Okay so I’ve seen like a million recommendations for this recently, so I finally decided to check it out- and holy shit, dude.
As a person who uses writing, particularly poetry as a funnel for my worst feelings, and is also big into competitive speech, I have a pretty strong feeling that this is going to hit very, very close to home. Your writing is positively brilliant- the overall theme of poetry and how it can be so incredibly meaningful to and representative of a person is already so powerful. There’s something about Tommy’s character and story that is already so raw and human- I’m in love.
I know this is also gonna hurt on some level, but that’s okay. The best type of stories are the ones that remind you that you’re human anyways. Simply cannot wait to fall completely, utterly in love with this one.
