    A temporary seperation I can stomach, but I refuse to believe they never saw each other again just because Capcom decided to take the franchise in a whole new direction with RE4. Going through hell together like that would create an unbreakable bond, far stronger than any co-worker team feels of belonging.

      I feel the exact same!! Maybe they don't work together again in a professional setting, but you can't convince me they don't end up together. Especially with how Capcom portrayed their chemistry / bond in the remake - they knew what they were doing haha.

      There are a ton of AMAZING "fix-it" fics in this fandom where they change the ending of RE3, but I really wanted to write something where Jill & Carlos have an off-screen relationship during her canon events. Because, as far as I'm concerned, that's what happened hahahaha.
