Chapter 30: Revenge

Chapter Text

Maybe, just maybe, they had grown complacent.

Lavinia had no problem admitting when she had made the wrong decision.

But things had been going so well.

Peace was flourishing between the clans. The mobsters were quiet. The gangs were small potatoes easily dealt with.

All in all, they had every reason to just rest on their laurels.

But her shell had barely hit the proverbial beach chair when it was suddenly snatched away from under her.

A blade was pressed to her throat, and she watched in quiet horror as Saki sank to the ground, a pool of blood forming around his body.

“So. Let’s try this again, Madame Oroku. Maybe you’ll be more accommodating than your husband.”

The man in front of her was a traitor to the clan. A nobody she couldn’t even remember the name of. He’d gathered up a couple of like-minded people amongst the soldiers, and then he’d gone out and started his own clan. They had encroached on their territory, but neither she nor Saki saw them as a threat.

It was a mistake she might not learn from.

They were too great in number, and had been annoyingly efficient in their use of smoke bombs. How many times had Master told her to be aware of her surroundings…?

She cried out as he sent a well-placed kick into her ankle. If she was lucky, it was just sprained.

“I’m talking to you, whore. What, aren’t you allowed to speak? Only open your mouth for his cock?”

Lavinia spit in his face, and grinned as he backed away, “How’s his cum taste?”

“You fuckin’…”

Maybe he meant to say something more, but whatever it was, was squashed.

Tama had landed on him.

Her big, brilliant boy slowly rose, then grabbed onto the ninja that had raised their weapons against him, and flung them around like they were dolls.

“Tama, one o’clock!” came Shen’s voice, right as she came sailing in, split-kicking two people in the face.

Whoever had been holding Vinnie down lost their grip, and Tyke’s hands hauled her up, “You ok, mom?”

“Just embarrassed, love, tend to your father.”

“On it.”

Her youngest pulled out a rod, and clicked it three times. Immediately, half the soldiers toppled over.

“Hey, leave some of’em!” Shen cried.

“You’re so bloodthirsty.” Tama said, knocking two soldiers’ heads together.

“I just want the practice! ‘Sides, knocking them out like that is too good for them!”

Tyke sighed as she sat down by her father, “How about you help me stitch dad up, he’s bleeding like a fucking Romanov!”

Lavinia grabbed the leader of the rival clan by the scruff. He had fainted, but he was still alive. For now.

“Enough, you three. Finish the job, and we’ll convene in the Dojo.”

Saki had been given adrenaline and some first-rate stitches as he sat down in front of…

“Benny.”

Ah, that was his name. Lavinia had forgotten that. But that smug face… that was harder to forget.

“Give me one reason to not split you open here and now.”

“Think you can manage that, old man? I took you down.”

“20 people were holding me down. I’d remind you that the only reason you’re alive right now is because my son is soft-hearted, and strong enough to hold my oldest off. My youngest… well, she seems keen to dissect you.”

Benny shrugged, “I’m not scared of your freak family. You think you introduced dragon blood by fucking that thing over there?” he nodded towards Vinnie.

“You got a pack of muties, that’s it.”

“I’ll curb stomp you, you fucking…”

“Shen. Not yet.” Saki said, turning back to their prisoner, “You have a deep hatred for my wife and my family. And today, you attacked us, and our home. Despite your… profound lack of manners and ordinary conduct, I will let you give your reasons, if there are any.”

Benny chuckled, “Oooh, thank you sooo much, oh honorable Master Shredder! What the fuck are you trying to do? I’m just putting shit back into order. The Foot, the REAL Foot, should rule New York. Not the goddamned bizarro Brady Bunch over here.”

“Ah, and you and your little gang is the REAL Foot clan?” Vinnie said, head cocked to the side. Benny imitated her and batted his eyelashes, “Yeah. So go back to the sewer, and let humans rule.”

“No. And fuck you.” Tyke said.

“I concur!” Saki said, “My children, it’s up to you.”

The three of them walked in sync towards Benny, joining hands as they did. The room dimmed slightly before it grew as bright as the dawn after a cold winter night, and a massive dragon took shape.

“WHAT… WHAT THE HELL!” Benny cried.

“We, the blood of the dragon…” Shen chanted.

“Beg you to cleanse this evil…” Tama continued.

“And rid us of it, for all eternity.” Tyke finished.

Benny’s body seemed to split into paper thin slices, and were then lifted into the dragons mouth. The massive creature flew once around the room, and was gone.

The three Oroku-children sighed and let go of each other’s hands.

“He has more people, dad.” Shen said, turning around.

“And they have bad intentions.” Tyke continued.

“We’re ready whenever.” Tama said, kneeling by Lavinia, who took his face between her hands.

“My brave babies…” she sighed, “This isn’t what I wanted for you.”

Shen shrugged, “Mom, it’s fine, we got this.”

“Your mother is right, Shen. This is not what we wanted for you.” Saki groaned as he got up. He was bleeding through his yukata.

Shen’s expression softened, and she let him lean on her for a moment.

“I have complete faith in all of you, but do not get overconfident. Trust each other, look to one another, and fight well.”

“We will, dad.”

Lavinia took his arm over her shoulders and nodded at her children, “Good luck.”

“C’mon, Nerds. Let’s show’em what happens when they mess with the Foot Clan.”
