STAR WARS: The Drama Awakens The Game Chronicles

Notes:

This was just a story I came up with when I was in high school where I had this LRC class where I had a writing goal and this came to my mind and I am now in college but I realized it would be a great idea to add this into my AO3 account because I think it's really good but if you really like it I might consider adding another part. And if you do have any more game ideas let me know.

Chapter 1: STAR WARS: The Drama Awakens The Game Chronicles Part 1

Chapter Text

A long time ago in a galaxy, far, far away…

The Destruction of the second death star had put the rebellion finally at ease. Chewbacca was working on fixing the Falcon because Lando had messed it up even tho he had promised not to get a scratch on it and Chewie was growling under his breath, and Han was chatting with Leia when he looked up at Chewie and chuckled. “No kidding is right, big guy what a liar.” Leia shook her head. “You love that ship more than everyone, don’t you.” Han crossed his arms at Leia and shook his head. “Now, that is not true, princess. I may like her being in top shape at all times but that doesn’t mean that I just care about her.” Luke had finally shown up again, smiling tiredly but with a hint of amusement in his eyes. “Then who else do you care about Han?”

Han raised a concerned eyebrow at Luke. “You look like you’ve been put through the wringer, kid…you alright?” Luke shrugged. “I’ll be fine…just really tired,” Han smirked. “You’re obviously not fine…so I’ve got an idea to bring that stress level of yours down, kid.” Luke raised an eyebrow over at Leia, who just shrugged and mouthed quietly in Luke’s direction. “Don’t ask me…he doesn’t tell me what he plans.” Chewie held up a box, and Luke’s eyebrow twitched when he read the game title and snorted. “Monopoly…Han, you have gotta be kidding me…this is going to cause a whole lot of competition,” Han grinned. “Fun competition, no stress, just a lot of fun competition and ending up in jail many rounds later.”

Luke shook his head with a grin. “Fine…sounds fun.” Leia shrugged. “For once, you actually came up with a pretty good idea.” Han looked offended. “Excuse me, I come up with a lot of good plans.” Force Ghost Anakin, Force Ghost Obi-Wan, and Force Ghost Yoda show up sitting behind Luke out of curiosity. Anakin whispered into Luke’s ear. “What are you doing?” Luke murmured back. “Monopoly” Obi-Wan nearly burst out laughing remembering when he had played that with Ahsoka & Anakin, and it had led to pure chaos. “Well, this should be interesting.” Luke grinned as he looked between the two. “I could always use the force to bring you guys back to life so you can play.” Anakin wasn’t too sure, but Obi-Wan looked beyond intrigued and spoke calmly. “Color me intrigued,” Yoda hummed with wisdom. “Watch I shall…”

Luke chuckled softly at Yoda. “That’s understandable.” Luke turned his attention back over to Anakin & Obi-Wan. “Well?” Obi-Wan hummed. “Yeah…sure.” Obi-Wan looked over at Anakin with a grin, and Anakin groaned. “Please, no master…you know how well last time went.” Obi-Wan grinned. “That’s the whole point, my young padawan.” Anakin groaned. “I am not your padawan anymore, master…” Obi-Wan smirked. “Right, my apprentice.” Anakin shook his head instantly. “Nope…uh padawan is fine…” Obi-Wan grinned. “That’s what I thought.” Luke chuckled and used the force to just bring the two back to life as the two argued, and Leia was fighting back laughter as she watched the chaos unfold before her

Han just shook his head and started getting the board ready, and Obi-Wan could already feel the annoyance stirring within Anakin and Luke looked over at his father and rested his head on his father’s shoulder. “Hey, it’ll be fun…” Anakin looked at Luke out of the corner of his eye and sighed softly. “Fine…” R2-D2 was rocking side to side next to Anakin, beeping excitedly while C-3P0 sighed. “Exciting is hardly the word I would use for this…it always goes horribly wrong.”

A voice was heard from behind them, full of excitement. “Playing Monopoly without me, skyguy…now I’m hurt.” Anakin’s head shot, and he looked over his shoulder and spotted Ahsoka. “Snips…” Ahsoka walked over and put her lightsaber away into its hilt so it didn’t go anywhere before sitting down on the other side of Anakin. Han murmured to Leia. “Well, this game may have just gotten ten times more interesting. R2-D2 beeped in annoyance, rocking back and forth (Translation: "Just play already. I’m getting bored!"). Anakin looked over at R2-D2 and spoke up. “Be patient.” When the game finally started, Luke somehow landed two sixes already and ended up moving to the roll again. Luke burst out laughing while trying to figure out why he was doing so well.

Luke tilted his head curiously, rolled the die, landed another two sixes, and landed on the boardwalk already. and his mouth twitched upwards, and he smirked smugly. “Yeah…I’m doing it.” Leia’s eye twitched and grumbled. “Well…there goes my money already.” when it was Han’s turn, he already started buying every single property he landed on, and Luke groaned into the grass, laughing breathlessly. “Han…just why…” Han grinned. “Because I can.” As the game went on, Luke’s eye was twitching, and he was obviously about to lose his cool, so he grumbled. “This game... it’s like the Empire all over again. I'm fighting battles I can’t win!” When Luke lands on Anakin’s fully developed property and has to give up most of his cash, he can’t take it anymore. In a dramatic display, he uses the Force to fling the entire board into a tree in a fit of rage, and R2-D2 whistles in alarm while everyone stares in stunned silence while Luke paces back and forth, ranting. “I am a Jedi Knight, and this is beneath me!”

As the game grew closer to the end, Han mumbled to Leia as he watched Luke rant more and more. “I think this might be the moment we let Luke win so he doesn’t become the next Sith Lord.” Leia shot a glare at Han. “You’re right, but we’re not going to say that aloud, okay?” Ahsoka watched as Luke’s fury only seemed to grow, and she coughed awkwardly. “I’m with Han. It’s either that or I don’t want to see more trees being thrown into the forest.” Obi-Wan chuckled worriedly and spoke up calmly. “I’ll take my losses. Let the boy have his moment.” Anakin leaned back and chuckled at his son. “Fine. For the sake of the galaxy’s peace, I’ll let you have it, Luke.” Luke gasped, his anger vanishing within seconds. “Wait, seriously?” Leia let out a breathless laugh. “Yep. You need this, trust me.” Ahsoka shook her head in amusement. “Alright, Luke. You win. But don’t think you’re getting away with this next time.” Luke put his hands in the air. “VICTORY!!”

When the game drew to a close, the group realized one thing…they would NEVER play Monopoly ever again…cause all it would do would cause chaos or competitive natures. But they wouldn’t deny they did have fun…but maybe next time, they would play a different game that was calmer…and less competitive.
