Comment on Interview with a Batman

  1. Another fantastic Mithen fic found its way to me :) Yeah :)

Eh eh :) Welcome to his world, Clark :) That was so cute, so perfectly paced, and so delightful :)

He caught him undoing his tie ;p of course he thought that something raunchy was afoot :) Think that two seconds later, the suit would have been visible and ---- "oh, well there's one less question to ask ;p"
I loved how Bruce played with the undone tie, not letting him get away until he agrees to his proposition ;p

Then, Clark turns the tables on him by excelling at diverting his attention and avoiding elaborate answers :) The Bruce Wayne suggestion cracked me up all the way to my ears :) Those boys orbit more around one another than even they realize :)

I was impressed by how Clark managed to remain inconspicuous while helping during the Firefly debacle :) I bet that he still lifted the car by himself, but he was covered by the apparent help :p And Bruce opened up to him afterward, awwww :)

Incidently, I loved how Bruce developped a grudging respect for Clark as he got to know him better :) But I wish we had seen the rest of his reaction about Clark being Supes once they were 'home' ;p He must have sought some kind of repayment for Clark playing him, the so-called greatest detective alive, for a fool :)

The takeout in the batmobile was a hoot :) From Clark's reaction to the car, to the sudden stop in their heated exchange, I couldn't stop smiling and chuckling :p

When he brought him to the alley, I figured that Clark would remember his preparation reading about Gotham and the saddly famous murder of the Wayne couple--- hence would figure out the rest, but I didn't see coming what happened instead :)
Great reveal :) heck! Superb reveal!!! Even as B was ripping the shirt, I could see him with a lightbulb turning on above his head, but his utter embracing of the truth was even better than everything else before had been.

I just wonder why he thanked him about the bullets he gave him.

Still, the best was yet to come, and the scoop was for the ages :D I can just see the boys thinking it up while they cuddled in the large master bed of Wayne manor :) Or was it in the cave because they never managed to make it further than the bunk there?

This is definitely a new favorite in my growing Superbat collection :)
    Thanks for sharing!!

P.s. One thing that now occurs to me and that I love about your stories is that you have written so many that you even wrote AUs of your own stories so that if an alternate scenario/possibility is mentioned in a story, that scenario almost assuredly has its own story in your collection :) (ex.: Home of the Earth vs From this day forward) This is a major boon to the already thrilling experience of enjoying your vast universe of wonderful Superbat fics :D Kuddos, dear! Keep them coming!

    1. Oh, what a comment, I'm just beaming deliriously! :)

Then, Clark turns the tables on him by excelling at diverting his attention and avoiding elaborate answers :) The Bruce Wayne suggestion cracked me up all the way to my ears :) Those boys orbit more around one another than even they realize :)

That's got to be one of my favorite themes, the way they end up circling each other in any of their identities...

I was impressed by how Clark managed to remain inconspicuous while helping during the Firefly debacle :)

My first comic books were Bronze Age books where very often the "conflict" was abut how Clark was going to manage to save the day when on television/tied to Lois/otherwise trapped as Clark, so I take a real pleasure in those kinds of scenarios. :)

I just wonder why he thanked him about the bullets he gave him.

Good question! I think part of it is just reflexive, how you say "thank you" automatically when someone gives you something (he's still a bit in shock). But part of it is also some kind of symbolic link between those bullets and the two that killed his parents--these two bullets that lead, not to trauma and death, but to revelation and love.

I can just see the boys thinking it up while they cuddled in the large master bed of Wayne manor :) Or was it in the cave because they never managed to make it further than the bunk there?

I'm thinking master bed, and I suspect it was the first time Clark had ever seen Bruce truly laugh uncontrollably.

I'm grinning so much at your description of many of my fics being AUs of each other! They really do tend to build on each other and add and diverge in fun ways sometimes, don't they? I'm delighted you enjoy that!
