Work Text:

Ryunosuke lay facedown on the bed, face pressed into the blankets. He panted for breath, pinned by Barok and at his mercy. Barok thrust into him hard from behind, and Ryunosuke’s whole body trembled from the force of it.

His back stung from several painful lash marks Barok had left on him earlier this evening, courtesy of a whip he’d obtained for them to enjoy together. Now the lingering pain rippled through him as his lover chased his pleasure.

When Barok finally came with a loud groan, the sound sent Ryunosuke over the edge. He thrust forward sharply against the bed and came with a cry of his own to leave a sticky mess all across his stomach and the blankets below him.

He went limp with a shuddering gasp. After such an intense combination of pleasure and pain, his thoughts felt hazy and disorganized.

Still braced above him on the bed, Barok lingered there for a moment catching his breath, and then he gently lifted Ryunosuke into his arms. “It’s all right, love, I’ve got you.”

Ryunosuke relaxed and closed his eyes. He didn’t have to think right now, as long as the man he loved was here to take care of him. Barok gently cleaned him off with a damp towel and then moved him to another part of the bed, unsoiled by his release. He set him down on his stomach once more.

Another soft touch followed, as Barok rubbed a soothing salve over the marks left by the whip. His hands were so warm and gentle now, in sharp contrast to how rough he’d been moments ago. Under his careful ministrations, the pain faded into the background as he tended to each stinging patch of skin.

It would be easy to drift into sleep like this, except Ryunosuke was still missing one important thing—Barok’s arms around him.

“There we go,” Barok said, “it doesn’t look like you’ll need any bandages.” He wrapped a warm blanket around Ryunosuke’s shoulders and helped him sit up, then eased him back against the pillows. “Drink some water, my dear.”

Ryunosuke accepted the glass of water held out to him and drank it, then handed it back.

“I will be right back, dear one.”

He frowned. He didn’t want Barok to leave the room, he wanted to cuddle.

But as much as he felt like pouting, Barok probably had a good reason for leaving. For example, dessert. Whenever they had a rough scene like this, Barok treated him to something sugary and sweet afterward, but he hadn’t brought any desserts into the bedroom this time. Ryunosuke had assumed he skipped it this time for some reason, but maybe… maybe his dessert was in another room.

Still, it was hard to imagine any dessert worth delaying their—

Then the door opened, and Ryunosuke took back everything he’d just thought, because Barok entered the bedroom carrying the most beautiful dessert he’d ever seen.

His jaw dropped. Even though it was in a porcelain dish, he could already see it was a pudding covered in a thick layer of meringue. And it was huge. Barok brought it over to him and placed it in his lap, then handed him a spoon.

Then he finally joined him on the bed and wrapped his arms around him, the warm, comforting embrace he’d been waiting for.

Except now he was far more distracted by the amazing sight in front of him.

Barok chuckled. “I never tire of seeing you like this, my dear. When you’re in this state, you hide nothing.”

Ryunosuke realized he was all but drooling as he stared at his dessert, but he couldn’t tear his gaze away even in response to his lover’s teasing. He dipped his spoon into the pudding and took a mouthful.

As he’d thought, the top layer was a rich, sweet meringue, so thick that his spoonful contained nothing else. He savored the flavor and the unique texture for a long moment, and then he dipped his spoon in to find the next layer.

Fruit filled his mouth with the next spoonful, a thin raspberry layer even sweeter than the meringue, like a sugary jam. The two flavors combined to make his head spin. One more spoonful brought him to the thick bottom layer. From its feel as he scooped it out of the dish, he expected it to be like a pie crust, but it tasted more like custard. The sweetness curled around his tongue.

With a delighted gasp, he dug his spoon in again, this time managing to get all three layers at once. As the meringue, jam, and custard all mixed in his mouth at once, the sweetness was overwhelming. He moaned at the taste and took another bite.

“Good heavens,” Barok said, “I didn’t even manage to pull sounds like that out of you during the main event.”

Ryunosuke blushed and glanced over at him. “It’s delicious!”

“I can tell.”

“Did you want to have some?”

Barok shook his head with a soft smile. “It’s all for you.”

“I wouldn’t mind sharing.”

“Ah, but then I wouldn’t get to see your reaction to every bite, and for me that is a treat greater than any dessert.”

Ryunosuke suspected Barok was teasing him again, but he didn’t mind. More importantly, he didn’t really want to share his dessert; he just thought it was polite to offer. So he resumed eating without further debate and enjoyed every rich, delicious spoonful. Little by little, the massive dessert shrank, until at last he scooped out the final bit of custard.

He ate it slowly with a quiet sigh and made sure to lick up every last bit from the spoon.

He handed the empty dish to Barok, who set it aside, and then he snuggled against him. “That was amazing.” Ryunosuke closed his eyes and rested his head against Barok’s chest. Warm, content, and well-fed, he really felt ready to fall asleep now. “You’ve never brought me a dessert that good before.”

Barok stroked his hair and pressed a soft kiss onto his forehead. “I knew tonight would be rougher than usual on you, so I wanted to ensure your dessert matched.”

Ryunosuke smiled, half-asleep already. “You know, as much fun as we have in bed, sometimes I think I like what comes afterward even more.”

“Is that so? Hmm, perhaps I need to try harder next time.”

“Okay,” he mumbled, barely aware of what he was saying now, “but make sure the dessert is even better, too, then.”

Barok made a quiet scoffing sound and kissed him again.

He might have said something else, but Ryunosuke didn’t hear him, already drifting off into a deep, sound sleep.

Notes:

When I saw this month's Twelve Moons prompt, I felt the weight of Kinktober pressing down upon me and thought, "Hmm, I wonder if I can combine these?" And here we are!
