    You set such a good scene. I'm in that damn coffee shop. You totally guided my brains into making the din into white noise and got lost in it with Rin. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the metaphor you used for Makoto's eyes. UGH I AM MELTING.

    Now. Is that cake delicious because it's delicious, or is it because Rin is smitten? HRM?

      oh, you don't know how nice it is to see you apparently on-board this particular Good Ship MakoRIn (to quote Lady Basket), given that you're busy as hell. You're just such a lovely presence :D. TO HEAR a kind compliment like that, that you're feeling the setting and the visuals, is balm for the soul, THANK you. actually, that's so funny to hear, b/c i think i lack in that - sometimes on purpose cause GET TO THE DAMN POINT ALREADY, but a lot of the time b/c of sorta fic tunnel-vision. blowing down the interstate instead of taking a side road, as it were. it's a tough balance btwn too much scene setting and not enough. but it's really nice to hear you liked it <3

        I get what you mean about the impatience, though. I catch myself doing it. I reread the stuff I've put out ALL THE FUCKING TIME because I don't know. I'm kind of obsessive about them right now. It's weird and disconcerting. ANYWAY. I catch all the places where I got impatient and just wanted to get to it, and it feels forced. And the places where I got, as you say, fic tunnel-vision.

        I'm not sure if you have some other inside joke about hairdressers, but I think I may understand what you mean. :D
