As for Parvati -- it was le oops. 😆 Honestly though, the conversation moved too fast for her to be able to explain any further, but am I going to disabuse Catherine, Shamir and Seteth of this terrible confusion? 🤣

    You had asked what happened in the previous version of this chapter. Everything was much harsher and darker. Hanneman was much harsher; Dimitri actually got caught eavesdropping. Parvati was very angry. But -- I can't let certain characters "level up" too quickly -- almost every single one of them already has between first draft and posted drafts, and are much more aware and are performing actions / demonstrating their own initiative, and intelligent than their previous forms, and the smarter they are, the more solid the logic has to be for me to motivate them to do things. Well, what do you know: smart characters are way trickier to work with! Uffda!!!
