  1. I have to tell you that I lived this exact dynamic with someone for 28 years.
    Tina’s (me) stance in the airport (feet planted, suitcase as a shield) mirrors my posture. I learned to stand instead of lean, to protect my center even while longing to be seen.

    The emotional choreography here is sublime throughout. Tina gives softness; Bette manages optics. Tina shares internal weather; Bette offeres forecasts but never steps into the storm.

    Hopefully I am reading this right after only one chapter. LOL
