    I'm glad you're enjoying it! Sorry for the late reply. Let me see if I can't explain...

    So, the way I imagine Garnet, she has Ruby and Sapphire existing in her mind. They influence her, for better or worse, and when she meditates or 'trances out', it's just them interacting with each other (or so I imagine). So, when I say they're doing this such as brushing hair, it's inside Garnet's...mind palace? Sure. Sapphire singing is Garnet singing on the outside, but it's Sapphire's influence rather than Ruby (who I think could sing wonderfully so. I bet Garnet's song in the show is the both of them singing).

    Garnet herself is...I can't explain it. She does have her own feelings and such, however it's easily influenced by the two. So rather than two people operating say, a robot, it's more like...mmm...a group effort? Two people deciding while the third is like 'alright'. Garnet is just more powerful than them so she's their sort of shield?
