    I love the beginning! I am so excited to see where you go with the story.

    Is Ned going to tell Jon about his mother? Didn't he promise to the next time he saw Jon?

      Ned did promise Jon and Jon remembers that as he readying to go south, but there's also this bit from Ned's POV:

      "He’d made a promise to Jon before they’d parted on the Kingsroad. Ned wasn’t sure he could keep that promise anymore, not with Jon so near the King, and he hates to think he will fail another child."

      So it's going to be a source of conflict between father and son, as Ned struggles to figure out how much he feels he can tell Jon while keeping him safe. Ned doesn't take it lightly when he decides to send for Jon, knowing he'll be closer to the King, so it's not going to be the easiest road for Ned and Jon and Ned is going to stew over it for a while, hopefully not too much of a spoiler <3
