    “And I know you don’t know how Elvish courtship works,” said Lhoris miserably. “So you should know…”]

    DUUUUDEEE!!! I was like - NO SHE KNOWS LHORIS YOU SILLY GOOFY ELF. YOU DON’T THINK A FITZWILLIAMS WOULD KNOW WHAT A FITZWILLIAMS AND AN ELF DANCING TOGETHER WOULD IMPLY?!? 😏😏

    AAND THEN-

    [The hands on their back firmed, pulling Lhoris flush. They gasped. Stephie’s head lowered, almost brushing up against one long ear.

    YES!!! YOU DAMN RIGHT NOW HOW IT WORKS YOU FITZSISTER! Idk who it was but I think it only could have either been Fitz or Jess who could have given her advice. And omg that mental image of that correspondence is lovely on it’s own.

    ALSO, since I have yet to get to the newest Fitzsister tale. I will say that Stephanie is the suavest of the Fitzwilliam siblings. THE SUAVEST I TELL YOU.

      CMA! How glad I am to see you - for some reason more writing in this university seemed to me a good idea, and I didn't have enough impulse control to stop myself. So here we are, watching the trails and tribulations of another Fitzwilliams sister. To be fair, this one seems remarkably sensible, without any reckless heroism or bizarre ocean-related hijinks at all.

      Now, considering that the root of Toil and Strife is ocean-related hijinks, that might not be so good. But Stephie is a goldsmith - and if there is one thing this universe knows for absolutely certain, it's that Elves love gold. LOVE it. So.

      People have commented several times (with much, much justification) that Lhoris is very into Stephie's arms. All's I can say is - Lhoris is an Elf that knows what they like. And what they like is sweet, kind, talented Goldsmith, that could (yes) brenchpress an entire sloop. But (alas for them) Lhoris is also an elf who doesn't know what Stephie likes. One of the most fun things in this story was working moments of little Kul Tiran flirting into every chapter. Lhoris notices the Elvish stuff (by mistake, they think to themselves) - but as you point out, they literally have a romantic candle-lit dinner and enjoy each other's company long into the night. How could Lhoris miss this??? Yeah, mmm. Relatable.

      ...you know, you say that Stephie might be the suavest of the Fitzwilliams siblings, and... I hadn't thought about it before but you are so right. She IS easily the most romantically aware; she even arranged her marriage proposal for maximum other Elf envy. Poor Fitz. But, er, frankly Jess did most of the heavy lifting in that one.
