    Friggin A this is amazing. Sickening in some parts but also in the best way? I love the flowers here. I love Eugene and Lance’s relationship, and the tattoos for Adira, Quirin and Hector. Everything was clever beyond belief!

      Thank you so much for validation on the flowers and the tattoos. I agonized over the tats more than the flowers, since no flower is symbolized the same way in any two regions of the gd planet. Honestly, those bad boys are more to my personal taste and browsing wiki for hours than anything else. But if it shows well, then by Great Scott, that's good enough for more.
      Hopefully the next chapter will please you more. A little more of that elegant oxymoron for the good people who like this little foray into my giving Lance some respect. ^^

        We are birds of a feather in that way, your aesthetic is one of my favorite things to read of all time. Something that makes me shudder in a poetic, enjoyable way. It’s beautiful.

        You did well! The tats are excellent and believable. I can totally see each for the personality. Hector is well written as well! I can believe he uses a slur, and feel shame in place of his king (seriously I have to wonder if Hector and Adira didn’t travel with them simply because they would have called their king out without fear as that’s pretty much their job)

        though I have to ask-wasn’t Eugene given to his nursemaid to raise? I may have misunderstood that flashback but I thought it was that he was given to the nursemaid and then something on the journey away caused him to be put in the orphanage? A freak accident. May have misunderstood it though.

        Lance is amazing here. And oof, good choice of gif lol

          Eh, I don't want to think ill of Hector, but his social skills were already garbage 25 years before the Great Tree confrontation, being in isolation for so long probably fucked over any kind of consideration he might have had for others--even after saving his ass. (....I hadn't thought of it like that, but, point.)

          Your guess is as good as mine. Hell, your guess is as good as the actual show runners--they kept it all so vague it was irritating. I perceived it as Edmund not thinking straight and sending Eugene off with the servant with no CLEAR orders on that front. It doesn't matter though, because any way you cut it, it was a terrible call.

            Hector is my top favorite character in this show, followed by Quiran, then Lance, then Varian XD so no worries. He's a jackass but I'd still hug him and I still think he's got some good. honestly, he's like...sandpaper, abrasive but he can smooth out rough patches like nothing else. His love and devotion to his king and the protection of the moonstone drove him to unleashing that evil, after all. Hector is GOOD, we just don't see it much. He's been wearing his bad as armor for 25 years.

            yea rewatching it I realized they hadn't actually stated anything. oof. and let's be honest, Edmund never seemed to think straight. he doomed his kingdom in the first place. I kinda wanna smack him but...eh XD no point. I don't think he can change.
