “And you must be the one who got Jacob in trouble with my daughter.”
Jade shook his hand and smiled charmingly, “I’m gonna get a reputation around here, I fear. I’m typically not any trouble at all. I’m Jade, nice to meet you.”
“It’s nice to meet you, miss. Good to see Jake getting out there a bit.” Charlie cleared his throat, not really the one for socializing and meeting new people, “alright guys, I’m going to get lunch, see you around.” Charlie began walking away but turned around to give me an approving wink and nod. I grinned at him before putting my arm around Jade and kissing her on the cheek.

Chapter Text
Bella’s POV
Who the hell does that girl think she is?
I was fuming on the entire ride to the Cullen's house. I whipped into the parking space and Edward was already in the yard, concern on his face.
“Bella, what’s wrong?” He asked as Alice ran out to kiss me on the cheek.
“I saw you coming,” she said. “Angry about the pup's new girlfriend?”
I huffed at her, “She isn’t Jake’s girlfriend, they only met yesterday.”
I walked into Edward’s arms and kissed him on the lips, his icy lips raising the hairs on the back of my neck. “So what’s the problem?” Edward asked, clearly confused.
“Nothing. Jacob can do what he wants, but this girl just comes to Forks and is having sleepovers with Jacob and she already knows about the wolves. It’s suspicious and I don’t trust this girl.”
Edward and Alice glanced at each other and then back at me. “You think this girl is dangerous? She’s not one of us obviously, and she isn’t a wolf herself…”
“I can’t see her,” Alice chimed in. “Probably because she’s with the wolves.”
We started walking into the house and the rest of the Cullen’s were awaiting me in the foyer. “Jacob is smart, I very much doubt he would just tell a strange girl their secret, there must be more to the story,” Carlisle offered.
I scoffed, "Apparently not that smart…”
“Have you tried talking to him about it?” Rosalie asked, rolling her eyes about the drama.
“Well if she’s as dangerous as Bella suggests, let’s invite her over and feel her out. If there’s a threat in Forks then we can handle it, we always do,” Emmet said, punching his fist with a smirk.
“Maybe she has the protection of the wolves,” Jasper suggested.
“We won’t know until she’s in front of us,” Alice said. “Edward will read her mind and hopefully I can peek into her future a bit.”
I nodded, “I’ll call her and Jake over.” I picked up my phone. Jake picked up after the third ring.
“Yeah?” he asked cautiously.
“Hey Jake, you busy?” I asked, painfully aware of the ice in my voice.
“Maybe… you done being insane?”
“I’m not the insane one, Jacob.” I heard the girl’s laughter in the background and Quill’s familiar boisterous voice. “What are you doing?”
“We are at the diner, getting some brunch. What is your problem, Bella? You’re acting so strange.”
“I’m fine, just… bring her to meet the Cullen’s. I don’t trust her, Jake. I want them to check her out.”
Jake was silent for a few moments before he replied, “You have absolutely no reason not to trust her. You don’t know her.”
“Neither do you,” I spat back. “Jake, for my peace of mind, please.”
Another few beats of silence. “I’ll ask her if she wants to go over. Knowing her, she’ll be excited.” He chuckled and I could hear the smile in his voice. “I’ll talk to you later, Bells.”
The call disconnected.
Jade’s POV
After brunch, Jacob paid for all of our food and we began heading to the car. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and waved goodbye to the officer I met earlier. When we were out of the door he leaned in to whisper in my ear, “Wanna take a field trip to meet some more weirdos?”
I smiled, excitement filling my stomach. “More secrets for me to uncover?”
“Yup,” He smiled and rolled his eyes. “Bella is convinced that you have some ulterior motives and wants her family to check you out. You down?”
I hopped excitedly, “Oh, hell yeah!”
Jake turned to the boys who were trailing behind us, “Yo, can you get yourselves home? We are gonna drop by and see our friends the Cullens.” The boys all laughed and hooted.
“You’re in for it, Jacob. Bella got the whole family involved,” Quill laughed.
“Can I come?” Seth asked, his big baby eyes looking up at Jacob.
“Next time,” Jacob promised, rustling his hair. “I’ll call you later, okay?”
Seth nodded and the boys turned towards the woods behind the diner. Jacob opened my door for me and I slid in. He got into his side and he drew me in for a long, deep kiss.”Let’s go meet some freaks.”
“Says the freak to the freak,” I laughed.
“This town is full of hypocrites.”
We drove into the woods, an unclear, winding path leading us to a clearing with a beautiful house with huge open windows.
“This isn’t the kind of house I expected to find in the woods,” I commented as we parked.
We got out of the truck and began walking towards the home, Jacob not bothering to knock on the door as he entered. “We’re here,” He muttered, to who, I don’t know.
Seven strangers and the girl I met earlier were sprawled around the living room, staring at me intensely. They were all beautiful, pale white with intense golden eyes. They did not quite look like they were related, aside from their skin and eye color, all with different facial features and bodily builds. They were eerily still and looked like they weren’t even breathing. My entire body tingled with the electricity of their odd energy.
“Hi,” I said quietly, not quite sure of what to make of the strangers before me.
“Hello, so nice to meet you,” one of the men said, stepping forward. He had the energy of a patriarch, despite them all looking to be around the same age. He reached out and shook my hand, his skin feeling like he had been soaking in ice water.
“You’re so cold,” I commented with surprise.
He laughed, his kind eyes forming a happy crescent shape, his perfect teeth exposed, ”A doctors hands are permanently frozen. Occupational hazard.”
I wasn’t buying it, but I smiled politely. “Uh, huh.”
“I’m Carlisle Cullen, and this is my family. My wife, Esmee and my children; Emmet, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, Edward and his girlfriend, Bella, who I am told that you met earlier.”
“Hi, everyone, lovely to meet you,” I said waving at everyone. They all muttered their hello’s except for Bella who had her arms crossed as she glared at me.
“I already told her that we are here so you guys can size her up,” Jacob said, finding a seat by the couch and patting the space next to him for me to follow.
Carlisle laughed again, “Well that is partially true. We also just want to welcome the newcomer that has so easily found her way into the hearts of the Quilliette tribe.”
I felt slightly uneasy as I could feel everyone's curious and suspicious eyes on me as they tried to uncover my secrets, just as I was gathering information to uncover theirs. “Is she as scary as you had imagined?” Jacob laughed.
“No, but she’s much prettier than I thought you would be able to bag,” Rosalie said, a sly smile playing on her face.
Okay, so he has some kind of familiar relationship with these people, I noted.
“She’s so pretty,” Alice said, skipping over to sit on the other side of me. She put her fingers in my hair and peered at me curiously. I could feel the iciness radiating off of her hands.
Oh I see…
“You’re the cold ones,” I said, piecing the rest of the story together. “You’re the shapeshifters and the cold ones…” The family exchanged looks, but Carlisle maintained his kind smile.
“You have such an active imagination,” He chuckled and I rolled my eyes at his attempts at gaslighting.
Jacob laughed and laced his fingers through mine, “Guys, give it up. She’s not gonna fall for these charades.”
Bella finally stood up, throwing her arms up in exasperation, ”See, he already told her everything.”
“Bella, chill out, I haven’t told her anything except for the same legends that I told you. You weren’t able to figure shit out, but Jade has. You have to know that I would never expose my family's secrets or yours.”
“So how is this possible?” Edward asked cautiously. “I can’t read her…”
“I can’t either,” Alice said, standing up and going back over to Jasper. “I can read Bella, but not you.”
“Read?” I asked, amused at the spectacle.
“Yes, read. Some of us “cold ones” have abilities. Edward can read minds and Alice can see the future,” Carlisle explained. “So curious.”
I chuckled, “Yeah, probably because I protect myself daily.”
“What does that mean?” Edward asked.
“It’s part of my daily practice to cleanse and protect myself from negative energy and psychic interference. I’m sure you could read me if I allowed you to.”
Bella scoffed and sat back down, crossing her arms again, “She’s so full of bullshit. She clearly came here to find us.”
“Find you?” I asked and laughed, “I don’t even know you. I’m glad I did come here though,” I said, smiling at Jacob who gave me a swift kiss on the cheek.
“Would you mind demonstrating this, uh, gift of yours?” Carlisle asked calmly.
I hummed apprehensively. Letting down my protections for total strangers is something I would not do normally, but to prove my innocence, I agreed. I closed my eyes and visualized the golden light I used to shield myself slowly lowering down my body until it was completely gone.
“I can hear,” Edward said quietly, and Alice nodded in agreement. “She seems genuine, Bella. She doesn’t know anything past what we have told her ourselves.” Edward placed his hand on Bella’s shoulder, “She said that your reaction this morning is what made her realize the truth about the wolves. She’s saying she’s a witch,” He told the rest of his family. “Which is why she was called to Forks.”
“A witch?” Emmet asked with a grin, “Wicked! Can I take a ride on your broomstick?” He asked, laughing.
“Do you trust her?” Carlisle asked Edward, who nodded once. “Okay, then. Glad that’s cleared up. Sorry for the confusion,” He said genuinely.
“No worries,” I said, immediately surrounding myself with light again.
“You have a beautiful future ahead of you,” Alice said with a tinkling laugh.
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
We hung out with the Cullen’s for a few hours, the vampires becoming more comfortable with Jade as time progressed. Emmet sat next to me and clapped me on the back, “Jacob, my man! You bagged a baddie!”
Rosalie rolled her eyes, “Stop using the words you hear the kids saying,” she chastised as she tried hiding her smile.
“Are you really a witch?” Emmet asked.
Jade nodded, “I am really a witch, but it’s not like people assume. We are just humans with a proclivity for the magic that naturally exists in the world. Some of us also have special abilities, like clairvoyance or sensitivities to spirits. I can manipulate the elements pretty well and my intuition is very strong. I absorb information very easily and I’ve learned to trust myself over time.”
“We know a vampire that can manipulate the elements,” Esme offered.
“I’m willing to bet that some vampires with those types of abilities were witches in their lives, whether they realized it or not.” Jade said. “Do you feel like you could have been a witch?” She asked Alice.
“It’s impossible to say, I don’t remember my human life…but I suppose it isn't out of the realm of possibility.”
Bella and Edward disappeared at some point, Bella’s annoyance never dissipating. I made a mental note to check in on her for a one on one talk sometime soon.
Jade prattled away, asking her questions about the vampires and the history between our families, soaking up everything with pure enthusiasm.
“So you can smell everyone's blood all the time?” Jade asked curiously.
“Yeah, your blood, skin, hair, everything,” Jasper explained.
“Do I smell like a normal human to you?”
“Yes…and no,” Alice started, “You smell like human-plus. Like, if a normal human smells like lemon, you smell like lemon and mint. Maybe it's your magic.”
“Wow, I wonder if I taste different too.”
“Why, you offering a sample?” Emmet joked.
“If I trusted you not to slaughter me then I would happily give you all a taste,” Jade said genuinely.
“God, you’re a fucking freak. I love it,” Emmet howled with laughter.
“Damn you’d give them your blood? I don’t feel special anymore,” I pouted playfully.
“Jacob, I would give you my bones. All you need to do is ask.” This made my breath hitch and my heart skip several beats.
“Jacob would give you his bone too, don’t you worry.” Emmet smiled so mischievously and winked at Jade.
“What does Jacob smell like to you guys?” Jade asked between a fit of giggles.
“Like wet fucking dog,” Rosalie said, wrinkling her nose dramatically.
I drove Jade back to the rez, parking next to the bus. Jade promptly crawled onto my lap, straddling me and lavishing my face in kisses. I caught her by the hair and placed her mouth on mine, hungrily drinking in her lips and tongue.
“Spending the night again?” Jade asked, pulling away from me.
“I want to, but I should go check on my dad. At least fill him in on everything,” I said and Jade nodded sadly. “I’ll call you though, and maybe I can come back later tonight.”
“You don’t even have my phone number,” Jade said, pouting just a little. I promptly pulled my phone out of my pocket and handed it to her. She typed in her number and handed it back to me. She saved her name as “Jade LeBlanc" with a green heart and worm emoji.
“Your last name is LeBlanc?” I asked as I put my phone in my pocket.
She nodded, “Jade Rosemary LeBlanc.”
“Your name is so beautiful, almost as beautiful as you,” I said, kissing the tip of her nose. “Talk later?” She nodded again before exiting the truck.
“I’m gonna miss you, Jacob Black.”
“You won’t have too much time to miss me, I’ll see you soon.” I wanted to say “I Love You” at the end of it but kept it in my throat. “Bye, babe.”
I pulled off and headed home.
Dad was on the phone when I got into the house, “Oh and here’s the man of the hour now.” He laughed and I immediately knew he was gossiping with Charlie. “The chief told me he met your new beau at the cafe today. Said she’s a real looker, too.”
“Well he’s not wrong,” I said. I grabbed a couple beers from the fridge and opened them both, handing one to my dad before taking a sip from my own bottle.
“Alright Charlie, I’ll talk to you later.” Dad hung up the land line before rolling over to sit at the dinner table with me. “Have a fun few days, did you?”
I took another long sip from the bottle before looking my dad in the eye, “Dad, I imprinted.”
Dad looked shocked and then nodded understandingly, “How you feeling, son?”
“Really good, and really scared,” I said honestly. “I thought I could feel this way….love someone so radically and completely all at once. She doesn’t know yet. I don’t want to scare her.”
“Well you see how the others felt when they imprinted,” Dad said, referencing the pack telepathy. I had indeed seen how borderline obsessive the others felt with their imprints but it was completely different experiencing it first hand. “Well, Charlie met her before I did… when are you gonna bring her over?”
“You don’t think that bringing her over here so soon is too much?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Son, she’s your imprint. I’m dying to meet this girl,” Dad laughed, “hell, move her in while we’re at it.”
I laughed too, “Well she lives on a bus,she might really appreciate staying in the house sometimes.”
“Invite her over, she’s my future daughter-in-law. This is her home too.” Dad polished off his beer and rolled towards his room, “Alright son, gonna hit the hay. Good night.”
“Night, Dad.” I waited for his bedroom door to shut and then pulled out my phone to call Jade to invite her over, but it went to voice mail. I headed up to my bedroom to tidy it up in case she called back and agreed to sleep over, but the call didn’t come. I figured she was already asleep or meditating or something, so i laid in bed and drifted off to sleep.

Jade’s POV
I was laying in bed, an incense stick burning on my head board and soft music playing when I heard a knock on the door. I hopped up, expecting to see Jacob at the door, but it was Seth. His eyes were swollen as if he had been crying, but he was smiling.
“Seth, are you okay?” I asked, stepping aside to let the young boy inside. I hugged him to me and rubbed his back.
“Yeah, I’m totally fine. Just got into it with my mom, and I was hoping I could hang out with you for a bit.” I pulled back and looked into his sad eyes, “really, I’m okay.”
“My love, you are always welcomed here and you can stay as long as you need to.” I gestured to the table and he sat down. I went to the back of the bus as I rummaged around for my hammock and hung it on the hooks I set up on the opposite sides of the bus. “Come here, love, and get comfortable.
Seth took off his shoes and climbed into the hammock gratefully. I handed him my throw blanket and he wrapped himself in it like an adorable baby. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
“What’s going on, Seth?” I finally asked.
Seth kept his eyes shut but shrugged his shoulders, “My mom drinks too much and gets crazy sometimes. Today I found her passed out in the living room. I thought she was dead but when I tried waking her up, she hit me. We started arguing and she kicked me out."
“Seth, that’s heavy…”
He shrugged again, “That’s just my life.”
I looked at Seth’s sweet angel face and felt sadness overwhelm me. He was the sweetest boy I had ever met, and so so charming. I would never have guessed that he was dealing with so much bullshit at home. “Get some sleep. You can crash here any time you want.” I kissed his forehead and climbed back into my own bed. ”I’ll be your mom anytime you need me to be.”
“I’m really glad you came to Forks,” Seth breathed.
“Me too, my love.”
We drifted off to the smell of incense and the sound of the rain that began to fall.
Seth woke up to the smell of cinnamon cookies I was baking in my minioven. “Wow, I haven’t woken up to the smell of cookies since I was like eight years old. We used to bake them every Christmas morning.”
“You didn’t bake them for Santa?” I asked with a smile.
“We were too poor for Santa, but the food bank often had cookie dough around the holidays.” Seth sat up and stretched his arms. “What’s the special occasion?”
I tossed him a cookie that had already cooled some. “Well, I figured this would help me smooth things over with Sam and the rest of the pack. Wanna take me over to their place?”
I drizzled honey onto the cookies and a pinch of sea salt before Seth walked me over to Sam’s. I rang the doorbell and a beautiful woman opened the door with a smile.
“Oh, I finally get to meet the infamous witch of Forks,” She smiled brilliantly and Seth immediately kissed her on the cheek.
“Hi, Emily,” Seth said before entering the house.
She opened the door wider for me to enter. “My reputation precedes me, yet again.” My annoyance was slight, but I was getting tired of being known by others before I knew them.
“Just a little,” Emily laughed. “Forks is really small and the Rez is even smaller. Gossip travels fast.”
“Fair enough,” I said with a kind smile. “Nice to meet you, I’m Jade.”
“Emily,” she said, hugging me. “Welcome to the pack.”
Sam came down the stairs, shirtless and toweling his wet hair. “Ah, you found your way to our home base,” he said matter of factly. “Use your magical intuition to find me?”
“I brought her,” Seth called happily from the kitchen where he was rummaging in the fridge. He grabbed some milk and grabbed cereal from the pantry, helping himself to a bowl.
I held the container of cookies out to him, “I brought a peace offering. I wasn’t trying to rustle any feathers with my arrival.”
He took the container and eyed the cookies suspiciously, “You hex these cookies?”
I shook my head, “No hexes, I swear. Maybe just an incantation or two. Cinnamon and salt for peace and clarity, and some honey to sweeten our relationship. Nothing crazy.” He opened the container and bit into a cookie, humming happily. “Just good intentions and love.”
“Babe, you gotta try this,” Sam said, holding the container out to Emily who took one. Her eyes lit up as she bit into the chewy cookie.
“Damn, you should help me cook for the boys sometime.Feeding a hungry pack is a full time job,” she giggled.
“Anytime, I love cooking. I only have a mini kitchen in my bus so anytime I get access to a full kitchen I take full advantage of it.” I felt my phone vibrate and knew immediately it would be Jacob. “Hey, babe,” I answered.
“Hey, where are you?” He asked, his voice laced with worry.
“I’m at Sam and Emily’s. Are you okay?” I asked, beginning to worry myself.
“What? Why are you over there? I was just by the bus and you weren’t there.”
“Yeah, I brought Sam some cookies.”
“Be there in a sec,” Jacob said and he hung up.
I looked over at Sam and Emily, “sorry, I don’t know what’s wrong with him. He sounds worried.”
“Jake is probably scared Sam is gonna bite your head off,” Seth laughed from the kitchen table.
Sam laughed too, “I probably would have under different circumstances.”
“Sam…” Emily warned.
“What circumstances? I’m literally just vibing,” I said.
“Well, can’t harm a packmate's imprint anyways. That would get nasty,” Sam said, shaking his head.
Emily and Seth’s jaws dropped and I glanced around in confusion. “Imprint?”
Sam looked back at me confused, “Don’t tell me, you don’t know what that is?” I shook my head just as Jacob burst through the door, looking as if just ran here from the beach. “That’s a conversation you should have with your man.”
“Sam…” Jacob growled, his deadly eyes locked on Sam.
“Sorry, Jake, I didn’t know.” Sam said, his palms up towards Jacob. “You have to tell her sometime anyhow.”
“Tell me what?” I asked but Jacob didn’t answer. He took me by the hand and pulled me out of the house. “Tell me what?” I asked again when we were outside of the house.
Jacob sighed deeply before turning to look at me. “There’s a lot you don’t know about the wolves…” he started. “We have different abilities, like pack telepathy, regeneration,” he sighed once more. “One thing about us wolves is that once we phase for the first time, we can imprint. When we see that one special person, it’s like the wolf inside of us lets us know that we've found our mate.”
We stared at each other for several moments before he continued. “The moment I saw you, I knew that you were mine. That I would love you and need you forever.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked, a million thoughts filling my mind.
“I was going to, when I was ready. When I felt like it wasn’t too soon or too intense. It’s a lot to hurl at a stranger, like ‘hi, I’m Jake, and you’re my soul mate. That’s crazy.” He looked at me, anxiety painting his expression. He was clearly expecting me to be freaked out.
“That would be crazy,” I agreed. “But what a hell of a pick-up line.” I laughed and Jacob physically relaxed. “So, what does that mean for us?”
“It can mean whatever you want it to mean. I’m always going to love you, protect you, be what you need me to be,” he explained.
I nodded, taking a moment to process it all. “I want you to be mine,” I finally said.
Jacob sighed gratefully, “I’m already yours.”
I closed the space between us and kissed him. “How do you feel about me then, really?”
“I love you,” Jacob admitted. I kissed him again. “Is that too much?” He asked.
“It’s perfect. I love you, too.” I said and he wrapped his arms around me, picking me up and swinging me in a circle. I squealed and wrapped my legs around his waist. He smiled widely and kissed me as we spun.
He set me down, “say it again,” he asked, sounding almost desperate.
“I love you Jacob Black.”

Jacob’s POV
By some miracle, Jade wasn’t put off by my confession. My heart fluttered with complete bliss and I had to fight everything in me to drag her back to the bus and make wild, passionate love to her.
I was acutely aware of the audience we had and turned around to see Sam, Emily and Seth watching us from the window. I shot them the middle finger as I kissed Jade again. I nodded back towards the house, and we walked in together with our fingers intertwined.
“See, it all worked out,” Sam said when we entered.
“No thanks to your big ass mouth,”Jacob said playfully. “How did you know I had imprinted?”
Sam looked at Emily lovingly, “I think I know a thing or two about imprinting.” Emily leaned over the couch and kissed him on the lips.
“So, every wolf imprints?” Jade asked.
Sam nodded, “When you meet the right person, it’s like everything just falls into place. There are no questions about it, just immediate, undying devotion.”
One by one, the rest of the pack filed into the house. Emily and Jade went into the kitchen to whip up some breakfast and the rest of us chatted about everything and nothing. Everyone was excited to hear that I had imprinted and Jade was part of the family. We all ate breakfast together and Seth and I washed the dishes together while the girls hung out with the pack. I glanced through the kitchen door and saw how easily Jade fit in, and smiled. Everything felt right.
Around midday, I walked Jade to my place. It felt vulnerable showing her where I grew up, where my mother died…but it felt like I was bringing her home. Dad welcomed us with huge smiles, hugging Jade and chatting with her happily. He asked Jade about her home, her travels and family. I learned that Jade had her parents and sister back in Louisiana and they ran a small museum teaching about the haunted and magical history of her home. She sat by his side as he pulled out the picture album and she eagerly learned about my mom and sisters. She even saw my baby pictures.
“Look at those cheeks,” She said, pinching my cheeks. “We would have the most adorable babies.”
“Well twins run in our family, so be careful,” Dad said.
The evening came and went, and we ordered pizza to share as we watched some random super hero movie. “This is your home now, too, Jade.” Dad said as Jade and I cleaned up dinner. “Stay whenever you want.”
“Thank you, Mr. Black,” Jade said politely.
“No, no, none of that. You can call me Billy or Dad.”
Jade looked at me and smiled, happy with the acceptance of my father. “Yes, Dad.”
We headed upstairs and I showed her my bedroom and she looked around at my childhood relics. Baseball trophies, books, my guitar…
“How are you feeling?” I asked her, guiding her over to my bed and sitting her on my lap.
“Happy,” she answered, nuzzling her face into my neck, kissing me softly. “And excited to shower in a real bathroom.”
I laughed and stood her up, “bathroom is the second door on the left. I’ll get you a towel.” I walked her into the hallway and gave her a fluffy towel from the linen closet. Jade took the towel in one hand and my hand with the other, pulling me into the bathroom with her.
I growled at her hungrily and shut the bathroom door behind me. I pressed her against the wall and began kissing her neck, unbuttoning her pants as I did. She moaned softly and reached her hands to unbutton mine, but I grabbed her wrist and lifted her arms above her head. I kissed her, sucking her bottom lip before pulling away to lift her shirt above her head. She was in her underwear and bra now and I stepped back to admire her beauty. Her delicious curves and supple skin.
She unclasped her bra and shimmied her panties off, allowing me to ogle her as long as I wanted. She was so stunning, I felt like I was getting drunk just from watching her. I reached behind me and turned on the water before I took off my own clothes. I stepped into the water, making sure the temperature was comfortable and Jade joined me, our bodies grazing each other in the tight quarters. I hugged her to me and kissed the top of her head, the warm water cascading off of us.
Jade lifted her face and I kissed her gently on the lips. “I love you,” I said.
“I love you,” she returned, and we kissed again.
I pulled away from her and reached for the body wash. I poured some into my hands and worked my hands over her body, lovingly lathering her skin. I rinsed her with the shower head before rinsing myself and beginning to wash myself. I felt her hands on my belly and chest as she joined me in soaping up my body. She slid her hands down and gripped my penis, massaging it slowly. It hardened in her hands and she smirked up at me.
I didn't even bother rinsing myself off before I grabbed her and lifted her into my arms, pressing her back against the wall. She gasped when she felt my cock pressing against her pelvis and she positioned her hips to allow me to slide in.
I pushed in slowly and she dug her teeth into my shoulder to keep herself from screaming. I gripped her thighs tightly as I began moving my hips into her, enjoying her tightness and warmth. “I’ve been craving this,” I growled into her neck as I fucked her.
She whimpered and moaned with each thrust, and threw her head back in pleasure, the hot water pouring over us both. I leaned down and took one of her nipples into my mouth as I continued fucking her slowly and deeply. She dug her nails into my back and began moving her hips to meet my thrusts. All of the sensations were driving me wild andI began fucking her faster and harder, the sounds of slapping skin echoing off of the bathroom tiles. Loud moans started forming in her throat, but I covered her mouth with my hand as I continued slamming into her.
Her legs began to quiver and her walls gripped around my cock as she orgasmed, and the feeling sent me over the edge as I came deep inside of her pussy. I thrusted a final time before lifting her off of me and setting her down.
“I’m never going to get over how much I love getting fucked by you,” Jade said, still dazed from her orgasm.
We rinsed off and headed back to my room. Jade grabbed one of my shirts from my drawer and threw it on, not worrying about bottoms. She hopped into my bed and got under the blanket.
“Comfy here already I see,” I said, pulling on some boxers and joining her under the blankets. She nodded and pulled me into her, making me her little spoon. She dotted my head and neck with kisses, whispering to herself words of gratitude. I whispered my own thanks to the spirits and began drifting off to sleep.

Jade’s POV
I woke up with the sunlight warming my face. Jacob and I were cuddled up, our limbs completely intertwined and his deep breaths blowing over the top of my head. I breathed in his scent, his morning breath comforting my senses. I shifted my body up and placed a gentle kiss on his lips before swinging my leg over his thighs to straddle him.
His eyes opened sleepily and he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me tightly to his chest before his eyes fluttered shut, his soft snores resuming. I chuckled softly, this boy loves his sleep. I kissed his jaw, teasing him with tiny licks from the tip of my tongue. His deep, soft snores continued but I could feel him stiffening beneath me. I smiled and continued to tease him down his neck and to his collarbone. His snoring ceased, but his eyes remained shut.
“You’re determined not to let me sleep, huh?” He said sleepily, but a sly smile playing at the edge of his lips.
“How can I sleep and waste any daylight with this beautiful man?” I said, beginning to nibble his neck. He rubbed down my back and gripped my bare ass, his cock twitching beneath me. He kept his hands there, squeezing me softly as I continued kissing lower to his chest. I lightly licked his nipple and ran my hands over his toned chest and stomach.
I moved my body down his, giving myself access to kiss his belly and hipbones. He sighed in anticipation as I slid off his underwear and wrapped my lips around his erection. I gently sucked his head, my mouth already feeling full of him. He moaned softly as he lazily placed his fingers in my hair. I explored him with my tongue, lapping up each drip of precum that formed at the tip before opening up my throat to take him deeper.
“Ugh, Fuck, Jade,” He groaned through gritted teeth at the new sensations and he began softly thrusting, gripping my head gently. His eyes finally opened to peer down at me, our eyes locked. His neck and cheeks were beginning to flush red as the pleasure flooded his body.
I stopped, raising my body to sit in his lap once more, his cock slick with my saliva resting against my ass. I kissed him deeply, sucking his tongue and he gripped my ass again, positioning himself against my opening. I pushed back against him, controlling my hips to only allow the head to slip inside me, causing Jake to groan and dig his nails into my skin. I smiled against his lips, teasing him by moving my hips only slightly.
He hardly tolerated my teasing when he tightened his grip on my hips and pushed me down, filling me in the way only Jacob has. I gasped at the intrusion, my head falling back in ecstasy. I planted my feet onto the bed and began riding him, sliding up and down on my man. His arm snaked around my waist and he moved his hips in time with me, the impact feeling like electricity.
Soon he gripped me under my knees, lifting me up easily and began thrusting into me with his full power as I balanced on my hands. The pleasure was mounting and tears formed in my eyes as I began trembling, coming on his cock and belly. Jacob wasn’t done yet and flipped me over so I was on all fours. He got onto his knees, leaning forward to give me a few licks before lining himself up with my opening once more and feeding his entire length to my quivering pussy. He groaned in pleasure and wrapped his fingers into my hair, pulling it dominantly, forcing my back to arch and he fucked me. I was orgasming nonstop at the angle, him slamming into my g-spot unrelentingly. Until finally he leaned over me, biting my shoulder and thrusting one last time, filling me with his hot cum. His body trembled as he fell backwards, gasping to regain his breath.
I crawled back on top of him, looping my fingers into his long hair and kissing his sweaty face. “Good morning,” I said between kisses.
“Good fucking morning,” Jaocb said, panting still. He wrapped his arms around me again, lovingly and firmly. “Damn, I have to be the luckiest man alive.”
Downstairs, Billy was already entertaining Charlie, drinking coffee together. The two men smiled from behind their mugs as we came down the stairs. “Hey, son,” Charlie greeted Jacob, “Jade.”
I smiled and waved, sitting at one of the empty chairs at the dining table. “Chief Swan,” I said politely, “good to see you again.”
“Likewise,” he said. “Looks like things are going well, Jake. Sleepovers and meeting the parents already?”
Jacob smiled his brilliant smile and nodded, “Sometimes things just work out that way. I’m very lucky.” Jake grabbed two more mugs and poured coffee for us. “What do you old birds have planned for today?”
“Charlie called me for a surprise finishing trip,” Billie said excitedly.
“The weather is too good to pass up, I think. What about you guys?” Charlie asked us.
“Well,” Jacob sighed, “I have some work to do in the garage actually. I sort of have been neglecting my responsibilities the last few days.” He looked at me apologetically.
“Yeah and I should really give my folks a call. They might be worried about me, it’s been a few days since I reached out.”
“Alright kids, have fun,” Billie said as Charlie wheeled him out, two packs of beer balancing on his lap.
“Bye, Dad, bye, Chief!” I called after them.
“She’s calling you Dad?” I heard Charlie ask Billie as he loaded him into the car. They took off, waving to us as they disappeared down the road.
“They are going to gossip about us the entire trip,” Jacob said, kissing my cheek.
“Mister, I hope you haven’t been not working because you are too distracted by me…”I chastised him.
Jake shrugged his shoulders and smiled, “What seems like more fun, hanging out with you or hanging out with a bunch of rusted old parts?”
I sighed and playfully swatted his arm, “You have to be responsible too. Can I see your workspace?”
Jacob brought me out back to his garage which he’s converted to a small business. He showed me his current projects and gave me a chair to sit in while he began working on fixing someone’s motorcycle.
“What’s the end goal?” I asked, admiring the way that Jacob worked so masterfully with the tools.
“End goal?”Jacob asked, and I knew that I had broken his concentration. “Uh, wellI I want my own mechanic shop, like a legit one. And I want to take care of my dad, get us a nicer home.”
“I know you can do it,” I said encouragingly, but Jacob shook his head.
“Yeah, I hope so.” He didn’t seem all that convinced that his dream could become a reality. I silently stood up and went into his house, into the kitchen to gather some materials: a bowl, rice, bay leaves, some spices and I brought them into the garage with me. “What have you got there?”
I ignored him and got to work, laying out the materials and praying over them to cleanse it all and began pouring the ingredients into the bowl. I focussed my intentions as I worked, envisioning Jacob with his mechanic shop, running a successful business and making a lot of money. I managed to find a tea light and set it on the top of the bowl, lighting it. I also reached into Jacob’s pocket and found a dollar bill and some coins, and I put them into the bowl.
I stood in front of Jacob who was watching me suspiciously as he worked. “Jacob Black, I believe in you so much and I want you to believe in yourself. I made you this money bowl and I want you to light it every once in a while and say “I am a child of the universe, and I get what I want. Thank you for my mechanic shop and for the steady stream of income. Money flows into my life easily.” I held his hand as he repeated after me and when he finished I smiled at him and blew the candle out towards him. “My first spell for you.”
Jacob smiled and shook his head as he turned back to work, “Didn’t know that having a witch for a girlfriend could make me rich some day.”
“Am I?” I asked putting the money jar on a windowsill.
“A witch? Yeah, you told me so yourself,” Jacob laughed.
“No, silly. Your girlfriend,” I corrected him. We had been nearly inseparable since our meeting and we already said I love you and have had a lot of sex, but we never had the conversation of what we were.
Jacob laughed and stood up, crossing the garage to lean me against the window, kissing me passionately. “I mean, I guess we skipped several steps, but yeah, will you be my girlfriend?” He looked down at me expectantly, a whimsical look in his eye.
“It almost feels silly to ask,” I said, stepping onto my tippie-toes to kiss him again. “Of course I would love to be your girlfriend.”
We kissed once more and Jacob turned to continue working on the bike.
“I guess I’m not leaving Forks any time soon. Or La Push for that matter.” I sat down next to Jacob again. “I didn’t come here expecting to stay, you know.”
“Yeah, I know. So what are you going to do?” he asked.
I genuinely didn’t know. Permanently moving into Jacob’s house seemed slightly inappropriate even if everything about our relationship was moving at lightning speed. Living in a bus while staying in one location isn’t ideal and I sure don’t have the money for my own apartment.
“Maybe I should go back home,” I said and the tool Jacob was holding clattered to the floor. He was looking at me with those beautiful puppy dog eyes and they were full of sadness. “Not permanently,” I clarified. “To get my important things and money. Moving across the country is a big deal.”
Jacob breathed a sigh of relief. “Okay, I get that. Will you sell the bus and live with me?” He asked.
“Jake, do you think that’s a good idea?” I asked, trying to be a voice of reason. “I’ve been your girlfriend for twenty minutes and I have known you for less than a week.”
“It’s giving Romeo and Juliet, but far less depressing. Fuck it, let’s get married,” Jacob joked, but I suspected there was more willingness in the proposal than he would admit.
“Jacob…”
“Just think about it. We don’t need to decide right now, but you are always welcome in the Black household.
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
Jade didn’t commit to moving in with me,but it’s essentially what ended up happening. She got tired of going back and forth between the bus and the house and we ended up loading the Rabbit up with a bunch of Jade’s things and moving it permanently into the house.
Jade slowly started selling some of her camping and outdoors gear she wouldn’t be using anymore and she had a permanent area in our bathroom for her makeup and toiletries. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, we were shacking up.
We got into the routine of domestic life quickly, sharing home responsibilities and Dad really enjoyed having Jade around. It had been too long since the home had feminine energy within the walls.
Jade became more familiar with LaPush and the locals, taking the car to hang out with Emily and the pack often, and Seth had become somewhat infatuated with her. The two of them spent more time together than anyone else, going on hikes, foraging, even just watching movies together on the lazy summer days.
Billie, Jade and I pulled up to the Swan’s residence in the bus, the three of us jamming out to old 90’s rock together. It was the fourth of July and while none of us celebrated the independence of stolen land, we decided to meet the Swans for a small cookout anyways. Billie and Charlie would never turn down an excuse to drink and grill and I would never turn down a reason to eat.
Jade got out first and went to knock on the door and I helped Billie down and into his wheelchair. Bella opened the door and by the look on her face she wasn’t expecting us. Well, shit.
“Hey young Bella,” Billie called as I wheeled him up to the front door and I smiled and waved at her.
“Hi, Isabella, good to see you again,” Jade said politely.
“Hey, guys what’s going on?” Bella asked confused, but stepping back to let us inside.
“Fourth of July cookout,” Charlie said as he descended the staircase.
“You didn’t mention we would have guests,” Bella said, clearly trying to hide her annoyance. “Thought it was just us hanging out today.”
“Didn’t want you to find an excuse to run away today,” Charlie said as he neared us. “From what it sounded like it’s been a while since you and Jake have hung out, and I wanted to get to know Jade a bit better.” Charlie hugged Billie and I, and we all settled into the living room to get comfortable.
Bella disappeared into the kitchen and I followed. It’s probably better to get over the awkwardness now. “Hey, Bells, long time no see.”
Bella huffed a bit and ignored me, ducking into the fridge and pulling out hamburger patties and some beers. “Bells?” I called her softly in a singsong voice. “Don’t ignore me, please. I didn’t know that this was an ambush, I swear.”
She gave a soft chuckle, “yeah, I bet our dads conspired this plan behind our backs.”
“I don’t want today to be awkward, let’s try to have a good time,” I suggested.
“I’m not awkward,” Bella said defensively, putting the hamburgers onto a long pan and slamming them into the oven.
“What do you have against my girlfriend?” I asked softly.
“Girlfriend, Jacob, you just met this girl. And I only have a problem with a complete stranger waltzing into your life like she owns you.”
“Bella…” I sighed and leaned up against the counter. “I love Jade. I imprinted on her. And my dad loves her, hell even Charlie really likes her. The only person who has a problem with her is you…well and Leah, but Leah hates everyone.” Bella rolled her eyes, “Are you jealous, Bells?”
She scoffed incredulously, “You cocky son of a bitch.” Bella scooped up the beers and stormed back into the living room and set them down on the coffee table and then stormed upstairs.
Dad, Charlie and Jade looked back at me with puzzled looks on their faces and I shrugged before following Bella to her bedroom. I didn’t knock before opening the door and Bella was laying on her bed, her face planted into the pillow. I sat on the edge of the bed.
“Bella, I’m not being cocky, I just don’t get where your head is at. Like, can’t you be happy for me, Jake, your best friend?”
“You’re supposed to be MY Jake,” she muttered into her pillow.
“So what, am I supposed to be single and pining for you forever? I know it was nice for you, having me desperately in love with you like a damn puppy. I was there for you when Edward left you here, I picked up the pieces and I was your Jake. And even when he came back, I was still your Jake, no matter how much it hurt me to see you choose that blood sucking leech over me. But now that I’m in love and happy, now you’re upset because I’m not obsessed with you? That’s pretty fucked up, Bells.” I said, my own annoyance apparent. “I love you, Bella. I’m always going to love you, and I want us to be best friends, but actually best friends. Not best friends with weird fucked up feelings for eachother. I want you to be happy for me and get to know Jade, she’s a part of my life now.”
Bella sat up, her eyes red but no tears fell. “Jake, she is a stranger. You don’t know what love is yet.”
I scoffed and cut her off, “Oh, because you and Edward are the perfect example of a healthy and loving relationship, right?”
“Don’t you dare…” She started, but I cut her off.
“At least Jade is alive, Bella. We can eat together, when we are laying in bed I feel her heartbeat and her breaths. We can have children one day and her skin is warm. I can kiss her and taste her without the underlying threat of wanting to kill her. Bella, you haven’t even slept with Edward yet, because it’s that potentially dangerous for you and you’ve been together for years.”
Bella stammered and the tears finally welled up in her eyes. “That’s it, huh? You’re jealous that we have a normal relationship?”
“Jake, get out of my room before I punch you in the face.”
I stood up and began walking out of the room, but turned back before I left completely. “I do love you, Bella. Always. I’m only a phone call away when you’re ready to be friends.” I left and shut the door behind me and went down to join the others. I sat on the couch next to Jade who was engaged in a passionate political conversation about American history. I slid my arm over her shoulder and kissed her on the cheek.
“No luck getting through to her, huh?” Charlie asked quietly as Jade and Billie continued their conversation. I shook my head and Charlie shook his head disapprovingly. “I’m sorry, bud,” He said, handing me a beer.
We drank for the better part of the day, the hamburgers not doing much to level off our intoxication. By the evening, we were too drunk to drive home. Charlie offered us to spend the night and we accepted. In the past, Billie would sleep on the couch and Bella and I would share her bed, but that clearly wasn’t going to happen.
I helped a very drunk Billie onto the couch and I took Jade upstairs to show her where the bathroom was. When the water turned on, I went back to Bella’s room to check on her. She hadn’t been downstairs all day since our spat. I gently knocked on the door before opening it to find Bella in her bed, reading a book.
“Bells?”
She glanced up over her book and then turned her eyes back to the pages she was reading. “What?”
“You’ve been up here all day, aren’t you hungry?” She ignored me. “Just letting you know that we are spending the night. Billie is on the couch and Jade and I will be in the bus.” Bella sighed, but continued to ignore me. “G’night, Bells.”
I shut the door as the shower shut off. I gently pushed the bathroom door open as Jade was getting out of the shower, the towel already wrapped around her.
“You okay, honey?” Jade asked, seeing the worn look on my face.
I shook my head, “Not really. Ready for bed.” I stood behind my mate and kissed her shoulder gently and she tilted her head to give me more access to her neck. I kissed up her neck and to her jaw, making her moan softly. "Let's get on your jammies and get into bed.”
Chapter Text
Bella’s POV
Charlie peaked his head into my bedroom at around 9pm and I was still in bed reading. “We missed you today, Bells. What was all that about?”
I sighed and set my book down. “I just wasn’t in a sociable mood.”
“Oh, bullshit, Bella. Jake really misses you and you’re giving him the cold shoulder.”
“Dad, you can’t be on board with how quick Jake is moving with this girl. It’s insane,” I said, trying to get my father on my side.
“No more insane than you and Edwin,” Charlie said, surely butchering my boyfriend’s name on purpose. “The day you told me you were dating that boy you came home screaming at him, you ran away and next thing I hear, you're in the hospital from "falling down the stairs.” And then next thing I know, y’all are broken up and I think you and Jake are a thing, but then you’re back with that bozo, come on now, Bella. Nothing about that was sane.”
“Edward and I have problems, but everything is fine now. We are happy,” I said defending my relationship for the second time today.
“Are you, Bells? You used to seem really happy with Jacob and your other friends, but now your life seems all consumed with that guy. And, I hate to say it Bells, but your jealousy is apparent. Just…try to be happy for the boy. He’s spent long enough hung up on you, and Jade really seems like a great girl.”
“I can’t believe you’re taking his side, dad.” I shook my head in disbelief.
“I’m not taking sides, I just would hate for you to lose a friend over something so silly. If you wanted Jake then you could have had him, but now is the time to be a supportive friend.” Charlie turned to leave, “Good night, Bella.”
As soon as the door was shut behind him the window opened and Edward stepped in. I hopped up and threw my arms around his neck, kissing his cold lips. “Oh, Edward, I really needed you today.”
“I’m here, my love.” Edward hugged me back. “Charlie loves you a lot and means well, he’s still thinking about you now.”
“Yeah, well Charlie can kiss my ass. Who does he think he is criticizing our relationship and calling me jealous?” I said annoyed, sitting back in bed.
“Well, Bella, my love. You are jealous.”
I gawked at him and my face flushed red with anger. “You cannot be serious, Edward. I love YOU and only want you.”
“I know, Bella. I’ve also always known that you loved Jacob as well and you aren’t used to sharing his heart with another. It makes sense, but your father has a point. You can try to be kinder to Jacob and his girlfriend.”
“Now you’re on his side too, unbelievable.”
“I will always be on your side, Bella. Always. I don’t want you to lose your relationship with Jacob in this way, though. He’s been so important in your life all these years.” Edward paused to listen for a second and then chuckled. “Jacob just caught my scent. He’s annoyed that he can smell me while he’s, uh, otherwise occupied.”
I rolled my eyes, “fuck him, I hope he can’t finish now.”
Edward joined me in bed and wrapped his arms around me, “Don’t be that way, my love.”
“Jacob and I fought today and he was saying how his relationship is healthier than ours and at least he can eat with her and sleep with her and…” I trailed off, suddenly embarrassed to continue my thought.
“And what, Bella?” Edward urged me on, unable to read my thoughts.
Instead of finishing my sentence, I turned around and kissed him, throwing my body against his. I kissed him as passionately as I could, but his lips remained unmoving out of fear of me ingesting his venom. I pressed on, moving to unbuckle his pants, but he calmly held my wrists still. “Bella, you know we can’t.”
I huffed and pulled away, tears stinging my eyes again.”Edward, it’s been YEARS. You won’t change me and you won’t touch me without me being changed. I’m in limbo here. Jacob is right, you know. We should at least be able to take our relationship to that level.”
“I love you, Bella… isn't that enough? I can’t damn you, I won’t hurt you, and I can’t leave you, not again. What would you have me do?” Edward asked with an anguish filled expression.
I turned my back on him, “Sometimes, I think it would have been better for both of us if you never came back. Just go.” There was a cold whoosh behind me and I knew that Edward had gone and I laid in my bed and cried.
Chapter Text
Jade’s POV
The pacific north west had beautiful forests with gigantic, likely ancient trees that were full of healing energy. While Jacob worked in the garage, I often took hikes around, trying to get lost on the trails.
Seth came with me often, keeping me company as I earthed with bare feet and touched the bark as I passed, talking to the trees out loud, trying to befriend the spirits of the land.
“Why do you do that?” asked Seth, trailing behind me, balancing on a fallen log.
“Well, you’re indigenous. Do you believe that everything has a spirit?” I answered his question with a question.
Seth thought about it for a second and then shrugged his shoulders, “Well, I know that my ancestors believed it, but I don’t know if I do.”
“I like to believe in that ancient wisdom. I believe that everything holds energy and I try to connect with it, show it my respect and care when most don’t even consider it at all. I’m sure it feels nice to be acknowledged and respected every now and again, especially with how much a tree gives without much in return.”
Seth nodded and joined me by my side, placing his hand on the tree besides my own. He closed his eyes and truly connected with the tree’s spirit with ease. I was impressed by the innate connection, but not too surprised as his ancestors all hail from this very land.
I allowed him his moment and when he was done and opened his eyes, I kissed him on the cheek. “Want to try something cool?”
We found a patch of land and sat criss-cross applesauce facing each other. I placed my hands palm up, inviting Seth to hold them as they rested on my knees. I closed my eyes and took a few deep, grounding breaths and Seth followed. “Spirits of the forest,” I said out loud in a loud, calm voice. “Thank you for allowing us into your space and sharing your energy.” Seth repeated after me and I felt the energy of the forest thicken around us. The forest was extremely receptive to Seth, and I loved it. “Please make yourself known. Show yourselves to us.”
“Show yourself?” Seth asked apprehensively. I nodded encouragingly, eyes still shut. “Please show yourselves, forest spirits.”
As he spoke the trees around us began to move, the leaves beginning to shake and sway without the presence of wind. I opened my eyes to find Seth already looking up, a look of wonder on his face. “Wow,” he breathed, his childlike smile splayed across his face.
“Give Seth a sign that the spirits of the forest and the spirits of his ancestors are with us,” I asked the forest quietly. Moments later, a gray wolf walked into the clearing. It stared at us for several moments and then crossed into the other side of the clearing.
“Holy shit,” Seth said after it passed. “You are a powerful witch.”
I shook my head, “no babe, that was all you.” He smiled and I squeezed his hand lovingly. I then closed my eyes again, bending the energy around me to stir the trees once more and picking up leaves from the forest floor, swirling them up around us in a gentle cyclone. I sent the leaves up into the air and released them to rain back down on us. Seth giggled at my display, “Now that is cool.”
“Can’t argue with that,” I agreed with a wink. I stood up and helped Seth up as well, continuing to wander into the forest. “Hey, do you want to go see the Cullen’s?” I asked, the idea randomly popping into my head.
Seth gave me a dimpled smile, “Oh, hell yeah!” He took off running into the forest and I laughed, following him.
We hiked our way to the Cullen’s home, Seth answering my questions about the wolves and their abilities. Seth, knocked on the door excitedly and stepped back, waiting on someone to answer the door. Finally the door swung open and I recognized Edward immediately. “Seth, Jade, what a lovely surprise,” Edward said politely, allowing us into the house.
“Hey,” Seth greeted him, shaking his hand and Edward smiled at him.
“Hi, hope we aren’t intruding,” I said as I entered the home. Emmett, Jasper, Esme and Carlisle were already in the foyer. “Hey, guys.” I greeted everyone.
Emmett had a huge grin on his face and stepped forward to hug me and Jasper gave a polite smile. Carlisle stepped forward and shook my hand, “No, you’re not intruding at all. To what do we owe the pleasure?”
“Just stopping by, I think,” Seth said, already wandering into the home. Clearly he had been here before.
“Yeah, you all just popped into my head and I figured i would come say hi,”I explained.
“That’s so sweet of you, please, make yourselves at home,” Carlisle offered and I followed Seth into the living room where he was already happily sitting on a couch.
Jasper followed behind us with glasses of water and handed them to us and I drank in gratefully, initially unaware of how dehydrated I was. ”Thank you so much,” I said after downing the glass.
“Damn, Elphaba, you’re thirsty as hell,” Emmett laughed.
“I walked here, I don’t have wolfy stamina,” I defended myself with a laugh.
“Oh, those wolves have nothing on us,” Emmett said with a smirk.
“What!” Seth exclaimed passionately, but light heartedly. “Don’t forget that wolves only exist to take your kind down.”
Jasper and Edward looked at each other with amused looks while Esme and Carlisle looked on like disapproving parents. “Sounds like the pup wants a fight,” Emmett edged him on, his smirk widening.
Seth downed his water and stood up, “Let’s take this outside, leech.”
“Don’t hurt him,” Esme warned her son as the two rowdy boys headed out the back door.
Jasper, Edward and I followed closely behind them.
“Who do you got?” Jasper asked Edward.
“Fifty dollars on Seth,” Edward responded, and the boys shook on it.
Emmett and Seth found themselves in a clearing not too far from the house and Seth phased into a wolf. Emmett made a show of rolling his neck and cracking his knuckles.
“You’re not worried are you?” Jasper asked me with a kind smile.
I shook my head, “No, I know they’re just wrestling for play.”
“Oh, just you wait,” Edward said just as Seth charged at Emmett, the force of him slamming into the vampire sounding like a car crash. Emmet went flying several feet back but landed on his feet, still smiling. Emmett charged back at Seth, so fast my eyes could barely track him and had him in a headlock in milliseconds. My eyes widened, I had no idea how fast the vampires were.
Seth rolled his body, taking them both to the ground and loosening the vampire’s grip on him. He snapped his teeth at Emmett, barely missing his arm. Emmett jumped up into a tree with inhuman strength and speed, and hurled himself down, attempting to get on top of Seth, but he dodged and Emmett landed on the ground with a forceful THUD that sent dirt and debris into the air.
“Holy shit, you guys are so strong,” I commented in disbelief. “It’s incredible.”
“Welcome to our world,” Edward laughed as we continued watching the boys tumble around, seemingly evenly matched.
They fought for the better part of an hour, until I heard Edward mutter under his breath that Seth is getting tired. Soon after, Seth had Emmett pinned to the ground and he raised his hands in submission. “Alright little wolf, you got me this time.” I had the sneaking suspicion that Emmett let Seth win and I smiled at his sweetness. Seth’s wolf gave a satisfied nod and he phased back, smiling excitedly.
“Did you see that Jade, I kicked his ass.” I kissed Seth’s sweaty cheek and chuckled.
“Looks like Jasper owes Edward some money,” I winked at Emmett as we headed back inside. Seth headed to the kitchen sink, sticking his head under the tap and drank his fill, clearly exhausted.
“I should get him home,” I said quietly, but Seth whipped around and frowned. “Jake should be done with work soon, my love. We can watch a movie tonight,” I coaxed him. He seemed satisfied enough with my answer.
“Come back anytime you want a rematch,” Emmett offered him.
“I’ll drive you,” Edward offered.
I hugged all of the vampires goodbye and left, getting into Edward’s gray Volvo.
Seth nodded off on the drive home, snoring softly in the back seat. “He loves you a lot,” Edward commented as he drove. “He’s dreaming of you now. He regards you as a mother figure. He feels incredibly safe with you.”
My heart warmed and I smiled, “I love him too.” I wasn’t old enough to be Seth’s mother, but I loved the young boy like I had birthed him.
“It’s really lovely to see the impact you have on everyone. You only arrived, and yet you have a family and so many people who love you here. It took us decades to build our family.” Edward’s voice was void of jealousy and was only relaying facts.
“It does feel nice to be accepted so quickly. I really love the pack and life on the rez. I didn’t come here expecting to find a family, but I’m so lucky I found them,” I responded. “How’s Bella doing?” I asked genuinely worried about her. Her distaste of me was obvious, but I had no ill will towards her and genuinely hoped that we could be friends one day.
Edward was silent and grip on the steering wheel tightened. Finally he sighed, “Bella hasn’t been in contact with me since the fourth of July. Your relationship with Jacob has brought up a lot of emotions in her, which I can understand. You and Jacob have a human relationship, and everything that goes with that. Bella and I will never have that.”
I nodded, catching his drift. “How long have you been together?” I asked.
“Seven years now,” He answered quickly, as if he were tracking the days.
I thought back to the fight I witnessed earlier. “And you can’t have a human relationship because you’re scared you’ll hurt her?”
He nodded and I thought for a few moments. Jacob and I hooked up the first night we met. I can’t imagine being in love with someone and not being intimate with them for damn near a decade.
“How old are you?”
“Seventeen.”
“How long have you been seventeen.”
“A while… since 1918.”
“And you never…” Edward shook his head. I sighed. “I know you’re a man from the turn of last century, but I think there are ways to satisfy those needs. For example an open relationship, maybe. Or mutual masturbation, or using your fingers. If a physical relationship is what you both want, then I think it’s worth it to explore some alternatives. Letting fear rule your relationship is unhealthy.” I offered. “Good luck, Edward. I know you love Bella a lot, and you’re not trying to hurt her or drive her away.”
“Thanks, Jade,” Edward breathed. He looked lost in thought for the rest of the drive.

Jacob’s POV
I finished working in the garage fairly late and entered the house, the smell of garlic permeating the air. Jade was in the kitchen, plating bowls of spaghetti, Seth and my dad were in the living room watching wrestling on the couch. I came up behind Jade and kissed her on the cheek. She immediately melted into me, leaning backwards and tilting her head so that I could kiss her lips.
“You reek,” I commented, kissing her again.
“You’re the one to talk,” she shot back. Jake smelled like sweat and motor oil. “Seth and I took a field trip to the Cullen’s. I wanted to say hi,” she explained.
“You are a girl about town,” I said, kissing her deeply once more. “I need to shower. I’ll be fast, dinner smells amazing.”
I greeted Seth and Dad before I disappeared up the stairs to shower.
Seth and Dad were already eating when I came back down. I sat next to Seth and Jade promptly brought me a heaping bowl of spaghetti and garlic bread. “Made with love,” Jade said and kissed me on the cheek. She hurried back into the kitchen and brought back a can of coke for me. She sat on the other side of Seth and took the remote, flipping to Netflix. “ I promised Seth a movie with you tonight,” she explained.
We settled on an action flick with robots and we ate together. At some point I glanced over at Dad who was watching back at us lovingly. He was clearly very happy with the full house. He met my gaze and gave me an approving nod before we continued to watch the movie.
Dad went to sleep soon after finishing his meal and Jade cleared our dishes, washed them quickly and returned to the couch with a blanket. She threw it over Seth and I before coming to sit on my side, nuzzling into me. I threw one arm over her shoulder and the other over Seth who leaned into me without complaint.
After the movie Seth settled into the couch and threw on another movie for background noise as he slept, a common occurrence these days. Jade crouched over Seth, tucking him in and kissed him on the forehead. “Goodnight, my love.” She whispered to an already half asleep Seth.
“Night, mom,” he mumbled.
Jade and I retreated to our bedroom and she immediately stripped and threw on one of my t-shirts before crawling into bed. I crawled in after her and she immediately got on top of me, laying down on my chest.
“You know, I’m so grateful for you, Jade. You really are such a blessing in all of our lives,” I kissed the top of her head and hugged her to me.
“I love you, Jake. I’m so happy to be here with you.” Her breaths evened and she fell asleep on top of me.
I quietly thanked the spirits for this moment and for bringing Jade into my life.

Edward’s POV
I came in through Bella’s window as usual, surprised that she left it unlocked. Bella was already in bed, asleep when I entered, and I took a moment to watch her sleeping. She always looked so peaceful, and I always wondered what she was dreaming about.
Bella’s breaths were slow and even, and I could hear her steady heartbeats. The sound of her heart was my favorite sound, and the smell of her blood sang to me, even all these years later. I took a deep breath, calming myself before I kissed her warm cheek. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked confused in her sleepy stupor. She instinctively smiled, but as she came to her senses her smile turned to a scowl.
“Edward, what are you doing here?” She asked angrily, sitting up in bed and wiping her face of the drool at the corner of her lips.
“Bella, please,” I started, “I’ve missed you so much. Every day away from you feels like an eternity.”
Bella rolled her eyes, ”Fuck off.”
“Bella…” I took a deep breath. “I need us to fix this.”
“How do you insist we do that, Edward?” She asked pointedly.
“Take off your clothes,” I said.
Bella’s chocolate eyes widened and she flushed red, “What-”
“You heard me, Bella. Take off your clothes,” I said again, positioning her rocking chair to face the bed and sitting in it.
She was shaking now, the hairs on her arms standing up, and she gulped hard. “You can’t be serious.”
I stood up, not bothering to use human speed and was leaning over Bella. I kissed her lips softly, undoing her top button on her pajama top as I did. “Off,” I said again. I stayed where I was while she unbuttoned the rest of her shirt and placed it onto the floor. “Good girl,” I breathed into her ear and she shivered.
“What are you…”
“Your pants now,” I said, cutting her off and sitting back into the chair. Bella obeyed, standing up and shimmying off her bottoms. She stood in front of her bed in her matching soft pink bra and panties set that left little to the imagination. “Beautiful,” I whispered and she went red from her chest up.
“Edward…” I could hear her heart beat speed up and I smelled her arousal.
“Lay down, Bella. Facing me, let me see you,” I commanded and she apprehensively laid in her bed, her back against the wall, her knees shut to hide herself. I took several moments, watching her and assessing how in control of myself I felt. Seeing her this was starting to drive me crazy, but when I knew I was still in control I smiled at her. “Unclasp your bra, my love.”
Bella reached behind herself with shaky hands and then covered her breasts with her hands, the pink of her areolas peeking out from her fingers. I smirked at her and she blushed deeper. “Now your panties.”
“Edward, what are you doing?” Bella kept her breasts hidden and stared back at me with wide doe eyes, her heart beating wildly.
“Let’s get out of limbo. Panties.” Bella slowly slid her panties off and dropped them on the ground. My mouth hung open slightly as I took her in. Her soft, white body was completely exposed. The smell of her arousal overwhelmed me and the urge to sink my teeth into her and drain her of every drop of blood was stronger than ever. I gripped the arm of the chair tightly, forcing myself to remain calm. “Bella…you’re so beautiful.”
She looked back at me silently, unsure of what to say or do.
“Touch yourself,” I requested softly. She hesitated, but her trembling fingers slowly made their way to her core, which she was unsuccessfully trying to hide from me with locked knees. She apprehensively stroked herself, and it was undoing me. If my heart were beating it would have popped out of my chest by now. She was slick with her own wetness and I wanted nothing more but to devour her. My cock was beginning to stir in my pants and I grasped it with one hand.
She watched me closely and this movement aroused her even more, her heart beating even faster and she sighed, rubbing herself more vigorously. “Open your legs, Bella.” She did immediately and continued rubbing her moist folds, gripping her breast with the other hand, pinching her nipple. I bit my lip as I watched her, a hungry groan escaping my throat, my cock hardening further. “May I take off my pants?” I asked.
Bella nodded feverishly, her rubbing becoming even more frenzied. I unbuckled my pants and pulled my cock out. Bella’s mouth hung open and she seemed shocked by my size. I grasped it and began stroking myself slowly, watching her as she began plunging her fingers inside of herself, more turned on than before. She moaned and writhed under her own fingers and I quickened the pace of my strokes.
We stared at each other hungrily, both moaning and grunting under our own hands until I couldn't stand being so far from her. I slowly stood up and walked over to the bed, closely monitoring myself, ready to stop at the first sign of losing control. “Keep touching yourself,” I commanded as I sat on the bed, positioning myself on her side, gripping her thigh as I kissed her cheek, neck and shoulder. I watched her from this angle, spreading her leg and lifting her slightly for a better view.
Suddenly she slid her fingers out of herself and gripped me with her slick fingers. She turned her head and began kissing me, stroking me slowly. I groaned against her lips, thrusting into her fist. I moved my hand to replace hers, exploring her sopping wetness before sending two fingers deep into her.”Ohhh,” she moaned, throwing her head back to lean against my chest. I stuffed my fingers into her, her walls closing against my fingers.
“You’re so tight, Bella. And so wet…” I fingered her deep, my fingers pumping into her quickly, as I curled my fingers to grab her g-spot. Bella reached up, looping her fingers into my hair, her hips rocking and bucking against my fingers.
“Edward,” she gasped, shutting her eyes tightly as she spasmed on my fingers, her entire body trembling under my touch. She gasped and blinked back tears, completely collapsing against me, dazed from her orgasm.
“Oh my god, just like that,” I groaned, slipping my fingers out of her, eliciting another involuntary spasm from her. I grasped myself and used Bella’s sticky wetness as I stroked myself over the edge. I groaned as I came into my hand, panting at the end and kissing Bella on the head.
“Edward, what the fuck was that?” Bella asked, coming down from her dazed stupor.
I chuckled and reached onto the nightstand to take a tissue, cleaning the cum from my hand. “That was amazing.” I kissed Bella on the lips softly.
“It was absolutely phenomenal,” Bella agreed, turning to face me. “But, what got into you? We have been together for years, and you haven’t touched me. So what changed? Not that I’m complaining…”
“Well, you can thank Jade for talking some sense into me, actually,” I admitted.
“Jade!?” Bella asked incredulously.
I nodded, “Yeah, she came by the house and I told her we weren't talking and she told me that I was being unfair to you, and to myself by being so…prudish. She gave me some good suggestions of how to…please you…safely. Bella, I’m still so terrified of hurting you, but I owe it to you to try some things. Explore you and maybe we can work ourselves up to going all the way.”
Bella silently nodded and smiled slightly, “Well, thank you, Jade. I’ve waited seven years to get fingered by you. I definitely want to keep going…try new things. How do you feel?”
“Bella, that was my first orgasm in one hundred years. I feel like a million bucks,” I admitted laughing.
“Want to do it again?” Bella asked with a mischievous grin.
Chapter Text
Jade’s POV
I sat in the front yard with Seth, meditating with him. He had taken an interest in connecting to his spirituality more since our time in the forest. As he meditated on connecting with nature, I basked in his golden energy, breathing it in deeply. Jacob was around back, working on a project in the garage with Quill and Embry.
I felt Seth’s energy shift as he lost focus on his meditation and I opened my eyes to find his head turned, watching the road for something I couldn't see yet. “Someone’s coming,” he said, his voice tinged with curiosity.
I closed my eyes again, focusing on the road as well, and sensed that things were about to be shaken up some. Someone from an uneasy past was heading this way.
As if on cue, a small red car was visible down the usually desolate road. It crawled towards the house and pulled into the driveway right in front of the house. Three sets of eyes watched us as we sat in the grass, watching them back. “Jake, come out here,” Seth said quietly, but Jacob heard him and appeared in seconds, standing beside us. Quill and Embry followed closely behind him, confused expressions on their faces.
Three women exited the car, two of them identical, and I recognized them from the photo album: Jacob’s sisters. I looked up at Jake, whose face was twisted in an angry expression. I had never seen him this way, and it worried me. I stood up quickly and wrapped my arm around his waist, hoping that feeling me next to him would help ground him.
“What the hell are you doing back here?” Jake spat through gritted teeth, his body trembling in anger.
The twins stared back at Jake, one matched his pissed expression, and the other looked uneasy. The third woman wrapped her arm around the uneasy twin and looked up at her with concern in her eyes.
“Hi, Jacob, it’s been a while…” she started, but Jake cut her off.
“A while, Rebecca? It’s been like a decade.”
The twin whom I assumed was Rachel crossed her arms, “I told you coming here was a mistake.”
Billy, who probably heard the commotion from inside the house suddenly appeared by the door, an unreadable expression on his face. Some kind of mix between shock, anger, worry, and happiness. “Girls… you’re back.”
Rebecca walked towards her dad, getting on her knees to hug her father, collapsing into his lap in tears. “Dad, I’m so sorry we disappeared. You’re in a wheelchair? How did this happen? And Jake is so big.” She was absolutely overwhelmed with emotion, and even Billy began to tear up, rubbing her back to console her.
Rachel and the other woman stayed by the car. Rachel stared at the scene with a disgusted look on her face. “Beck, you have nothing to apologize for.”
Rebecca sat up, wiping the tears from her face, “Dad, this is Amber, my wife.” Amber walked up behind her wife and reached out to shake Billy’s hand.
“Hi, Amber,” he managed, choking back his tears. “Girls, come in, please. I’ll make some coffee.” He backed up into the house, and Rebecca followed, hand in hand with Amber. Rachel spat on the floor before following her family in, her anger damn near radiating off of her.
Anger was radiating off of Jacob, too, who had still failed to move an inch. “Jake?” I whispered, and he shook his head.
“Jake, you good, man?” Quill asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Jake was still shaking his head, and Quill and Embry gave each other concerned looks. “Hey, Jake…”
Jacob took a deep breath before turning back to his friends, “You guys should head out. I gotta deal with this bullshit. I will text you later, alright?” The boys nodded and headed towards Embry’s car.
“Seth, go with them,” I said, and he stood up in protest. “My love, just for a while, okay? They have to have a private conversation.” Seth sighed and began to follow the other boys. “Love you,” I called, knowing he was worried about Jacob.
“Love you, mom,” he said in a disappointed tone.
Jacob and I watched as the car disappeared down the road, the boys waving at us as they passed.
“You should go talk to them,” I said softly, and Jacob scoffed.
“I have nothing to say to them, Jade. I don’t even think of them as my sisters anymore.”
“At least go be with Dad,” I urged him. “I’ll take the rabbit into town for a bit. You need to talk to your family.” Jake didn’t move and I squeezed his waist, “Come on, babe.” I pulled him towards the house. The three women were sitting in the living room with Billy, a heavy tension filling the air. I grabbed the keys to the truck and waited for Jacob to enter the living room before I left.
I drove around aimlessly for a bit before finding a quaint coffee shop at the edge of the rez. I pulled into the driveway and parked the car. I walked in towards the counter when I noticed a woman scowling at me from her table: Leah. I smiled at her and waved, but she ignored me and turned her head to glance out the window. I chuckled, classic Leah.
I went to the counter and ordered an iced americano and two croissants. I got my order and went to Leah’s table and sat down, watching her cautiously. She groaned and looked at me, I had successfully annoyed her. “What?”
I offered her a croissant, which she also ignored. “How are you, Leah?” I asked.
“Peachy, can you go away?” She spat at me.
I sipped my coffee and shook my head, “Sorry, Leah, I ran into you for a reason, and I must figure out why.” I reached into my purse and pulled out a deck of tarot cards. I knocked on them and began shuffling, Leah becoming more annoyed by the millisecond.
“Keep that weird bullshit away from me, witch,” she warned me.
I continued shuffling, ignoring her bitchy attitude. “Oh, something’s holding you back?” I asked, gaining the psychic message from my spirit guides. “Some door that lies in front of you that you’re afraid to open…” I pulled the first card: the nine of swords. “Yup, you’re afraid of something, alright.” I pulled the second card: the hermit. “This is something internal that you must figure out on your own, Leah. Something you’ve reflected on a lot and are afraid to commit to.” I pulled the third card: the ten of cups reversed. “You’re afraid of disrupting the family dynamic, as well.” I closed my eyes, trying to piece together the message. “The fears are valid, because they’re your feelings…But I also want you to know that everything will be okay. Your family loves you, Leah. Whatever you’re going through, you have all of our support.”
Leah scoffed again, “You can’t think I’m that stupid. I know what the pack thinks of me, Jade. They hate being around me. I’ll never be part of the pack, not really.”
“Leah, I assure you that the pack doesn’t hate you. Afraid to set you off, yes. You’re a bitch to everyone,” I laughed, and Leah glared at me. “Even so, we all love you. We would appreciate it if you were nicer to us, but I assume you dealing with this fear and making this decision will help you do that.”
“You have no idea what you’re talking about,” Leah argued. “This isn’t a simple decision, it’s a huge life change and….everyone will look at me differently.”
“Different isn’t bad, Leah. You know these boys as well as I do. Don’t let your fears cloud the truth.”
She stood up and grabbed the croissant I offered her, “You’re a freak.” She said this without any venom in her tone, and I stood up and hugged her before she could protest.
“You can call me for anything, at any time, Leah. You’re my family, too.” She accepted the hug for a second and then gently pushed me away.
“See ya, Jade,” she said as she left the coffee shop.

Jacob’s POV
I stood next to Dad, placing my hand on his shoulder, squeezing reassuringly. He reached up and patted my hand, giving me a weak smile. The look in his eyes pleading with me to please be nice.
I already knew that I wouldn’t be. I was already in a staring match with Rachel who was sitting cross legged and cross armed at the far end of the sofa, her foot shaking in the way I remember whenever she was pissed.
We sat there in silence for several moments, unable on how to even talk to each other after ten years. After all the years of dead silence and buried pain and resentment towards each other. Finally, I broke the ice.
“I know damn well that you didn’t come back here just to stare at dad and me.”
Rebecca started to tear up again but choked it back. “Dad, Jacob, you both have every reason to be upset. Rach and I packed up our bags and completely disappeared without a word. That wasn’t right, and I am so sorry.”
“Sorry, you stupid cunt, I can’t believe this bullshit,” I spat at my sister.
“Jake, please…” Billy begged me softly.
“No, dad, they left us after mom died. Rebecca even said it, they disappeared. They shouldn’t be allowed to just waltz in here like everything is fine,” I argued back.
Rachel stood up finally, throwing her hands up, “Jacob, will you grow the fuck up. You weren’t that young when we left. You remember how after mom died, dad completely forgot we existed? You remember right? Mom died, dad started drinking. Dad stopped cooking. Dad stopped driving us to school. Dad fucking disappeared long before we did.” Rebecca started crying again, but Rachel continued her rant. “Beck and I were drowning, trying to take care of our kid brother while mourning our mother and becoming women. You selfish prick.”
“Selfish? I was eleven when mom died, thirteen when you left. I was selfish? I was a kid! A kid you left all alone with dad to pick up the pieces. I was mourning too. Dad was mourning too.” Suddenly I was face to face with Rachel, her shoulders squared like she was going to hit me. Go ahead, I’ll laugh when you break your fingers on my face.
“We were all mourning,” Rebecca reminded us, physically putting herself between us. “We were all hurting. And yes, we put ourselves first when we left. Dad, you neglected us for years and when Rach and I were 18 we packed up our car and went to Washington. It was hard to leave you, Jake, please believe that. We love you, Jacob. But we had to go.”
I scoffed but Billy began to cry then, “I know I failed you kids when your mother died. I’m so sorry, to all of you. You girls leaving hurt me deeply, but it did snap me back into reality so that I could be there for Jake. I’m so sorry that I couldn’t do the same for you, Rachel and Rebecca. I am so sorry.” Billy lost himself in sobs, “I’m just happy to see my girls again.”
“Well, I’m glad you’re happy, dad. Fuck this.” I turned to leave, barely making it out of the room before phasing.
Chapter Text
Jade’s POV
It had been several hours and I hadn’t heard from Jake yet. I had spent time reading tarot for the baristas and staring out the window at the rain long enough. It was dark now and the cafe was closing. I finished my fifth americano and tipped the barista well before leaving. “Thank you, come again.”
I began driving back home, my mind racing with what I might stumble into when something huge flashed across the road, causing me to swerve as I screeched to a halt. Was that a wolf?
I pulled off to the side of the road and ran in the same direction. “Jake, baby?” I called into the dark forest. “Jacob!” I called again. A huge wolf appeared from the trees and stood in front of me. His eyes were sad, and low whimpers escaped his chest. I reached out and stroked his fur. “Didn’t go well? ” I leaned my head onto his head and kissed his muzzle. “Change back so we can talk.”
Jake phased back and collapsed onto the floor. This was the weakest I had ever seen him and my heart bled for him. I got on my knees next to him and put my head on his shoulder. “My love,” I whispered, “I hate seeing you in pain.”
He gave a weak chuckle, “It hurts a little less now. I haven’t been able to phase back in hours. I see you and I calm down immediately.”
“It was that bad?” I asked.
“I was that pissed. My sisters were so…hard to listen to. They left my dad and me after my mom died. We didn’t hear from them until today, Jade. Now Rebecca has a wife and who knows what they’ve been up to all this time. They didn’t even know dad was in a wheelchair.”
“That’s heavy, babe, but I hope you can find it in yourself to give them some grace. They’re your sisters and they were young, trying to navigate life the best they could.”
“By leaving us behind?”
“I don’t know babe, were you the most rational person when you were 18? They probably felt so guilty, too. Facing you and Dad must have been so hard. You have every right to be angry with them, but is there any hope for forgiveness?” I asked.
Jacob was silent for a long time.
“It’s okay not to know, right now,” I assured him, running my fingers through his long hair. “Do you want to go home?” I asked.
Jake scoffed, “Not particularly. But where else could we go?”
“We have the bus, we could go anywhere,” I answered.
Jacob thought for a long time, “Could we go to Louisiana?”
I nodded, “We could go to Louisiana. But, Jake, do you think you should try to amend things with your sisters?”
“Vacation first, family therapy later?” Jacob suggested.
I nodded, “Let’s get home, we can leave in the morning.”
Seth was already back to the Black’s when we got inside, sitting in between Rachel and Rebecca who already seemed more comfortable. “Baby Seth, we haven’t seen you since you were in diapers!” exclaimed Rachel, smiling for the first time since I had seen her. Seth looked uncomfortable, but was keeping a polite front.
He hopped up, running over to hug me when he heard us enter the house, “mom!”
“Hey, my love. Sorry about earlier,” I hugged him back tightly.
“It’s okay, I understand. Hey, Jake, you okay?” Seth asked and Jacob wrapped his arm around Seth’s neck in response, giving him a noogie.
“I’m okay, kid. You should know better than to worry about me.” Jacob said, his dimpled smile back.
“Mom?” Rachel asked with a scoff. “Did he just call this chick ”mom?”
Oh, shit, here we go.
Jacob’s face flipped immediately and he turned to walk into the living room to confront his sister, but Billy started talking before Jacob could start. “Seth has some issues at home. He got really close to Jade and they love each other very much, be kind.”
“Do us all one better and just shut the fuck up,” Jacob snapped. “This “chick” is my girlfriend. Never ever fix your mouth to disrespect her again, or we are going to have problems.”
Rachel lifted her hands in surrender, “Sorry, Jake. I shouldn’t have said that. I still have a lot of anger, but I don’t want to fight. I missed my baby brother.”
Jake’s jaw tightened but he simply nodded and turned to head up the stairs. “Seth, we need to talk to you.” I said before following Jacob upstairs.
Seth met us in our bedroom and shut the door. “What’s going on, guys?” He sat on the floor in front of the bed Jake and I were sitting on.
“Babe, Jake and I decided to go to Louisiana tomorrow morning,” I told him softly. “Things here are a bit too much for him.”
“You and Jake…” he said slowly, catching my drift. “So you’re leaving me here.” Seth got sad immediately.
“Seth, I know you call Jade mom, but she legally doesn’t have guardianship over you. If your mom called the cops, it would be bad for you and for her,” Jacob explained gently.
“So, my mom won’t care and Leah is never around anyways. I can ask my mom, and she’ll agree. Will you take me with you if she agrees?” Seth was basically pleading with me.
“My love, of course I will. Okay, so we wake up bright and early and stop by the Clearwater’s to talk to Seth’s mother and pack a bag if she agrees,” I confirmed with them both.
Jake nodded and Seth was his smiling self again, “Alright! Road trip with mom and dad!”
Jake playfully tackled Seth and pinned him on the ground, “Hey, since when am I dad?”
“Hey, what part of bright and early didn’t you understand?” I clapped my hands at the boys, “Time for bed.”

Seth’s POV
I lay on the couch all night, hardly able to sleep a wink due to the new sounds in the house. Jake’s snoring was usually enough to keep me up, but now I had to deal with the girls gossiping all night long and the sound of Jade frantically packing and cleaning up before we left. So much for bedtime.
I decided to nap on the drive and watch anime until the sun rose.
I was up and moving first, and made a huge pot of coffee. I knew that mom would want some for the drive. I threw four waffles into the toaster and smeared them with peanut butter and jam, smooshing them together like a sandwich. I took a huge bite as I ascended the stairs and knocked on Jade and Jake’s bedroom door.
“Morning, let’s hit the road!” I called, and Jacob groaned, pulling his pillow up over his head. “No way, Jake, this trip was your idea! Wakey, wakey, Jakey.”
I shut the door and could hear Jade laughing and repeating my words. “Wakey, wakey, Jakey. I love that.”
I went across the hall and showered, finishing my waffles as the hot water hit my back.
We got on the bus an hour later. Jacob took a few minutes to talk to Billy and tell him our plan. They showered together with less hanky panky than usual and then came downstairs with their bags. “Seth, you made coffee? Thanks so much.” Jade poured a huge thermos full for herself, as I knew she would.
We drove towards my place and parked in the street. “You can stay here; it won’t take long,” I said, standing up to leave the bus, but Jade was already turning off the engine.
“We should talk to your mom, Seth,” Jake said with a serious look, and we all walked towards the house together.
I opened the front door, walking in before the others, scoping out the situation. The house was filthy, with dust-covered, empty bottles on every surface. Dirty dishes filled the sink, and I suspected that Leah hadn’t been home in a long time either. I could hear my mother’s breathing upstairs.
I tiptoed up the stairs and went into the bedroom Leah and I shared. I already had my backpack full of my essentials in the truck, so I grabbed my duffel bag and stuffed in spare outfits and another pair of sneakers. I finally went into my mother’s bedroom. She was fast asleep in her bed with a bottle of wine still in her grasp.
“Mom,” I whispered, keeping my distance so as to not have a repeat of the last time I woke her up. “Mom, wake up.”
She got groggily from the bed and immediately threw the bottle at me. I shut the door in time for the glass to break on the wood instead of my face. Jake and Jade ran up the stairs, and I put my hand out, stopping them from coming any closer. I cracked the door open and spoke again, “Mom, I’m going to go to Louisiana with Jacob Black and Jade. You cool with that?
“Who the hell is Jade?” she asked, slurring her words.
“She’s been taking care of me,” Seth said softly. “She’s Jake’s girlfriend. Can I go with them?”
“How long you plan to be gone?” She asked, some semblance of the caring mom she used to be shining through her drunkenness.
“Not sure,” I responded. “Not too long, I assume.” She laid back down without answering back. “Mom, can I go?”
“Seth, I don’t give a shit, just go,” she responded.
My chest deflated a bit; despite how often she showed me or verbally told me that she doesn’t care about me, it still stung.
Jade’s eyes widened in rage, and she stormed up the stairs. I tried to stop her from entering the room, but she looked at me sternly, and I let her pass. She swung open the bedroom door and stepped over the broken glass, standing by my mother’s bedside.
“How dare you, Sue Clearwater. You have the most amazing son, and this is how you treat him?” Mom sat up in bed, gawking at Jade. “Seth is the sweetest, most gentle boy in the world. I can’t fathom treating anybody this way, especially my own kids. You don’t give a shit? Fuck you, Sue. I love Seth like he is my own. I’ll be damned if I EVER let you talk to my son like that again.” Jade turned, slamming the door. “Let’s go,” she said, storming down the stairs.
Jade got into the bus and slammed the driver's side door. She gripped the steering wheel and screamed. Jake and I glanced at each other before getting into the bus. I immediately wrapped my arms around her shoulders and squeezed her before I realized she was crying.
“Mom, don’t cry, please. I’m used to it, I swear,” I tried comforting her.
“That’s the fucking point, Seth. You shouldn’t have to be used to that. You don’t deserve that shit,” Jade sobbed through tears.
“Hey, ma, stop. My mother may be the worst, but I have family. You, Jake, and the pack. I have so much love around me all the time.”
Jade turned her body to face me, wrapping her arms around my neck. “I love you so much, Seth.”
“I love you too, mom. I really needed you in my life.”
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
The road trip went by without a hitch. Seth fell asleep in the back almost right away, and Jade video called her parents, finally introducing us digitally and letting them know that we would be coming to visit. Her mom and dad were really sweet southern grandparent types, and Jade’s mom kept raving about how handsome I was. They were both excited to receive us when we arrived.
Jade and I took turns driving, switching off every few hours. We jammed out to CDs the non-driver chose and stopped in each state for a family photo in front of every “welcome to…” sign.
When he was awake, Seth was enamored by the changing geography of the states. From lush forests and mountains, to deserts and prairies, to the hills and swamps.
Driving into Louisiana was a huge shock for me as well. I was immediately astonished by the diversity of the people and the beauty of the land. The swampy landscapes were unlike anything I had ever seen.
Finally, after two days of driving almost nonstop, we pulled into a beautiful yard full of willow trees. We rode up the meandering path until a huge white mansion was in sight. My jaw dropped at the architecture, and I looked at Jade, who looked up at me sheepishly. “Surprise,” she said weakly.
“You live here?” Seth yelled, opening a window to hang his head out for a better view.
Jade’s family waited for us by the front door, her sister jumping excitedly as we pulled up. Jade had barely turned off the engine when she was running full speed towards the family. Jade and her sister locked in an embrace, squealing as they rocked back and forth. When they finally broke the embrace, Jade opened her arms to hug both of her parents at once.
“Did you know she was loaded?” Seth asked me as we unloaded our luggage.
“Nope,” I mouthed as we neared the family.
“Mom, dad, this is Jacob Black, my boyfriend, and Seth Clearwater, my son,” Jade finally introduced us.
“Son as in Jacob’s child?” Jade’s sister asked with wide eyes.
“No, dumbass, son, like I love this boy more than life itself and will be looking into adoption post haste,” She explained, and I wasn’t entirely sure how serious she was. “Jake, Seth, this is my sister, Lavender, and my parents.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. LeBlanc, Lavender,” I put my hand out to shake her parents’ hands but I received warm embraces instead.
“It’s nice to finally meet the man who is apparently important enough to get our daughter to stop travelling,” Mr. Leblanc said with a hearty laugh.
“Well, I get it now, I would stay anywhere someone this handsome tells me to,” Lavender said, winking at me.
“Please, come inside, y’all must be exhausted from the drive,” Mrs. LeBlanc said, ushering us inside.
The inside of the home was even more luxurious than I would have imagined. The feel of the house was classic southern, but elevated with cool colored walls and furniture and plants everywhere. It definitely felt like a rich witch's home.
Jade led us up the grand staircase, first showing Seth which room would be his and then into our bedroom, that was about the size of a small apartment.
“Jade…” I said, taking in the huge bedroom. I had never imagined I would set foot in some place so bougie in my life.
“I know, I know…” she started, “My family is…”
“Filthy rich,” I finished for her.
“Yeah. Our small museum is actually really successful, and with the ghost tours and seances…” She trailed off and shrugged her shoulders.
“So your whole family is witches?” I asked, barely able to comprehend that I was standing in a mansion.
“Well, my mom and I are witches. My dad is a really good businessman, and Lavender is not at all interested in the supernatural,” Jade explained and grabbed my hand. “Sorry, I didn’t tell you.”
I kissed her neck, “I can understand keeping it a secret to some extent. Some warning would have been nice, though.”
“I’ll make it up to you after dinner,” she teased with seductive eyes.
Seth came running into our bedroom, excitement filling his eyes, “I can’t believe this is where you live, Mom! The bathtub looks like a swimming pool! And, and, the bed can fit like the whole pack all at once, not that I would want to sleep in a bed with the whole pack… AND THE TV LOOKS LIKE A MOVIE SCREEN!”
“Movie nights are going to hit different, huh, Seth?” I said with a smile.
“Get unpacked, dinner will be soon,” Jade said with a gentle smile. Seth ran back down the hall, and I heard his door shut and the television turn on.

Jade’s POV
The private chef made a show of prepping all of the Louisiana staples for our visitors: gumbo, soft-shelled crabs, jambalaya, boudin, and beignets for dessert. The wolves were wide-eyed when they saw the spread, and my family looked impressed by their appetites.
“So tell us more about yourself, Jacob,” Dad requested from across the table. “You working? In school?”
“Uh, yes, sir. I graduated from Port Angeles University with a business degree, and I have a makeshift mechanics shop in my garage. It’s small, but I have steady business and it keeps the bills paid.”
“Any goals to expand?” He asked, the business talk perking his ears.
Jacob shook his head. “That’s the dream, but it doesn’t seem feasible at the moment,” he admitted.
“You’re a bright young man, I can see that. I’d be more than happy to talk business with you sometime, if you’re interested,” Dad offered.
Jacob was grinning ear to ear, “That would be amazing, sir.”
“And you, Seth?” My mom eagerly invited him into the conversation. “I have my first grandchild, and I know nothing about it, except that he’s a cutie pie. I smiled at her acceptance of Seth into the family, and Seth beamed with happiness.
“Well, I’m thirteen years old. I start high school in the fall…” Seth seemed like he was already out of ideas.
“What do you do for fun?” Lavender asked him.
“I like watching movies with Mom and surfing when the weather is nice. I hike and spend a lot of time with the other boys on the rez.”
My parents smiled brightly at Seth. I could see that they were falling in love with him just as easily as I had.
“Can we bring the boys to the museum tomorrow?” I asked my parents and they lit us.
“They know about our little business?” My mom asked curiously.
“They know everything,” I confirmed.
“Ah, perfect,” my mom grinned. “I would be honored to show my son and grandson our world.”
After dinner, we retired to our bedroom. The door was barely shut all the way before Jake had me pinned against the bedroom door with his feverishly hot lips on mine.
I pushed him away, and he protested with a groan. “Don’t complain at me, just wait a second.” I held Jake’s hand, leading him into the bathroom. I turned on the bathtub tap, Jacob immediately picking up what I was putting down.
He took off his shirt and unbuttoned his jeans, pausing before removing them. “Do you have bubbles?”
I giggled at his innocent request, “Of course, babe.” He continued undressing as I fetched the bubbles from under the sink. I poured in a generous amount and leaned over the gigantic tub, using my hand to swirl the soap in the water. As I was bent over, I felt Jacob’s large hands gripping my hips as he pressed himself against my ass.
I smirked as I spun around, standing on my toes to kiss him. His hands worked as we made out, my clothes disappearing quickly. Finally, I was nude, and Jake gently lifted me up and placed me in the hot water. I was immediately engulfed in a tower of bubbles. Jacob followed quickly, pressing his body against mine, continuing to attack my lips.
“You taste like beignets,” I managed to say as Jacob began kissing my neck.
“Mmm,” he moaned happily against my throat, “so do you.” Jacob sat up, pulling me with him and lifted me up to sit on the edge of the bathtub, “I bet you taste like beignets here too,” he said, spreading my legs and then gripping my ass. He leaned in, licking and sucking me in the way he knew drove me crazy. I grasped the back of Jacob’s head to steady myself as I leaned backwards in pleasure. “Yup, just as sweet,” he groaned before he latched onto my now throbbing clit, slipping in two fingers. “I want to bathe in you.”
Jacob expertly moved his fingers in me, knowing exactly how to get what he wanted, and I exploded, showering him in my juices. His face flushed in his arousal, and he leaned back, nodding his head at me, beckoning me to him.
I immediately obeyed, straddling him, the hot water and bubbles coming to my shoulders. I reached beneath me, lining Jake up with my entrance, and sat on him, pleasure shooting up from my core. Jake gripped my hips, pushing me down onto him, forcing himself as deep into me as he would fit. He hissed from the sensation, and my eyes shut tight from the sensation of being completely stuffed by him.
I began moving my hips, lifting myself off of him and then slamming myself back down, the violent movements causing the water in the tub to splash onto the floor. My lips found Jacob’s again, and I sucked his tongue and bit his lips as I continued riding him. He no longer tasted like beignets; all I could taste was my own salty juices, and it was driving me wild.
I threw my arms around Jacob’s neck and held him tightly, the moans escaping my throat reverberating off the marbled bathroom. I was feral, slamming my body against Jacob, bringing myself closer and closer to the edge until finally, I was seeing stars, damn near screaming his name.
“Yes, honey, say my name just like that. Cum on my dick,” Jacob’s arm was wrapped around my waist now, holding me down on him as my pussy spasmed against his rock-hardness. My entire body trembled as my orgasm was prolonged by Jake’s cock pulsating inside of me, pressed firmly against my cervix.
“Fuck, Jake, please,” I muttered as the orgasm was becoming almost too much.
Jake complied, allowing me to lift off of him a bit, but held my hips in place, and he drove up into me, nearing his own completion. His mouth hung open as He looked up at me with heavy, lust-filled eyes. “Jade, babe, I want you to scream my name.”
I giggled, which was the wrong response because Jake wrapped his fingers into the hair near the nape of my neck, tightening his fist and forcing me to arch backwards. He used his other arm to loop back around my waist to push me back down onto him, hitting the spot that felt just a little too good, his thrusts just as hard and steady as they were moments ago.” Say my name,” he commanded.
It was an involuntary response, because I began spasming on him again, “ahhh, Jacob, yes baby, fuck me Jacob, I’m going to cum if you keep fucking me like that!” I was screaming and shaking again, much to Jacob’s satisfaction. He loosened the grip on my hair and moved his hand to my throat, squeezing just hard enough and moving my head down so I was looking into his eyes as he filled me up, finishing with needy, animalistic groans.
He collapsed backwards when he was done, his arms over either side of the tub. He was panting, struggling to catch his breath. “That was….the hardest…I’ve cum in my life…” He managed to mumble. “Fuck, Jade. I love you so much.”
I dotted loving kisses across Jacob’s jaw line and finally a light kiss on his lips. “I love you more, Jacob. Forever.”
“You’d better,” Jacob jokingly threatened, wrapping an arm around me, hugging me to him. “I literally can’t imagine a life without you now. I want you to be Mrs. Black.”
I rolled my eyes, “You’re just high from that orgasm.”
His eyes opened, and he gave me a serious look, “I am high from that insane orgasm, but I’m very clear-headed about you, always.”
“Are you proposing to me, Jacob?”
“No,” Jacob kissed me before leaning his head back and closing his eyes once more. “Not yet.”
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
I woke up before Jade, for once. Likely just the excitement of being in a new place. I got up, careful not to wake Jade, and got dressed for the day, and headed out of the room to explore the mansion. I stopped in front of Seth’s room, taking a moment to check on him; he was still sleeping.
I went down the stairs and noticed that the house was buzzing with activity. A team of cleaners was wiping away at the already spotless home, and I could hear the private chef prepping breakfast, something sizzling on the stove. “Ah, good morning, Jacob,” Mrs. LeBlanc said in a sing-songy voice. She rounded the stairs and smiled up at me. “A morning bird, huh?”
I smiled back, “Not typically, no. Today I am, I guess.”
“Huh, that’s lucky for me. Want to have a cup of coffee with my husband and me?” She asked, extending her arm towards me. I looped my arms in hers, and she led me out the double doors that led to a huge back patio that overlooked a swampy pond. The huge willow trees and herons with the sunrise backdrop made it look like a movie scene.
Mr. LeBlanc was already at a table, sitting, reading a newspaper, and smoking a cigarette. He set the paper down when he noticed us and snuffed out his cigarette, which I was grateful for. The smell was unbearable with my wolf senses.
“Good morning, sir,” I said, sitting in a chair between my in-laws.
“Morning, Jacob. Sleep well?” He asked.
“Like a baby,” I responded just as a maid came out with a percolator full of hot coffee and some mugs. Another maid carried a bowl of sugar and creamer. The maids served the coffee, and I thanked her, taking a sip of the black coffee. Damn, even the coffee tasted expensive.
We sat quietly for a while, the LeBlancs allowing me to enjoy the beauty of the morning. I watched the huge birds wade in the water, dipping their heads beneath the surface before throwing their heads back to swallow the fish. I smiled at the simplicity of the moment and thanked the spirits silently.
“What a view, huh? Jonathan and I sit out here every morning. It’s somehow even more magical on rainy days. Renewing even,” Mrs. Leblanc had a serene look on her face, her eyes shut as she took long, deep breaths in the way I’ve seen Jade do countless times now. Actually, Jade favored her mother a lot, with the same big almond-shaped eyes and high cheekbones. Mrs. LeBlanc was a beautiful older woman, and I imagined Jade with the same gray hair and lines from age. “Jade didn’t scare you off when she told you she was a witch, huh? How did that conversation go?”
I smiled, thinking back to our first evening together. I heavily edited the story, making it appropriate to share with her family, but was honest. “I’m native, from the Quilliette tribe. Magic and spirituality are a part of our history and culture, even to this day. I’d never met a witch before, but I just took it in stride, I guess. Jade was also really interested in our history and respectful to our traditions and land. Jade being a witch never swayed how I looked at her, except adding another thing that makes her, her.”
“And how do you feel about her? How serious are you?” Mr. LeBlanc asked curiously. He wasn’t grilling me; he just wanted to know.
“I am in love with your daughter. I am very serious about her. From the moment we met, I’d been absolutely taken by her, and my feelings for her only continue to grow. Jade is absolutely stunning. I don’t have to tell you that; anyone can see, but beyond that, she has such an open heart, such a zest for life. She loves others wildly and deeply; you should see her with my dad and the others from my tribe. We all love her, and she is already considered one of us.”
“She’s a bit eclectic, too, huh?” Mr. LeBlanc laughed. “Just like her mother.”
“Oh, she’s a weirdo, alright,” I agreed, joining his laughter. “It’s one of her charms. I love everything about her, sir. I will live the rest of my life keeping her safe and happy, I promise you that, sir.”
Jade’s parents smiled and nodded, satisfied with my answers. As if on cue, the doors opened and Seth and Jade stood behind us, fully dressed and ready for the day. “Morning Grandma and grandpa, breakfast is ready,” Seth said excitedly and motioned for us to come inside.
Breakfast was as grand a display as dinner. Piles of blueberry pancakes, eggs, assorted breakfast meats, and fruits covered the table. Jade sat next to Lavender, and I sat next to her. Seth was on the other side of the table, happily sitting between the LeBlancs as they engaged him in conversation.
“Morning alone with my parents, huh? How did that go?” Jade whispered to me as we ate. “Were they nice to you?”
“Your parents are lovely, honey. They were just asking me about my intentions with you. I was honest,” I said, and Jade smiled.
“You’re really lucky, Jacob. We really have such great parents. They already like you a lot, and they trust Jade to make the decisions that are best for her.” Lavender smiled at me, “I approve of you, too. Make no mistake, though. I may not be a witch, but I believe in our Second Amendment right, and I have a lot of land to properly dispose of a body…should I need to. Gotta keep the gators fed, y’know?”
“Duly noted,” I said and gave her the military salute.
Chapter Text
Jade’s POV
We rode together to the museum after breakfast, which lay in the heart of downtown New Orleans. The museum itself was an old house that delved into the history of magic and the famous witches of New Orleans. We had memorabilia, photos, and artifacts displayed throughout the house. We opened for business, and I gave the boys the grand tour, explaining our displays the same way I would for private tours.
We headed up to the second floor of the museum, and I opened a door. “This is the room where my mom does seances, palm readings, and even rituals for others. I use it to do tarot readings as well.”
Seth and Jacob wandered inside, eyeing the shelves of herbs, books, and wet specimens. “No wonder you’re so strange,” Seth said, his eyes wide as he eyed a bottle of rattlesnake venom.
“She gets it from her mama, her dad told me himself,” Jacob said, leafing through a book of post-mortem photos.
“Yes,” I said, ushering them out of the room, and showing them my dad's office which was much more normal by comparison. He had a normal desk with a computer and books on business practices and Louisiana history.
“What do you guys think?” I asked at the end of the tour.
“This place is awesome! Totally creepy, but so cool!” Seth mused.
“It really is, thank you for giving us a tour,” Jake said, pulling me closer to him by the small of my back and kissing me on the lips.
I led them back towards the front of the museum, where Lavender works the front desk/ gift shop. I grabbed two “New Orleans Witch Museum” magnets and gave one to each of the boys.
“REPENT NOW, SINNERS, OR BURN FOR ALL ETERNITY.”
Shrill yelling from outside the museum caught all of our attention, and we peered out the window to see a woman in a gray hooded cloak holding a giant wooden cross in her hands. I looked back at my parents, who were rushing to meet us by the window.
“These religious nuts have got to learn to quit it,” Mr. LeBlanc muttered to himself before opening the door. “Go ahead and get now, before I call the cops!” He threatened the woman.
“REPENT NOW, SINNERS, OR BURN FOR ALL ETERNITY,” The woman repeated. “WITCHES, DEMONS, AND ALL THE UNCLEAN WILL BURN. THE CHURCH OF LIGHT IS COMING TO PURGE THE EARTH OF ALL UNCLEAN ABOMINATIONS.”
Jacob quickly lost his temper and pushed past my father out the door. Seth was following right behind him. Jacob strode across the lawn and stood only a few feet away from the robed woman. I went outside too, staying closer to the building.
“Get the hell out of here before you regret it,” Jacob warned her.
“You can’t just go around threatening to burn people, you psycho!” Seth joined in.
The woman was unmoved by the two boys who towered over her considerably. In a fluid motion, she splattered Jacob and Seth with a clear liquid, and the boys instinctively groaned and rubbed their eyes.
“THE CHURCH OF LIGHT IS COMING. REPENT OR FACE THE FLAMES,” the woman screamed again.
BOOM!
I instinctively ducked and swiveled my neck to find Lavender holding a smoking shotgun. She fired a warning shot into the lawn, near the feet of the woman who had fallen onto her ass in shock. She scrambled onto her feet before running away down the street.
Jacob turned back to me and wrapped me in his arms, “Are you okay?” I nodded against his chest.
“Thanks for defending us, boys,” My father said. “Thanks, Lav.”
“Does this happen often?” Jacob asked seriously.
Mom shook her head, “At most we get the occasional Jehovah's Witness or Mormon."
I could see the look on Jacob’s face and gripped his hand, “Hey, they’re probably harmless.” Even as I said it, I didn’t believe it myself. This so-called “Church of Light” was a problem. Jacob ignored me, his mind already reeling with thoughts of how to protect us. “Babe, calm down.”
He took a deep breath and looked down at me, “Sorry, babe. I don’t take threats lightly. Especially not directed towards you.”
“We have wards on the house and the museum, protection so that nobody intending to do harm can set foot here. We will be okay,” mom assured Jake, but it didn’t help soothe his worries.
“They won’t even get the chance to try it,” Jake promised gravely.

Jacob’s POV
Jade and I sat in Seth’s bed, whispering amongst ourselves while Seth sat in a bean bag on the floor in front of the TV, playing a gaming system that Mrs. Leblanc ordered for him just that day. “Of course I’m going to spoil my grandchildren,” she said when Jade gave her mother a disapproving look. “I’ll do the same when your sister or you get pregnant.”
“Jacob, now isn’t the time to panic,” Jade said in a hushed tone.
“No, it’s not, but did you see her eyes? She was insane, which makes her dangerous. Who knows how many other crazed zealots there are in her cult church?” I rubbed Jade’s thigh slowly as I spoke. “I’m not going to leave your family exposed while there is a threat literally outside your door.”
“So what do you plan to do, babe? Get the whole pack down here? That’s insane when we don’t know what the threat is exactly.”Jade took a deep breath, “And you don’t know my family. Mom is a very powerful witch, and there are others here. I doubt a cult of powerless humans will compare to a coven full of well-practiced witches.”
“Why don’t we do some digging on the church before anything else?” Seth said, eyes set on his new racing game.
“How do you suggest we do that?” I asked.
“Uh…Google?” Seth said with an audible smirk.
Jade pulled out her phone and started typing, “I don’t know, Seth. I doubt a cult would be dumb enough to put their information on the inter… Oh, I stand corrected. They have a website.”
Jade angled her phone so that I could see what she was seeing. “The Church of Light, join the movement to eradicate the ungodly filth that has infiltrated our world,” I read.
“They have online sermons too,” Jade said, playing one of the videos.
Five people were wearing ancient-looking deer bone masks and wearing the same gray robes that the woman from earlier was wearing. The background was black, and it was impossible to distinguish the location of the filming. One sat in the middle of the table, sitting more to the front, likely signaling that this was the leader.
The masked leader began to speak. “Bright morrows, brothers and sisters of the Church of Light,” she started. “These are dark days for the human race. Our homes are being infested by vermin. Blood sucking vermin, shape-shifting vermin, spell-casting vermin, and demon-worshiping vermin. They thought they were living in the shadows, but I see through the veil, oh brothers and sisters. They’ve been here as long as we have, the children of the fallen angels copulating with humans. Monsters and abominations that look like us and talk like us, but are NOT us. It is up to us, those who know the truth, to save humanity. We must cleanse the Earth, baptize it in flames. Be not afraid, for the lord walks with us.”
The video ended, and Seth, who had paused his game and turned his body to listen, wrinkled his nose. “Well, they definitely seem to know who we are.”
“Apparently…” Jade continued to scroll down the page. “Join us, and learn how to become a defender of humanity. The Purge is here.”
“Sounds like they’re planning an organized attack…” I sighed and closed my eyes, racking my brain on what to do. We still didn’t know where they were or how many there would be.
“We should try to contact the tribes down here. The video mentioned shape shifters… so there must be wolves here too. If they are a target, they should know, and maybe they will want to help fight,” Seth suggested. He was full of good ideas tonight.
“Yeah, and I’ll talk to my mom to spread the word to the local covens,” Jade tacked on. “This cult isn’t going to pick us off that easily.”
“And I’ll contact the pack. If we do need their help, then they should be ready,” I concluded.
Seth turned back around to play his game, and Jade and I watched him, trying to remain calm. This was only the beginning.
Chapter Text
Jade’s POV
The next day I sent Seth to spend time with his grandparents and aunt, just to enjoy the day and explore New Orleans. Jake and I took my parent’s Mercedes and took a day trip down to the Gulf to pay a visit to the Tunica-Biloxi Rez there.
We had done some digging and were able to contact the chief, Tony Ahoka. He agreed to host us and the tribe’s council. When we arrived at the outdoor meeting space, Jacob took the lead and I followed. Jacob and I shook hands with the council members and stood before them.
“Thank you for seeing us, council members,” Jacob said to the ten or so councilpeople looking back at us.
“What brings you to our land, cousin?” Chief Ahoka asked in a friendly, but semi-cautious manner.
“Hello, I am Jacob Black, future chief of the Quilliette tribe of La Push, Washington. We come to warn you of a threat that may impact you and your people. This is my partner, Jade. Her family owns a museum in New Orleans and yesterday a woman belonging to a cult called the Church of Light came, threatening to burn us for being “unclean.” Have you ever heard of this church?” Jacob spoke so eloquently and powerfully, I knew he would be a great leader one day.
“No, cousin, we have never heard of this church, but what does this have to do with us?” Chief Ahoka asked curiously.
“The church has promised to purge unclean abominations with fire. They are targeting witches, vampires and shapeshifters. I come to your council from one tribesman to another. The Quilliette have legends of shapeshifters…men that shift into wolves. I know that we would be a target of the cult if we were here, and I figured the right thing to do is share our knowledge.”
The council shared glances with each other but gave nothing away.
“Legends are legends… but IF the legends held any truth…then the shapeshifters should have nothing to fear from religious zealots.” The chief almost looked bored now. “But you came here for a reason. So tell me, future chief… what is it that you want to know?”
“Legends are legends,” Jacob agreed, “But if the legends held any truth then would the Tunica-Biloxi fight with us to nullify the threat?”
“Again, what is there to fear?”
“Perhaps there is no threat and I am being over protective of my girlfriend and her family. But I do tend to side on the air of caution. And with my tribe so far away, I figured it would be nice to have support from the tribe from these lands.”
“I think this conversation would be best continued in private. Let’s take a walk, perhaps and discuss what type of support would be most appropriate.” Chief Ahoka turned to his council members and spoke to them quietly.
I grabbed Jake’s hand, “I’ll go wait in the car or find something to do while you chat. Call me when you’re done, babe.”
The chief stood up and motioned for Jacob to join him. I watched them disappear down the path towards the woods.
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
Chief Ahoka and I hiked for a while, straying from the trail and then going deeper into the forest. I told him about the Quilliette legends as we walked, and the chief listened intently.
“We have very similar legends. I wasn’t sure if other tribes had similar stories, but if a tribe all the way in Washington has these stories, others must as well.” Chief Ahoka looked lost in thought when he stopped and looked me in the eye.
“Colonizers on our land affected us all, and our ancestors gave us a way to defend ourselves.”
“I’m tired of talking in riddles. Tell me, future chief… Do your legends hold truth?”
I nodded, “They do.”
“Then prove it,” he said, leaning against the trunk of a tree and crossing his arms.
I considered for a moment if this was a good idea, but decided that if we were to become allies, that I needed to do this. I stripped and phased.
Chief Ahoka’s face lit up and he walked a circle around me, taking it all in. “Amazing. A wolf?” He said something in his native language that I couldn’t understand. I let him look at me as long as I wanted to before phasing back.
“And you?” I prompted him as I redressed.
The chief smiled and stripped, phasing himself. In the blink of an eye, a huge black bear stood before me. “Whoa,” I breathed with wide eyes. He stood on his back legs and towered over me and I looked up at him in awe. “This is so fucking cool!”
The chief phased back, still smiling. “Same but different, eh? Why are you worried, Wolf? You could take down an entire cult by yourself, I’m sure.”
“Typically, yes,” I agreed. “But something about them seems off. I don’t know how they know so much and they seem so confident that they can destroy us. Any normal person would know they were no match for a vamp or a wolf, er, shapeshifter. Why do they feel so sure of themselves?”
“Religious psychosis?” The chief suggested.
“No, it’s deeper than that, and I want to get to the bottom of it. I don’t want to underestimate them and leave my girlfriend's family vulnerable.”
“And your girlfriend is a..”
“A witch. She may be magical, but she is still mortal. I want to protect her and I’m not sure if I can do it myself.”
The chief nodded, “well it sounds like the first thing we need to find out is how serious a threat they really are. I’ll help you, Wolf. I understand the need to protect those you love, and we are cousins, afterall.”

Jade’s POV
I was going to head to my car and find a coffee shop to sit at while I waited for Jacob, but a woman from the council waved me down before I could leave. She was absolutely stunning and graceful as she approached me, her hip-length hair swaying behind her as she walked.
“H-Hey,” I stammered, dazzled by her beauty.
“Hey, I’m Lisbeth Ahoka, the chief’s wife. Do you want to come inside while you wait? I can make you some coffee or lunch, if you’d like?” She suggested, motioning to a small red house a bit down the road.
I nodded, “Sure, thanks so much for the offer.”
“It’s no worry, I love hosting.” We walked together, her friendly energy putting me at ease. She let me into the home, and four boys, close to my age, were sitting in the living room, boisterously watching a football game. Their heads all turned when they heard the door open.
“Liz!” They shouted and greeted her happily.
She smiled and waved at them, leading me back to the kitchen. “Sorry about the crowd, I always have a home full of hungry boys these days.”
I waved off her concern, “I know the feeling,” I laughed. “It’s the exact same for us back on the La Push rez.”
“You’re going to be the wife of a chief one day, too, I assume. Get used to a lot of company,” Lisbeth said, putting on a pot of fresh coffee. As it brewed, she grabbed a pack of sodas from the fridge and walked it out to the boys. “I love it though, it makes me happy to care for them and give them a place where they always feel welcomed and safe.”
“It’s so fun, I agree. Good energy all around. I hang out with Emily and help cook for the boys. They’re bottomless pits.”
“Tell me about it,” Lisbeth laughed, shaking her head with a smile. “So how did you end up with a native boy from Washington? You sound like a local.”
“I am a local. I was travelling and spent a night at their rez when I met Jacob. We have been together since then, actually. We are here visiting my parents.”
“What a love story. He seems very protective of you,” she observed.
“I’ve actually never seen him like this before,” I admitted. “I love it, if I'm being honest. Guess that comes with the territory when someone imprints.” I watched Lisbeth’s expression for a reaction, but there was none.
“You’re lucky to have someone to protect you and love you,” She said, pouring the coffee into a mug.
“What about the chief?” I probed.
“What about him?” She asked.
“Is he protective of you?” I clarified.
“He is, but he also believes in my strength. He gives me the space to be strong on my own as well.” She motioned for me to sit at the table, and she sat across from me, watching me sip my coffee.
“That’s really important too, I love that. You make a very attractive couple,” I complimented them honestly.
Lisbeth’s cheeks flushed a bit, and she smiled, “You and Jacob as well. You’re both lovely.” She cleared her throat, “So, are you very concerned about this church?”
I sighed and shrugged my shoulders, “The encounter we had was weird, but what we found online was concerning. I have an inclination that this goes deeper than what’s on the surface, though.”
She nodded, “I’m sure our husbands will talk things through and figure out a plan to assist you.”
“Would you be concerned if they came to attack your tribe?” I asked.
“Only for the safety of the attackers,” She laughed. “Did you see my boys? I would love to see anyone try them.”
The boys outside really reminded me of the Quillette pack. Tall, muscular, and boisterous. “How many…boys are there on this rez?”
Lisbeth cocked her head to the side and smiled slyly. “Enough,” she said simply.
“You’re very good at keeping your secrets,” I said and laughed at Lisbeth’s friendly but guarded nature.
“You learn a thing or two when you’re married to a chief,” she winked at me.
I heard the front door open, and the boys began whooping loudly. “Hey, boys, this is Jacob. Our cousin from up north.” I heard the boys greet Jacob excitedly. “He’s family and I expect you to cooperate with him and his woman if need be.”
“Family, eh?” Lisbeth said, standing up. We both went into the living room to meet our partners, and I went over to Jacob, wrapping my arms around his waist.
“Wolves?” I whispered.
Jake shook his head, “Bears, actually.”
I raised my eyebrows but nodded. “How interesting,” I breathed.
We stayed a while and chatted with the cousins for a while, comparing the powers of the packs. They also have pack mind and accelerated healing. They run hot and imprint as well. It seemed like the main difference was the animal they phased into.
“And the wolf tells me that you’re a witch?” Chief Ahoka asked.
I nodded, “Wanna see a magic trick?” There was a glass of water on the table, and I focused on it and manipulated my fingers, guiding some water up out of the glass and into my mouth. The boys all whooped and cheered for my small display.
“What else can you do?” One of the boys, Gabe, asked.
I shrugged, “Um, well, element manipulation is my strongest gift, as well as the guidance of my intuition. I also read tarot cards. I still have a lot to learn. My mother is a really talented medium, and I know other witches who can astral project at will and another who can do really impressive telekinesis." The pack was extremely impressed.
“So is your shapeshifting triggered by bloodsuckers, too?” Jake asked.
“Louisiana is a strange place,” Lisbeth said. “We have all manner of creatures about. Vampires included.”
“Vamps are an open secret here. It’s not really surprising that there’s a group dedicated to fighting the monsters here,” the chief added.
“Yeah, but none of the monsters have anything on us,” the boy named Zeke said cockily. “We will tear anyone who steps to us to shreds.”
We left late into the evening, thanking the pack for their hospitality and for their promise to assist us if we called on them. I called Seth as Jake drove us home.
“Hey, Mom,” Seth said, his mouth clearly full of food.
“Hey, my love. What are you doing?” I asked.
“Aunt Lav took me to a seafood boil place downtown. And when we were walking here, I found something interesting.” I could hear him cracking shells as he spoke.
“Oh?” I asked.
“Yeah, there’s this big catholic church not far from here. As we were passing, I could smell a burning smell coming from the woods behind the church.”
“Burning?”
“Aunt Lav couldn’t smell it, but my wolf nose picked it up. It smelled like it burned a few days ago, maybe, but they were definitely burning something humanoid.”
“You didn’t go near it, did you?” I asked.
“No, mom, I wouldn’t go alone,” Seth almost sounded annoyed that I would assume he would do something so reckless.
“Sorry, I know you’re a smart baby,” I apologized. “Can I talk to Lavender, please?”
He passed the phone. “Hey, sis,” Lavender said, her mouth also full of food.
“Lav, did you tell Mom about the church yet?” I asked, getting right to the point.
“Yeah, she and one of her coven-mates plan to go check it out on Sunday. Don’t stress, Jade. Get home safely.” She hung up the phone.
“You get all that?” I asked Jake, and he nodded.
“Mama’s gonna infiltrate the enemy’s lair. Nothing to worry about there,” he said sarcastically.
“I’ve never seen you so protective and worried,” I said, gripping his hand.
“Super sexy of me, huh?” He chuckled wryly.
“Well, kinda,” I admitted. “I like feeling so cared for. But I also don’t want you to worry yourself sick about us.”
“Well, I love you. I love your family. I’m not going to rest until I know you’re safe.”
I slid across the seat and kissed his neck, “Can you rest, just a little bit?”
He sighed under my touch, “As much as I love it when you kiss me there, no.”
I licked him from his collarbone up to his jaw, “Not even the tiniest bit?”
Jacob groaned and pulled the car over to the side of the road.
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
For the next few days, Jade forced Seth and me to have a normal vacation. She insisted that there was no need to stress about the cult until Mama LeBlanc and her coven went to investigate the church.
She and Seth continued their routine of morning meditation. She even got us to join her and Lavender in a yoga class. It was really sweet seeing Seth bond with the family, and he seemed much more at peace than I’d ever seen him. Jade’s parents tried to convince Seth that he should plan ahead a bit and come down to Louisiana for college, and a light lit up behind his eyes. I don’t think Seth had even considered college to be in his future at all, but now it seemed in reach.
We took family day trips into the city and enjoyed touring the fun and historic sides of New Orleans. When we went to the grave of Marie Lavou, Jade’s mom made an offering to the witch and fell into a type of trance as she visited her spirit.
Tony and Lisbeth invited Jade, Seth, and me to a bonfire night on the beach, and it reminded us so much of our hangouts at LaPush beach. The bears were extremely welcoming, and Lisbeth and Jade seemed to be getting along very well. Jade spent the night dancing by firelight and entertaining the bears with her fire manipulation, which seemed to be her strongest element. At some point, Lisbeth and Jade were sitting alone by the fire, giggling together and sitting closely while the boys played a soccer game.
All of these things were nice and I enjoyed them, but the underlying sense of anxiety never left the pit of my stomach. I wanted nothing more than to sink my claws into those cloaked zealots and tear them limb from limb for threatening my family.
Sunday morning finally came, and Mama LeBlanc’s covenmate came over bright and early. He was a man who looked extremely normal, like he worked at the bank or something. Groomed blond hair and a suit perfect for church, a nice white smile. He opened the door on his own, and Lavender and Jade pushed past me, excitedly hugging him. “Uncle Todd!” They screamed, smiling and giggling like children.
Uncle Todd snapped his fingers, and two bouquets of roses appeared in his hands, and the girls took them, kissing his cheek and ushering him into the house.
“Hello, young man,” he said, acknowledging me for the first time. He reached his hand out to shake mine hand and I noticed his fingernails were painted black. I took his hand and shook it, “You must be the son-in-law that I’ve heard so much about. Dana couldn’t stop raving about how handsome and charming you are. I see she wasn’t wrong,” he said with a wink.
“That’s too sweet,” I said, the realization of Todd’s homosexuality hitting me. “I’m extremely lucky to be so well received by the LeBlanc family.”
“You are lucky, but fuck with my niece and I’ll put a curse on you so potent that your bloodline will feel it for the next dozen or so generations,” Uncle Todd smiled politely as he spoke, but the threat was full of venom.
“I would never hurt, Jade, don’t you worry about that,” I promised solemnly.
“I sense that from you,” He nodded before turning back to Jade and Lavender. “Where is your mother, children?”
“Upstairs,” Lavender answered. “She’s cleansing and protecting herself before you go. You can go up.” Uncle Todd thanked the girls before heading upstairs.
“In fact, I want to go pray and offer my own protection to them.” Jade followed Uncle Todd up, wrapping his arms around his waist as he went.
Lavender smiled at me and motioned for me to follow her, and she led me out the back door. “I guess you and I haven’t had our one-on-one time yet, huh?”
I thought back to the last week of our trip, and it was true, Lavender and I hadn’t had any time to talk solo. “No time like the present, huh?”
“No time like the present.” Lavender repeated with a smile. We headed out past the lawn and towards the edge of the swamp. “You make my sister very happy, Jacob. Thank you for loving her the way she deserves to be loved.”
“I should be the one thanking her, for real. She is so easy to love,” I responded.
“I wanted to give you something,” Lav reached into her pocket, and when she took it out, her fist was clenched.
“If it’s a knuckle sandwich, then I must warn you that punching my face is like punching a brick wall,” I said, playfully flinching away from her.
“No, dummy,” she laughed and opened her hand. It was a beautiful diamond ring
That looked classic and extremely, extremely expensive.
I looked back up at Lavender’s expectant face, “Uh, no thanks, I’m taken.” I joked with her to avoid taking the ring. It looked almost too fancy to be touched by me.
“Jake…” Lav said in a warning tone.
“Why are you giving me this?” I asked. “And where did you get that rock from?”
“I swiped it off my grandmother at her funeral. Jade and I always admired it growing up, so much so that Jade and I conducted a heist one time and slid it off of our grandma’s finger when she was asleep one time. It was Jade’s idea, of course. Grandma woke up mid-heist and beat us silly,” Jade reminisced with a laugh. “I knew that I would take the ring when Grandma died, and give it to the man Jade would marry one day. To this day, you and I are the only people who know I have this.”
I sighed and took the ring and hugged Lavender, “Thank you. Has Jade said anything about us getting married?”
Lavender rolled her eyes, “She’s my sister, man. As if I would tell you anything, my sister has told me in confidence.”
I laughed, fair enough.

Jade’s POV
I spent hours in my room praying and sending protective energy to my mother and uncle. At some point, Seth came to find me and joined me in my meditation and chanting.
Finally, the front door opened, and my mother and uncle burst into the house. “Family, come to the living room!” Mom called, and Seth and I rushed downstairs.
Mom and Uncle Todd looked pale and sickly, as if they had suddenly come down with the flu. Jacob, Seth, my dad, and Lavender were already in the living room. My sister and father gripped my mother and uncle, holding them steady and sitting them on the couch. “Bring them some water,” Dad said to Lav, and she turned to leave, but Mom gripped her arm.
“No, sit first. Listen,” Mom drew in a shaky breath and jumped into her story. “This cult, the Church of Light, is extremely dangerous. Todd and I walked into the church, and the air immediately felt heavy. I knew there were dark forces at work. We went in for the sermon, and these crazy religious people were chanting, worshipping “god” and asking him for the power to strike down their enemies one by one. Their leader claims to have direct communication with God, and she has told him all of the secrets of our world. She said she would demonstrate the lord's might, and they brought out a woman, a vampire woman, and they ripped her apart limb by limb and burned her… her screams…”
“That’s not possible. No human can overpower a vampire,” Jacob said, utter confusion written all over his face. “How could they-”
“Their god is a trickster spirit,” Uncle Todd took over explaining, “ A demon who feeds on chaos and destruction. This spirit is very old and very malevolent. He gifted this leader his own blood, which, when used to anoint, can harm a vampire, or wolf, and overpower the abilities of a witch.”
“Great, now we have to fight a god?” Seth cried, exasperated.
“Essentially. And to make things worse, the council drank the blood. I’m not sure what the effect of the god’s blood has had on them…but it can’t be good,” Mom said. “The coven and I will be doing some research, and we must be ready to face this threat.” Mom stood up and motioned for my hand, “Jade, the sooner we begin, the more prepared we will be for their attack.”
I followed my mom and Uncle Todd out the door, and Jacob followed closely on my heels. “Babe, stay here, call the chief and Sam, get everyone here quickly. I’ll be home soon,” I promised him.
“I do not feel comfortable leaving you alone, Jade. I’ve seen some crazy shit, babe. This is by far the craziest,” Jake said, wrapping a protective arm around my waist.
“Sweet boy, I swear to you that I’ll be back. Get the packs here, that’s the best help right now.” I stood on my toes and kissed Jacob passionately.
He kissed me back but gave me a wary look when we broke apart, “I can’t leave you alone.”
“Babe, this is witch business. Do the wolf thing, I’ll be okay. I love you.”
“I love you more, honey. I’ll get the packs here, but I’ll come to meet you soon. I’ll at least keep watch outside, please.” Jacob’s eyes were wild and desperate, so I nodded before kissing him again and joining my mother and uncle in his hearse.
The coven was already in Todd’s home, all ten of them, witches of different ages and abilities, awaiting our arrival. My mother and Todd relayed their story, and I told everyone that I had two packs of shapeshifters who would be fighting alongside us in this upcoming war.
“They drank the blood of a god?” Nessa, a necromancer, asked with wide eyes.
“Yes, what do you know of this?” Todd asked.
“Only legends,” she said, shaking her head. “Some legends say that drinking the ichor of a god will instantly kill you; some say it fills you with immeasurable power. Seeing as these cultists are not dead, it’s safe to assume the latter.”
“Fuck,” mom breathed. “How can we defeat these foes?” Mom asked her.
Nessa was silent.
“And how do we defeat a god? Especially one as bloodthirsty as this one?” Mom continued.
“Binding, it’s the only way,” Jeremy, a witch deeply into deity worship, said. “Unless we can get a titan or an opposing god to fight on our behalf.”
“We bind him then,” Mom agreed.
“But…it isn’t so simple,” he said gravely. “Binding a god isn’t as simple as banishing a normal household haunt. It requires a sacrifice. Something or someone to bind it to.”
The room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.
“We must do what we must do. If it’s the only way, so be it.”
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
I called Chief Ahoka first, relaying the information that Mama LeBlanc had given us. “It’s way worse than we expected… We are on the way.”
I called Sam next, filling him in on everything. He promised to tell the pack straight away, but he couldn’t send everyone and leave LaPush unprotected. “It’ll take a day or two for them to arrive on foot,” he warned. “Stay safe until then.”
“We have the support of the local tribe as well. We will be okay,” I promised Sam, and I hung up.
The bears were at the LeBlanc home within the hour. Chief Ahoka shook my hand, grabbing me by the forearm when we met. “I sent a few of the boys scanning the perimeter of the house, just in case. What else do you need from us?”
“I need to go meet Jade, and I guess we need someone watching the church, too,” I said.
“Then let’s go to Jade together,” he suggested. “I need the location of the church, and I’ll have a few of my boys head out there.”
I nodded, and Seth told him where the church was. Two of the bears took off into the swamp, heading that way. Chief Ahoka, Seth, and I headed to Jade, following her scent.
When we arrived, Jade and the coven were coming out, solemn looks on their faces. I could see her glance towards the forest line, and though she couldn’t see me, she definitely sensed me. She said something to her mother and then jogged towards the trees.
“Jake?” she called, and I gave a small bark to let her know I was there. She followed the sound and met me deeper in the trees. “Hi, honey. Chief?” the bear next to me nodded. “Guys, shit is intense. We are going to the church now. Meet us there.” Jade placed her hands in my fur and placed her nose on my muzzle before turning to return to the coven.
Chapter Text
Jade’sPOV
The church was empty when we arrived. There were absolutely no sounds coming from inside and Jake nodded at me from the treeline, letting her know the coast was clear. Jade’s uncle busted the lock of the church and the group filed in.
Jade’s POV
We went into the sanctuary of the church. Mom and Uncle Todd were right. Even empty, the energy in the church was heavy. Suffocating, even.
Mom and Uncle Todd went up to the front of the church where a sacrificial pillar sat in front of the chairs that the council uses when hosting sermons. They laid candles around the perimeter of the pillar and mom looked at me. I waved my arms, and lit the candles from where I stood.
“We can begin,” Uncle Todd said.
My stomach lurched and I did what I was meant to. I walked up to the front of the church and faced the pillar. During our discussion at the house, we decided that if we were going to bind this malevolent god to someone, it should be someone with a pure heart and great control of their power of protection, to hopefully counteract the darkness of the deity. I had been chosen to carry the burden. Mom protested, but the coven voted and I graciously agreed.
I stepped up onto the pillar and laid on my back, closing my eyes. My mom placed her hand on my forehead, whispering a prayer over me. When she pulled away, she began chanting in a loud voice.
“We summon you, dark lord! Come now before us, with harm to none.” We all repeated after her. “Come dark lord, into our midst and make yourself known!” We repeated after her again. “Enter and arise!” She yelled and the candles blew out and the room turned cold. He was here.
“Who are you, dark lord? What is your name?” Mom asked no one in particular.
“A vyrkolakas…” Nessa said, her eyes rolled back from channeling. “Todd, we need to bind him quickly.”
Uncle Todd drew a knife from his hands and sliced my palm. He placed my bleeding hand onto my forehead, covering my third eye. “We bind you now, dark lord. We take your ability to harm others forever more.” The coven all joined in the chant and I began to feel a burning sensation in my nose and mouth, running down into my throat and filling my chest and belly. The coven continued chanting, and I began feeling their hands all over my body, sending their intentions and magic directly into my skin. It felt like hot ice spreading all over my body. Everything hurt and I began to scream, hot tears pouring out of my eyes, but they persisted. “We bind you now, dark lord. We take your ability to harm others forever more.”
The pain reached a precipice and my body convulsed, the pain causing me to involuntarily writhe on the table until I couldn't stand it anymore and everything went black.
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
Bloodsuckers, Seth and I thought at the same time as we caught a whiff coming from deeper in the woods. There was no telepathy between the wolves and bears, but I could tell that he smelled it too. We all began sprinting towards the scent and found ourselves in a clearing in the woods.
There, in the middle of the clearing, stood the robed leaders in their bone masks. They were standing around a blazing bonfire, their arms outstretched with upturned palms as if in the middle of worship. Dozens of robed followers sat on their knees, encircling the flames and their leaders. The smell of humans, vampires, and smoke filled the air, making it impossible to distinguish who was who or how many vampires exactly were here.
The heads of the leaders all turned to look at the three of us, and we snarled and bared our teeth at them. “Behold! The shapeshifting abominations have come, as we told you they would. Stand now, and fight!” the head of the cult shouted.
Find the vampires! I told Seth as the cultists stood and dashed for us.
But who is who? Seth asked, beginning to dodge the cultists' attacks.
Look how they’re moving. These are all humans, I noted as the speed of the cultists was distinctly human. Slow. I easily dodged all of the humans shot towards the leaders near the fire, lunging for the head’s arm. She dodged my attack, jumping to the side with inhuman speed.
Bingo.
The leaders are vampires, Seth.
But that doesn’t make any sense. They also want to kill vampires.
Let’s not try to make sense of this nonsense. Kill them.
The chief had the same idea, lunging for the masked cultists. He managed to knock one over and pulled on his leg, yanking it free of his body, and tossed it into the fire. As he was on the ground trying to get free of the bear’s grip, his mask fell off his face, exposing his red eyes.
Another one of the leaders tried jumping on top of the chief’s back, but Seth intercepted him and crunched his skull in his jaw.
The human cultists continued trying to attack us, but to no avail; their bodies became more of a hindrance to our fight than anything else. I began wondering if this was the point. To instill chaos.
Tony finished off the vamp, mauling him to shreds, but suddenly seemed distracted by something in the distance. I focused in the same direction just in time to see five more vampires in red robes coming out into the clearing.
You have got to be shitting me.
The vampire in the middle seemed amused, sporting an eerie smile, but the others seemed pissed. Seth immediately charged them but was stopped in his tracks, crumpling to the floor and yelping in pain. “We do not quarrel with you, animals. Stand down, or we will be forced to kill you,” the one girl from the group said.
Some of the humans tried attacking the newcomer vampires, but were torn apart and discarded quickly. Chief Ahoka and I stood beside Seth, and we watched them cautiously.
The forest stood still as the new vampires walked towards the flames, approaching the cult leaders. “Ah, newborns,” the leader of the newcomers greeted them theatrically. “Have you any idea who we are?”
“Have you any idea who we are? We are your reckoning,” one of the leaders said.
The newcomer vampires laughed. “Our reckoning? Do explain.”
“God has shown us the truth and hath given us his holy blood so that we can destroy abominations like you,” the leader of the cult shouted defiantly.
“Abominations like us, you mean,” the leader of the newcomers said. He turned to his companions. “An original vampire, turned by the blood of a vrykolakas. How interesting.” He then turned back to the cultists. “No matter, the fact remains that we have laws…very strict laws…and you’ve broken them. Exposing the existence of vampires to mortals is a huge no-no. Of course, you had no way of knowing that the Volturi and our laws even exist. Nonetheless, laws were broken, and penance must be paid.”
“Penance?” The cult leader asked with a laugh. Before she could even finish her sentence, the Volturi attacked the cult leaders, ripping them apart and throwing their dismembered bodies into the flames.
The human cultists panicked and began scattering into the woods, trying to escape the Volturi. One of the Volturi turned to the three of us shapeshifters, “Leave now, we have to clean the mess here, and you don’t want to be caught up in the crossfire.”
Seth growled at him. I silenced him with a growl. We left back towards the church, screams filling the air behind us.

Jade’s POV
I felt icy coldness envelop my body, and my eyes shot open. Strong hands held my shoulders, stabilizing me, and I frantically looked around, gaining back my bearings. I was in my bathroom, sitting naked in the tub, ice water filled up to my neck.
Jacob was behind me, his face painted with relief, but worry still hid behind his eyes. “Welcome back to the land of the living.”
“Jake,” I gasped, turning around to throw my arms around his neck.
“Hi, honey. How are you feeling?” he asked, pulling back to look at me.
How did I feel? I took a second to check in with myself. The pain I felt earlier while having the vrykolakas bound to me had all but faded. There was a faint throbbing in my heart. ”I’m okay. How are you, baby? And where’s Seth?”
“I’m okay, Seth is okay. The bears are all safe, and the cult won’t be a problem anymore.” Jake filled me in about what happened with the cult and the Vultori in the woods. “And your mom told me about what happened in the church. Jade, I can’t believe you did something so reckless.”
I looked at him apologetically. “I’m sorry. I didn’t want you to worry.”
“Yeah, well, I’m worried. You have some kind of demon-god thing living in you know… why would you agree to that, babe?”
“To keep everyone safe,” I said. I stood up, and Jacob helped me out of the tub. “I’ll be fine as long as I keep up my protections, I promise.”
“You don’t know that. You hope, but we can’t be sure.”
“I know,” I lied, unsuccessfully trying to calm his anxieties.
I got dressed in leggings and a T-shirt before turning back to Jacob. “I’m glad you’re safe. Thank you for everything, babe.”
He hugged me back tightly, swaying us slightly, ”I’m so glad you’re safe. Well, mostly. Let’s go meet the fam?”
We headed downstairs, where Mom, Dad, Lavender, Seth, and the Ahokas were waiting. “Mom!” Seth yelled, running up to me and hugging me. I hugged him back, kissing the top of his head. Mom and Dad came up and joined the hug.
“Mom told me what happened. Are you okay?” Lavender asked, taking my hand and observing the fresh gash in my palm.
I nodded and then turned to Lisbeth and the chief. I opened my arms and hugged them both, “I can’t thank you enough for your help.”
“You’re family, no thanks are required,” Tony said with a kind smile.
“Unless you want to give us a call and buy us a drink before you leave New Orleans,” Lisbeth winked at me.
“We hadn’t had a proper night out since arriving. Let’s do that soon.” I hugged Lisbeth one more time, and they bid the family goodnight, leaving to return to their reservation.
Mom turned to me once the door closed, “We had quite the night, huh? Let’s all get some rest and talk in the morning.”
We all went to our rooms, and Jacob and I followed Seth to his room. I lay in his bed next to Seth, and Jake sat next to his feet. “How are you doing, my love? This isn’t what I thought we would be doing when I agreed to bring you here. I’m sorry.”
“What is there to be sorry about? I’ve had more fun this summer than anyone else back on the rez,” Seth beamed.
I smiled at him and kissed his cheek, “I’m glad you managed to enjoy this vacation, precious boy.”
“He’s a tough one,” Jake laughed.
“The toughest in the pack. Did you see how I ripped that vamp's head off?” Seth laughed.
“Slay, Seth,” I laughed, standing up to leave. “I love you, honey,” I said at the door.
“I love you, Mom. Love you, Jake.”
“Love you, kid.”

I realize the conflict turned into a Skyrim Daedric quest lmao. I hope you all enjoyed it, though!
Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
We spent the next few days in a lazy stupor, recuperating from the events of Sunday night. Every morning, Jade’s mother ran her an herbal bath surrounded by candles and recited incantations over her, helping to heal her body and keep the demon at bay. Jade seemed to be completely normal for now, only complaining about the pain from her cut and a pain in her chest.
The coven came by at some point on Monday. We all sat together in the living room, and Nessa explained to us what the fuck a vylkolakas even was. What they thought was a trickster god was actually a lesser, but still very powerful, ancient being. Apparently, they are spirits from the Hell realm and are the ancestors of Earthside vampires. Drinking their blood created the first vampires, while vylkolakas are said to eat human flesh. Nobody was sure how having it bound to Jade would affect her, but so far, things seemed calm.
The wolves arrived sometime in the late afternoon. Quill and Embry seemed disappointed that they missed a good fight. They stayed for a day, resting and eating the LeBlancs out of house and home, and then headed back up to Washington on Wednesday morning.
Wednesday night, Jade and I went to meet Tony and Lisbeth for those drinks we promised them. Jade wore a sexy little black dress and cute boots. Her makeup was stunning, sporting a deep red lip and sharp winged liner. She gifted me a new outfit: some dark blue slacks, a sleek black button-down shirt, and new leather shoes. We looked in the mirror before we left. “Damn, we look hot,” I said, kissing the top of her head.
“Smokin’,” she agreed.
We Ubered to the drinking street where Tony and Lisbeth were already waiting for us. Tony was wearing dark jeans and a white button-down down, and Lisbeth was wearing a tight, low-cut red top and low-rise jeans with a thick brown belt with a bear buckle. We all hugged when we met, Lisbeth and Jade squealing and gushing over how great the other looked. To be fair, they were right. They both were absolutely stunning women on a regular day, and done up this way were like goddesses among men.
We entered the nearly empty bar and easily found seats at the bar, men on the outside and the women sitting sandwiched between us. “Shots first?” Lisbeth asked. We all nodded and started the night off with a round of tequila shots.
No normal night starts with tequila shots, right?
We then ordered drinks. Tony and I got a bottle of beer, and the ladies opted for cocktails. They were huge when they came out. Jade’s was blue and Lisbeth’s was green. We cheersed and sipped our drinks, chatting about anything and everything except Sunday night. This was a night to cut loose and enjoy with friends.
The music in the bar was loud and high energy, and Lisbeth took Jade’s hand and brought her to the small dance floor. Onlookers whooped and cheered as Lisbeth took the lead, putting her hand on the small of Jade’s back and pulling her close to her. Jade put her arms around Lisbeth’s neck as they pressed their bodies together and swayed to the music. They locked eyes as they danced and
Tony scooted over to sit on the barstool next to me, “They’ve taken quite a liking to each other, huh?”
“I guess so, it’s nice,” I said, taking another drink.
“Yeah, they’re so beautiful,” Tony said, holding out his beer to me, “To our beautiful women.”
We cheered again, and I polished off my beer. “Shall we join them?”
We headed out to the dance floor, going up behind our girls, doing a type of four-person dance for a while. Jade spun around and kissed me, our bodies still moving to the rhythm. She tasted like white rum. “Oh, babe, that drink was strong, huh?”
She smiled and nodded, “Good, right?” She slipped her tongue back into my mouth. It was really good.
Tony and Lisbeth were smirking, watching us, and Lisbeth winked in our direction. "Delicious,” she said devilishly.
Tony reached his hand out towards Jade as the next song started playing, “Wanna dance, wolf girl?”
Jade took his hand, and he spun her into him. Lisbeth took Jade’s place in my arms, and we effortlessly began moving our bodies to the music. Her arms slipped around my hips. “You’re a really good dancer, Jacob,” she commented. She spun around, pressing her ass against my pelvis and leaning back into me, using my neck as support as she continued dancing. I looked over at Jade for confirmation that this was okay, and she smiled at me.
Okay, then.
I placed my hands on her stomach, pulling her closer to me as we danced. She had such a nice body, and her moves were tantalizing. Jade found her way over to us and pressed herself against Jade again, wrapping her arms around Jade’s waist and joining our dance. I reached around her and placed one hand on her ass, keeping the other on Lisbeth’s belly.
Tony nodded at me before heading back to the bar. He watched the three of us dance as he ordered more shots and another beer. I was acutely aware of how sexily we were dancing and was a bit scared of offending Tony, but the fear was overridden by my arousal. The smell of Lisbeth and Jade filled my nose, and I could smell that they were both becoming aroused, too.
The two women gazed into each other’s eyes as their bodies moved against each other and against me when Lisbeth placed her hands in Jade’s hair. She rolled her head, almost testing how obedient her body responded to her, and then kissed her on the lips. I paused, but as quickly as their lips touched, it was already over.
Tony waved us over to take another shot. He clapped me on the back when I sat down, and we took another shot.

Jade’s POV
By the end of the night, it was 3 am, and we were all sloshed. Lisbeth and I walked out with our arms wrapped around each other, loudly singing off-key. The boys trailed behind us, laughing at our antics.
Lisbeth stopped walking at the end of the road, “This is us, babes.”
I looked up and saw the hotel we were stopped in front of. “Aw nooo,” I whined drunkenly. “Don’t go, yet, please.”
“It’s so late, Jade,” Jacob said, draping his arm around my shoulder. “Let them get some rest, honey.”
“Nooooo,” I cried, wrapping my arms around Lisbeth’s neck and squeezing her to me tightly.
Lisbeth and Tony laughed. “Okay, walk us to our room then,” Tony suggested, and we went inside. I didn’t let Lisbeth go until we were in front of their door. Tony used the key card to open the door, and we filed inside the tiny room. Tony handed Jacob a bottle of water and took one for himself. Jacob opened it and tried getting me to drink, but I moved my head away.
“Jade…” He said sternly. “Drink some water, love.”
“No,” I wailed and lay in the bed, covering my face with a pillow.
Tony and Lisbeth laughed again, and Lisbeth sat next to me, “You’re being too cute right now. Drink some water so you don’t feel too crappy in the morning.”
I kept my head hidden in the pillow and ignored her.
Tony sat next to me, his weight shifting my body, and he leaned against the headboard. He opened his water and drank it loudly, “Yum, this water is so refreshing.” I giggled at his attempts and moved the pillow off my face. “You gonna drink some water?”
“No, thanks,” I said.
“Who knew you were such a brat, huh?” Lisbeth laughed, leaning against Tony and placing her hand on Jade’s cheek.
I sat by Jade’s feet and rubbed her legs, “She usually isn’t.”
“The power of tequila,” Tony laughed. He held the water bottle against Lisbeth’s lips, and she drank. It was almost too sensual, and I blushed, looking away. “Want some?” He asked. I nodded, and he held the water bottle to my lips, and I drank the rest of the bottle. “Good girl.”
The mood of the room shifted; lust was practically dripping from the ceiling. Lisbeth looked down at me, biting her lips, and Tony gripped her neck, leaning her head back to kiss her. Jacob, who was still rubbing my legs, watched them kiss, his strokes becoming slower and reaching up my leg. I ran my fingers up his arm and pulled him on top of me, our lips meeting in a feverish kiss.
I lifted a leg, planting my foot into the mattress, allowing Jacob to fit his hips into mine. He ground into me as I took his tongue into my mouth, tasting the tequila and beer from earlier. He hummed into my mouth, his arousal rising. He put his hands under me and flipped us so that I was on top. I straddled him, pressing down on top of him as Lisbeth and Tony also repositioned so that she was straddling him as well. I leaned down to kiss Jacob, and Tony was sitting up, propped on his shoulders as they made out.
Without breaking from their kiss, Lisbeth reached over and undid my zipper, exposing my back. Jacob smiled under my lips, “You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, you?” I asked between kisses.
He nodded and slid my dress down, exposing my bare chest. Tony had his eyes open, watching me with wide eyes as Lisbeth kissed his neck. I put my fingers in Lisbeth’s hair, pulling her off of Tony, and brought her lips to mine. I kissed her deeply, and Jacob sat up, kissing down my neck and latching onto my nipple.
We broke the kiss, and Tony lifted his wife’s shirt off and unclasped her bra. Her full, heavy breasts looked amazing, and I reached a hand out to cup them. I leaned in and licked her nipple, looking up as her head rolled back from the sensation.
Jacob unbuttoned his own shirt while I licked and sucked Lisbeth’s nipples and managed to take off his pants. Lisbeth ran her hand over Jake’s chest and leaned over to kiss him. I took the opportunity to shimmy off my panties. When Lisbeth and Jake were done making out, he gripped my hips, moving me to sit on his face.
I was dripping at this point, my juices covered his lips and chin as I slid over his tongue. “Fuck, that’s so hot,” Tony said, finally removing his own clothes. Lisbeth leaned over and took Jacob into her mouth while he continued eating me. He groaned under me, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Seeing him like that nearly made me cum on the spot. I grabbed a fist full of his long hair and ground out my orgasm on his tongue.
Tony watched the entire scene, stroking his cock as he watched his wife pleasuring another man, and me cumming on Jacob’s face. He finally sat up and ripped off Lisbeth’s jeans, positioning himself behind her and pushing inside, causing Lisbeth to gasp and squeal in pleasure. He began fucking her slowly and deeply, continuing to take in the scene. Tony leaned forward, picking up the pace of his strokes, and placed his hand on the nape of my neck, our lips finally meeting.
I leaned back into his kiss, and Jacob slipped his fingers into my pussy as he sucked my clit. He pumped his fingers into me, making me moan into Tony’s mouth.
He pulled away and lay back down. Tony gripped my thigh, watching as Jacob worked out another orgasm, swallowing every drop. “Let me taste,” he said and leaned in to kiss Jacob on the lips. His tongue slipped into Jake’s. The kiss ended, and Jake looked surprised, but he leaned back in to kiss Tony again.
Tony slid his fingers into me while he and Jacob kissed, and Lisbeth leaned me back and started kissing up my neck and found my lips once more. She pulled me off of Jake and lay me down, sitting on my face and leaning forward to eat me at the same time. Jake got behind Lisbeth, pushing inside her, but I continued licking her clit as Jacob invaded her womb. He fucked her hard and deep, lost in his lust. Tony got in front of me and pushed into me, his size and girth comparable to Jake’s. He was big and stretched me the way I liked.
“Ah, fuck,” Lisbeth cried out, releasing her orgasm over my face.
Her orgasm must have triggered Tony, because he began fucking me harder with uneven strokes and pulled out, shoving his cock into Lisbeth’s mouth as he finished.
Jacob was next, fucking Lisbeth until her legs were shaking. He gripped her by her waist as he drove into her, bringing himself to the edge and then pulling out, placing his wet cock on her ass and releasing.
He collapsed on the bed and hugged me to his chest, panting. Tony lay back too, and Lisbeth cuddled next to him, ass against him, facing me and placing her hand on my hip. She kissed my nose before settling against her husband.

Chapter Text
Jacob’s POV
Thursday was spent nursing the king of all hangovers. We managed to get home and shut up all the blinds, and slept until Friday. The family came to check on us every once in a while to bring us water and painkillers. But besides that, we were dead to the world.
Friday was a family day. Mama and Papa LeBlanc decided that it was a full day. Mama woke us up at 8 am for breakfast in the backyard. After that, she insisted that we head to the mall to stock up on essentials. We essentially got paraded around the mall while Seth got completely spoiled by his grandparents.
“Back to school shopping,” she said as she swiped her card for the tenth time today. Lav, Jade, and I trailed behind, eating mall pretzels and slushies. Seth walked away from the mall with a suitcase full of new clothes, shoes, a new backpack, and other small things. Seth absolutely loved the attention, and he looked really great in his new outfits. We ended the day out at a restaurant, celebrating one last meal together before heading back to Washington in the morning.
Jonathan went out for a smoke break during the meal, and I joined him. He offered me a smoke from his pack, but I waved it away. “No, thanks, I actually just wanted to talk to you in private.” Jonathan raised his eyebrow at me as he lit his cigarette. “Sir,” I started, uncharacteristically nervously, “I want to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage."
“Are you asking for my permission? Jade wouldn’t like that,” her father warned me.
“Oh, I know,” I laughed. “I’m not asking permission. I’m letting you know my plans, and want to know if you approve.” I clarified.
Jonathan took a long drag of his cigarette. “You fought off a cult to protect my daughter… in what universe do you think I wouldn’t approve of you?” He smiled at me, amused. “Just be the best man you can for her. Keep loving her and bring enjoyment to her life. Congratulations, son.”
Saturday morning, we headed back to LaPush bright and early.
The red car my sisters had arrived in was still there when we returned. Jade looked at me as she parked the bus. “I’m okay,” I promised.
We brought our luggage into the house, and Dad, Rebecca, her wife, and Rachel were sitting in the living room, all of the women’s luggage sitting near the door.
“Welcome home, stranger,” Dad smiled widely, and I crossed the living room to hug him tightly. I had never been away from my father for that long before, and I’d missed him a bunch.
“Hey, Dad.” Jade and Seth followed, hugging Dad as well.
“Leaving already?” Jade asked my sisters, and the women nodded.
“2 weeks is a long vacation; we have to get back to our lives,” Rachel said.
“But we swear that it won’t be ten years before you see us again,” Rebecca promised. “When I call, are you gonna answer?” she asked me.
I sighed and nodded once, and she ambushed me with a hug. “I love you, little brother.”
She and her wife picked up their luggage and headed towards the door. Rachel hesitated, wavering in place before picking up her bag and heading for the door as well. “I’ll talk to you soon, Jake.”
“I want to talk,” I said to Jade as we unpacked our bags.
“About what, my love?” she asked absentmindedly, folding a shirt and putting in the drawer.
“About the future.”
“I can do a reading later if you have questions about the future.”
“No, I mean just talk. Like… where do you see yourself a year from now?” I asked.
“Oh, um… I’m not entirely sure. I wasn’t meant to be here, right? I figured I would be done travelling the country and be back in Louisiana to help with the museum, but that’s not happening.” Jade giggled and looked up at me. “I guess I see myself opening up my own practice. Maybe I can convert the bus into a “tarot on wheels.”
“That’s one plan. I’ll definitely help you with that conversion. It’d be a fun project.” I imagined it as I spoke. Painting the bus purple with green graffiti “Tarot” on the side.
“What about you, baby? Where do you see yourself in a year?” Jade returned the question.
I took a deep breath. “Married.”
“Hm,” Jade breathed and then continued her stream of thought. “And a bigger home. I want Seth to have his own space and room to grow. I also would love for us to work on expanding the garage-”
I got on one knee in front of her and took her hand, “Jade, I’m serious. Will you marry me?” I produced Jade’s grandmother’s ring from my pocket and held it to her.
Her eyes widened when she saw the ring. “Jake, where the fuck did you get this?”
“From Lavender,” I explained simply. “Will you? Marry me?”
“Jacob Ephriam Black, love of my life, of course, I’ll marry you.” She held her left hand out, and I slid the ring on. It fit perfectly.
I kissed her softly and then looked at the ring on her hand. The dazzling diamonds encircling her fingers shone, catching each ray of light and reflecting it. “It looks like it was made for you.” I kissed her ring and then kissed her lips again.”I love you, Jade.”
“I love you forever, Jake. Forever and after.”
