Comment on And Here You Are Living

  1. Oh! I forgot to mention that I also appreciate how you focus on platonic relationships as well. I love fanfiction, but it's so romantically heavy it's nice to get some platonic love in there. Especially with a mental health story. A romantic partner isn't going to magically fix you like so many works of fiction will leave you to believe, but the support of friends can do wonders. Not to mention that relationships with friends can be hard enough when suffering from severe mental illness, let alone trying to have a romantic one. So, yeah I love that you focus on that as well. I'm going to stop gushing now, I swear, but truly you are really great!

    1. YESSS! This comment means so much to me, so thank you for leaving it! I'm not a huge romance fan in general, so most of my stories are gen. BUT I am not anti-romance; hence, the cannon relationships in the story. Though I sometimes feel fanfiction is over-saturated with romance. It's like most people don't understand that there can be friendships so deep that you would die for them. I have been blessed with many of those friends! The reality is without my friends I'd probably not be alive. And I was nowhere near healthy enough to be in a romantic relationship. That is not to say that people with mental illness should not be in relationships, but that there is a certain amount of healthy that needs to happen before pursuing one. Because you're right. Friendships are hard enough when you're struggling!

Sorry, I'm writing so much in response, but your comment made my night! Thank you so much for taking the time to review!
