    I see what happened! AO3 didn't notify me of the next chapter.
    This is just a real kick in the head. You can imagine some of the things I said when I saw just chapter 10 end abruptly.
    I am very curious as to why Stan ended up alone in the place he started, but without memory. It would have been interesting to know, since he didn't even remember his house, where his memory ended.
    Still, very intriguing - like one of those TV season cliffhangers that we all hate so much!

      I had a similar experience with the notifications about these two comments; I received a single email and didn't even open it but came here to read what I thought would be one review (since these two chapters are admittedly pretty short...which is why, along with the fact that it's been forever since I last updated this here and a lot happens in these chapters and didn't want to leave people hanging too much), I posted both of them together.) It wasn't until later that I looked at the email and saw AO3 sent me two notifications inside a single message.

      Re It's very short. And very intriguing!; that made me recall a part of the writing process of this story, and that chapter. I don't do a lot of "symbolism" in my writing (a theme featured in the 'Scrotie McBoogerballs' episode :o) ), but there have been a couple of exceptions. This chapter (ten/7) was purposely short and intended to 'jar' the reader a bit, and meant to symbolize the notion of how quickly it feels like we grow up and go from being kids to becoming adults. I sometimes wonder if I was overreaching...until I remember some of the claims about "hidden messages" my high school and college professors made about other stories they forced us to read :-)

      The next chapter (twelve/13) at just over 4,100 words, is the longest one in the story, and after that there's just two more relatively short ones (thirteen/8 and fourteen/14) after that and then its done, and I'll be posting those soon.
