It's why TFP Megs is one of my fave Megs in the franchise tbh, his characterization in the novels were good, he's a well written villain (or antagonist maybeee, villain is not an exact word for him since he was fighting the corruption of the senate so it wasnt a villainous MO but it doesnt excuse war crimes so idk ). And the "he always spares megs" part is accurate af lmaooo that even ratchet points it out in the show bdjdkf no wonder the war lasted that long. But hhhh srry Xen i still got a soft spot for my boi optimus (maybe it's because he's sincere in becoming a better bot idk or maybe it's because i ship megop lmao) but he does give a mary sue vibe. The way he acquired his primacy (atleast in the aligned continuity), is easy af like he just gives a speech to the council then boom ur now a prime. Although he does have valid points accepting the matrix of leadership was probably a bad move. I kind of understand why megatron would be angry after all the shit he went through.

That's why tfa has a special place in my heart (rip season 4) since the story is not as black and white as the other tf shows, it's morally grey also we have a relatable optimus here who's flawed. (I mean idw op is flawed as fuck too but hhhh it's different since he thinks he's still doing the right thing even tho it aint sometimes)
