No problem, it was a lovely fic. I'm learning ASL and one of the first things we had to do was watch a video and try and lip-read, one of the most frustrating things ever.
It was also really good to see the Hales all learn ASL for Derek. My teacher has told me some horror stories about families not learning ASL, so their deaf child feels isolated and it's really tragic.
