The campfire crackled into the night, more flames then smoke and it produced a warmth Wemmbu hadn’t felt in awhile. He was being rash- armour off- no invis drunk.. He was far enough out right?- in this stupid forest- where he’s stupidly alone and stupid ParrotX2 is trying to find him.. for whatever reason.
He sat there and stared into the burning orange and yellow sparks. It only reminded him of one person- one person he wasn’t in the mood to see. He’d beaten Flamefrags- but with rumour apparently the demon’s been looking for him- hunting even.
Wemmbu let out a huff and his gaze shifted away from the fire- it took a second for his eyes to adjust to the dark of the night. He gave a scan to his surroundings still never relaxed. Shoulders hunched up tight as if the mace by his side wouldn't be enough to protect him from whatever could come.
Everything was nothing but an outline and mix of greys and black the sun had long set giving no light beside the slow casting of a rising quarter moon.
He couldn't sleep. On edge all the time and living off golden carrots did nothing good for his stomach.
A crack of a stick. Crunch of leaves.
Wemmbu froze, black pupils quickly darting round the treeline as he fumbled an invisibility potion from his inventory- throwing it back in his throat as he drunk to force the tingling liquid down before it made him feel lightheaded. Watching his hands slowly fade into thin air he grabbed gambit and made way behind a tree just as voices grew close.
“ Yeah well- we might iswell check over here..”
The light tuned chirp of a bird. ParrotX2 and Theobaldthebird.
Parrot took a step into the clearing, eyes glinting at the sight of the campfire still lit. Wemmbu gritted his teeth at the fact he hadn’t kicked it out.
“Hey- theres a campfire here.” Parrot called out.
“Really?” Theo jumped down from the treetops where he’d been looking for structures or anything-
“Its burning still?” he questioned staring at the very obviously still running fire.
“Mhm. But no one’s here.” Parrot replied, his eyebrows furrowing as he glanced around.
Wemmbu lent into the tree he was hiding behind- debating leaving or atleast trying to.
Parrot lent down by the spot wemmbu had been sitting, his hand brushing over the scratch marks his armour had left in the ground when he sat before taking it off. And the block gambit had been placed on leaving a small square indent in the grass at the weight. Parrot hummed. “Someone was here though.” He stood back up.
Theo blinked, “I dont see any nametags.” He did a 360’ of the forest.
“Yeah well- they obviously left.” Parrot was still staring at the indent in the grass. “Or maybe..”
The bird glanced round the clearing, eyes sharp.
Theo stood there- following his friends movement.
Wemmbu was slowly creeping away- manoeuvring around leaves and sticks as his invisibility slowly diminished. He held his breath and sunk into the river not to far from where he was camping- the water felt slightly suffocating as he used gambit to pull him to the bottom.
He pushed himself along the bottom by grabbing the blocks and pushing off of them. He was to close to use his riptide and only an idiot would use an elytra.
The half risen moon provided enough light in the water for him to see but that also ment others could see a mace dragging itself about underwater.
Parrot was still by the campfire- till he took notice of the flowing water nearby. He made way towards the river- staring at his reflection for a moment till he spotted lifted sand dispersing into dust near the bottom. At first it seemed to be a fish- but it looked larger.
Wemmbu felt his chest tighten as he swam further through the water- he needed air and couldn't risk it. Pushing with more reason now- to get away.
Parrot frowned but Theo calling him made him turn around.
By then the sand had settled- and Wemmbu was gone.

The hot hog the only place Wemmbu or The invisible knight could get some decent food beside golden carrots and apples. He sat in the corner enjoying a meal- atleast trying to as sleep tugged deeply at him. Curse parrot for ruining the one night he believed he could sleep.
