Chapter 1: Accidental sleepover
Chapter Text
It was a peaceful morning for Silver and Riddle. The two had a sleepover the previous night as Silver had accidentally fallen asleep while Riddle was tutoring him.
Silver woke up in a familiar but definitely not his own room, he yawned as he sat up looking around only to feel a pair of hands wrapped around him. He looked to the side where Riddle was sleeping and holding onto him having used Silver as a pillow.
Silver smiled tiredly and pat Riddle on the head. “Must have fallen asleep in here yesterday… Hope Riddle didn’t mind.” He thought as he laid back down and checked the time and dato. It was Saturday and only 6 am, Silver decided it was okay to sleep some more.
It was 8 am when Riddle’s alarm rang. He sat up and got out of bed but not before tucking Silver back in since he was still asleep.
Riddle got dressed then woke Silver up so he’ll go back to his own dorm. “Silver wake up.” Riddle said shaking him lightly. “Five more minutes…” Silver muttered.
“Silver… get up!” Riddle dragged him out of the bed. “Ow!” Silver said sulking as he landed on the floor. “Fine, fine I’ll get up..” Silver grumbled as he got up.
Silver got dressed and realized he should hurry back to his dorm before someone wondered where he was. “Rid? I gotta go.” He said giving Riddle a quick peck on the cheek as he hurried out of heartslabyul. Leaving Riddle blushing due to the kiss
“Stupid Silver..” Riddle muttered to himself despite being as red as his hair.
Chapter 2: Cafe date, pt. 1
Summary:
Kalim, Azul and Ruggie go to a cafe on a date
Chapter Text
The sun was warm and golden that afternoon, spilling over the cobblestone streets of the small town they were visiting. The smell of baked pastries drifted lazily through the air as three boys made their way toward a little café tucked between a bookstore and a flower shop.
Kalim was the first to spot it. “There! That one looks perfect!” he said, practically bouncing on his feet. His smile was so bright it could’ve powered the café’s lights.
Ruggie stretched his arms over his head, yawning. “You say that about every café we pass, y’know?” he teased, though the scent of sugar and butter already had his tail swishing behind him. “But fine, this one smells really good.”
Azul, ever the picture of composure in his neatly pressed shirt and polished glasses, gave the café a thoughtful glance. “A cozy aesthetic, charmingly rustic… yes, I can see the appeal,” he said, adjusting his tie. “Though I do hope their coffee isn’t all foam and no flavor.”
They slipped inside, greeted by the soft murmur of conversation and the hiss of the espresso machine. The walls were lined with plants and shelves of old books, and the chalkboard menu listed drinks with names like Caramel Daydream and Moonlit Mocha.
Kalim clapped his hands together. “Let’s get one of everything!”
“Let’s not,” Ruggie said, eyeing the prices with a pained expression.
Azul chuckled under his breath. “Don’t worry, Ruggie. Kalim’s paying for it after all,”
Chapter 3: Cafe date pt 2
Summary:
Pt 2 of the cafe date
Chapter Text
They went and found a spot in a cozy corner to sit.
Ruggie leaned back in his chair, tail flicking lazily. “Gotta say, this place’s got a vibe. Smells like caramel and expensive sugar.”
Azul smiled behind his cup of coffee. “I thought you’d appreciate somewhere with charm. Not every date needs to involve a business dinner.” His eyes softened over the rim of his glasses. “And besides, it’s quiet enough for us to talk.”
Across the table, Kalim beamed, stirring honey into his tea until it shimmered gold. “I love it! It feels cozy—like the three of us could stay here all day and just laugh.” He set his cup down, brushing a bit of sugar from his lips.
Azul chuckled, reaching across the table to adjust Ruggie’s slightly crooked scarf, fingers brushing the hyena’s neck just long enough to make him blink. “Honestly, I’m surprised you cleaned up so nicely.”
“Hey—!” Ruggie huffed, ears twitching. “Don’t start getting handsy unless you plan on sharing that fancy latte of yours.”
“Perhaps I will,” Azul replied smoothly, passing the cup over. “If you don’t mind indirect kisses.”
Kalim let out a delighted laugh. “You two flirt more than you realize.”
Ruggie took a sip just to spite him, only to find the drink rich and sweet, almost embarrassingly good. “…Okay, fine. You win.”
Azul’s smirk softened into something genuine. “It’s not about winning, dear. It’s about… savoring.”
The words hung between them, warm as the light that painted their table gold. Kalim leaned in then, eyes bright. “Then let’s all savor it together.” He reached out both hands—one for each of them.
Ruggie hesitated a beat before taking Kalim’s hand, his thumb brushing over sun-warmed skin. Azul followed, his cool fingers twining with Kalim’s on the other side. For a heartbeat, the café noise melted away.
Just three souls, one quiet afternoon, and the soft promise of love.
Chapter 4: Quiet in the library
Summary:
Jamil and Jade working together on a project in the library but get interrupted by Floyd
Chapter Text
The library was supposed to be quiet.
Supposed to be.
Jade and Jamil sat tucked into a corner table surrounded by stacks of open books and a laptop humming softly. The only sound was the gentle tapping of keys and the occasional rustle of pages. Afternoon sunlight spilled through tall windows, painting the table a golden color.
Jamil frowned at his notes. “If we can’t finish this research section tonight, we’ll miss the deadline.”
Jade leaned over, scanning the same paragraph. “Relax. We’ve got this. You worry too much.”
“I do not.”
Jade chuckled softly, brushing Jamil’s hand as he reached for another book. “You do. But that’s one of the things I like about you.”
Jamil glanced up from the page, cheeks flushing a faint red. “You can’t say stuff like that in the library.”
“Why not?” Jade asked, voice low but teasing. “It’s not like anyone’s listening.”
Jamil’s reply was cut off when Jade leaned in closer—close enough that Jamil could smell the faint hint of coffee on his breath. Their eyes met, and for a second, even the library’s stillness felt charged.
And then—
“Boo!”
Jade nearly dropped his pen. Jamil jumped. Both turned to see Floyd leaning against the end of the bookshelf with a grin that was far too loud for the library.
“Floyd!” Jade hissed. “You can’t sneak up on people like that!”
Floyd sauntered over, carrying a pile of overdue books under one arm and a mischievous glint in his eye. “Oh, come on. I didn’t sneak. I just walked very, very quietly. Big difference.”
“Some of us are trying to work,” Jamil muttered, trying to refocus on the screen.
Floyd flopped into the chair beside them anyway. “And some of us are trying to rescue you from dying of boredom.”
Jade sighed but couldn’t help smiling. “You always find us somehow.”
“Of course I do,” Floyd said, leaning his chin on his hand. “You two disappeared into your little study bubble for hours. I started to miss you.”
Jade tried not to smile. “We’re literally still in the same building.”
Floyd grinned wider. “Doesn’t count if I can’t annoy you.”
Jamil slid a bookmark into his notes and looked between them. “Tell you what—if we finish this section, we’ll take a break. You can talk as much as you want.”
Floyd’s eyes lit up. “Deal. But only if the break includes snacks. And maybe a kiss.”
Jade groaned. “Floyd—this is a library.”
Floyd tilted his head. “Then we’ll be quiet kisses. Whisper-level affection.”
Jamil chuckled, shaking his head as his cheeks turned red again. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Unbelievably charming,” Floyd corrected, winking.
The three of them eventually settled—Jamil typing, Jade editing beside him, Floyd doodling hearts in the margins of Jade’s notes. Despite the constant threat of a librarian’s glare, laughter kept slipping between the shelves like sunlight through the blinds.
The project would get finished. Eventually.
But in that quiet corner, surrounded by books and whispered jokes, Jamil realized he didn’t mind the interruptions so much anymore.
After all, some stories were better with a little chaos in them. Especially when it came to their relationship.
