Chapter Text
Zoey smiled as she continued to ramble on and on about turtle facts, how much she wanted a burger from the states again, and how much she loved the color yellow.
Mira was sitting across from her at a table outside of a cafe. The two were out and about for the day while Rumi was busy working away in the studio because Bobby had dragged her into yet another project.
Biting down on her lower lip Mira blushed as she listened to Zoey talk. She felt like she was a teenager again. "Get yourself together. Zoey will notice if you don't and she's probably not even interested in women." Mira thought to herself.
Thankfully Zoey did not notice Mira's behavior as she started yet another topic; Why turtles are the best animals to ever exist.
Smiling, Mira continued to drink her tea as Zoey finished her coffee.
"And if I had a pet turtle I'd totally name it Shell The First and he'd be friends with all of my turtle plushies!" Zoey continued on as then the two got up and headed back to the penthouse tower.
"I'm sure they'd be great friends." Mira said as they went home.
Once back at the penthouse it was getting to be dinner time so Zoey offered to help Mira make food. Mira happily agreed.
Later that night after dinner the two girls sat on the couch watching movies as Rumi came back. Zoey In her usual Zoey way welcomed her friend home happily with a hug and going on about what and Mira gotta up to.
Mira felt a pang of jealousy as Zoey attention had gone to Rumi.
"You've been spending most of the day with her and she's allowed to talk to others knock it off." Mira grumbled to herself.
Soon Zoey was back on the couch and Rumi followed. She noticed Mira looking at her as if she angry with her for some reason. Raising a questioning eyebrow at her friend, Rumi was trying to silently ask what was wrong but Mira just turned her head back to the TV.
Rumi sighed quietly to herself as she got up and said she was tired so she was turning in for the night.
Leaving the two alone Rumi went to her room for the rest of the night, while Zoey without a care in the world didn't notice the tension between her friends.
Later while laying in her bed, Zoey thought about Mira and how cute she was.
"I wonder if she'd ever like me back..." Zoey thought before falling asleep.
Mira was still in the living room on the couch only now the TV was turned off and she was scrolling through her phone when Rumi came out to grab some water from the kitchen.
"Hey I'm sorry about earlier." Mira spoke up as she saw Rumi avoiding her gaze and not making eye contact.
"I mean thank you but what exactly happened? I don't understand why you're being weird with me lately." Rumi replied as she sat down next to Mira on the couch.
"I have a crush on Zoey and I'm getting jealous when she shifts her focus to you and not me. I know it's not healthy and I'm being a jerk to you because of something that's got nothing to do with you. I'm so sorry Rumi. You've done nothing wrong nothing at all." Mira responded.
"Awww Mira! Well don't worry I don't feel that way about Zoey. That does explain a lot though." Rumi said.
"Do you think she likes me back?" Mira asked.
"I don't know you'd have to talk to her. I'll be your cheerleader though! I say go for it!" Rumi replied.
"I don't know how to exactly... I don't just want to just sit her down and express my love for her. I want to do something else as well." Mira mumbled.
"Then you could take her to her food or go on a walk? Try not to overthink this." Rumi responded, as she grinned.
"I don't think that's possible." Mira huffed.
"Well if you need any help I'm here okay?" Rumi added in.
"Sounds good thank you Rumi." Mira said.
"Anytime. Well I'm off to bed. Goodnight Mira." Rumi added in as she got up and went to her room.
"Goodnight Rumi." Mira called out as she then went to her own room and tried to sleep.
