Ahhh I loved the comic relief of this chapter! And I love that Adar is known as The Ghost Elf - you know you’re a hardcore pirate when you’ve been given a pirate name by others 😍I also love how unnerved and spooked Captain Bawbuthor is despite all of his posturing.
That should be enough time to cut the throats of every Númenórean on the cruiser and have a new ship for the fleet.
Lol, I love how this is both bloodthirsty and paternal - he’s going to cut their throats but only so his children can have a new ship.
He had heard that Sea Guards sometimes let positions be purchased by wealthy families for their less than capable sons and daughters. Adar knew he was looking right at one of those purchases.
Lol! I actually laughed out loud at this and nearly fell out of my chair, it’s absolutely brilliant. Love how dry Adar is here, it’s so in keeping with his Season 2 character 😍
Adar continued to watch the Sea Guard captain impassively, as if he were a predatory beast that figured out Bawbuthor was a harmless, inedible carrot.
Bahahahaha. I can just see the expression on his face! Love this so much 😆😆
The pirate half-elves are hilarious and I love how they idolise him and how bemused Adar is by them despite his irritation. They also remind me of the lost boys hehe and I can’t wait to reread their scenes.
Thanghat is very intriguing and I love that Adar finds her endearing - I think he finds them all endearing, even if he can’t admit that yet :-P
He is after all, a father to the Uruks and so perhaps he can keep an eye on these pirate hopefuls? Though it seems that there’s more to Thanghat than meets the eye, and Adar is intrigued too xx
I hope you continue to enjoy our story and the characters we created to interact with Adar and a few original Tolkien ones. Wilinarta and I both adore A Herald In Mordor and for you to enjoy our story is incredibly humbling!
