Aright, I realized it is mightily suspicious that I commented on your other works and not on this one (and I already shown my cards by referencing this one in my comment of your latest work :D), so I am recityfying my over-sight :D This is such a nice and funny piece! I have to admit I maybe prefer bamf!Aziraphale, but here accidentally!bamf works :D and this is such an awesome line: “No quarrel with me?” Aziraphale asked in a high-pitched voice. “Dear boy, be assured that if you want to put this library on fire, you have plenty of quarrel with me.” ....like aaaaah, defensless but brave angel ready to throw it down for books! :D And nice Gabriel is...well, nice to imagine. I really like the thought of him being kind to Aziraphale :) (And as I said previously, I am curious if Crowley will ever hear this story :D) Anyway, have a nice day :)
Accidentally!BAMF - I like that! :D I am really happy that you enjoyed this story! I absolutely believe that Aziraphale would always be willing to put himself in danger for what he thinks is right (although he might hope not to get hurt or - God help us - get a stain on his coat!). I am weak for nice Gabe, too, tbh. The show really punched me in the gut with him being so cruel in the end. Anyway, I am rambling again. Thanks for leaving so many nice and thoughtful comments! I hope your day is great, too!
You are very welcome! And oh no, not the coat! :D (hm, that is kinda cracky idea, that given a choice, Aziraphale woud hesitate between minor wound and a stain on his coat... :D) And I am absolutely sure that Crowley is glad that he can't get grey hair, because his angel putting himself iin danger for the right thing is probably far too common. :D About Gabe I am kinda confused at myself, because in show he behaves to Aziraphale like absolute dickhead and there is no going back after planed execution and that shut up line, so why i am like..Yes, but wouldn't it fun to imagine him being kind? :D
To be honest, I didn’t even think he was so bad until the end. He was a bit condescending but also supportive and friendly towards Aziraphale. It was his job to be pro-Armageddon which made him an opponent. When Michael showed him the photographs, he even became defensive of Aziraphale. He seemed to be the Annoying Boss (TM), lawful stupid, a bit arrogant, overly motivated and condescending, but not cruel. I was really surprised in the end... and not in a good way. ;)
