You are too kind!! I am really into the slow build of their relationship and despite each of them having their own issues, they are always there for each other. I do think Robby feels a kind of relief that in front of Jack he doesn't have to pretend, he doesn't have to hide (which we see in that second roof scene) and that makes all the he's dealing with easier. Even with all that, you just know that if he got a whiff of Jack being upset or having nightmares or whatever, he'd be working double time to try to support him. I don't think it's trauma bonding so much as knowing that someone can be fucking miserable but just being around the right person makes you slightly less miserable.
