    I love how Steve isn't a caricature here in any way--people seem to always cast him as an angelic goody-two-shoes or a secret badass with a ridiculous sexual history and all sorts of semi-evil designs. Seeing him written as a real, flawed, confused person is refreshing!

      Wow, thank you for such a kind comment! ;n; I was trying to touch on as many of the different facets of his personality, etc as I could because yeah, he is either one or the other usually in fics and that's not entirely all of him. Though if it's only a oneshot I can see how it'd just be easier to have him be one or the other.

        Oh, for sure--secret badass Steve and goody two-shoes Steve are both great fun. It's awesome to see someone actually cover more than that, though!
