      I thought so too. A lot of that comes from watching him in MMPR-the end of his time on Turbo. Yea, we see a bit of that in Dino Thunder, but a lot of it come from him teaching martial arts and later on in Turbo with Justin. By the time Tommy leaves Turbo, I can see a bit of an almost sibling relationship between him and Justin. There's one episode early on where Tommy and Justin are hanging out in the garage where Tommy works on his racing car; I basically took what I saw in his main run as a Ranger and tweaked it a bit.

      Isofar as Dino Thunder goes, you can see him step up a bit that way with the group, but especially so with Trent as Anton isn't exactly in the best place to safely parent Trent. The only real issue is he's not just the mentor to the team, but also their science teacher and teammate. That had to really blur the lines with things. With his relationship with Abigail, I kinda tried doing the same thing because on one hand, she's a teammate, but on the flip side, he's her dad.

        Good way of explaining that. Yeah really in the show I saw a lot of him being like a teammate but like a parent too. He was pretty protective of the teens but he also looked out for them as much as possible. He saw himself in trent and they really should have had an episode where Tommy and Trent bonded over that.

          They should have, even if it was a simple scene between the conversation with Cassie and Devin and prom. I just *know* that, post show, the group stayed in contact and close. I tried keeping as much of that in the fic; that's why I had Tommy call the team, plus Cassie, early in the fic to help outfit Abigail with everything clothing wise she was going to need. He knew he could trust them to do that, among other things, and why he'd let her go with Kira and Ethan to the mall a couple days later without him.

            Yeah, they were indeed close after the show. In S.P.D Conner, Kira, and Ethan actually went to the high school reunion... Unfortunately it was interrupted but that's not important. But yes you're correct. I would have loved to see Tommy and Trent bond over their evil pasts. That would have been nice,Tommy being all fatherly to Trent because Anton kind of isn't. They could have definitely bonded over their experiences easily.

              I think if Dino Thunder had been allowed to have multiple seasons, we would have seen that relationship develop better. There's a *lot* of stuff that doesn't get shown because they have to fit an entire school year into one season. There's a lot more we get to see in MMPR-Tommy and the others leaving Turbo because those relationships were given effectively 4 and a half seasons to fully develop.

              Dino Thunder's friendships among the team are obvious from 1x1 when they barely get along to 1x38 when their friendships are stronger than those of family because of serving as Rangers together. There's stuff that by the time Tommy's freed from Amber and eventually demorphed that we never see. It's heavily implied that Tommy, Hayley, and the others have tried a *lot* to first free Tommy from the amber, then to get him to demorph, than to turn him visible. However, if there'd been a second season, minimum, we'd have seen a lot more of it. I tried working in some of what I think may have happened between 'Leader of the Whack' and 'Burning at Both Ends'-I took the forcibly being demorphed by villains and worked that in as an extra safety measure for the suits early in the fic, primarily because I can totally see a new Ranger forgetting the demorph sequence at some point or having something happen where one of their teammates had to demorph them for whatever reason.

                Yeah I totally agree. That's an interesting part I read, being able to demorph a teammate as a safety measure. That's 100% unique.
