    I love your work (your previous book was one of my favorite Klarion stories even before you discontinued it and I KNOW that this will be just as great (and hilarious, at the end of the second chapter, when Black Canary asked Klarion about any other adults willing to take him in and him just smirking and saying yes, I thought “Poor Jason!!!” (Also shows that Klarion is naturally a mischievous person))!!!
    And I am sorry for this ramble, I had unintentionally developed a theory about Klarion and I was hoping that everyone will share their opinions with me (seriously, I’m wondering if this is a totally new AU that I just created or if someone already created it and I’m just stealing their idea)

    I loved the beginning of your other story and I’m positive that this will be EVEN better (I love Klarion (and Constantine, Jason Blood and Damian) because it’s hard to remember at times that Klarion is CHILD, and even though HE is immortal, Klarion can just be using Magic to change his appearance to have one of an older teenager (I headcanon that YJ Klarion is actually like an elementary school aged kid but uses magic to hide his true “age” (mostly that instead of looking like feared and magic user, he would have the appearance of a child (hence the name “Klarion the Witch BOY”, I mean, we don’t tend to call MOST teenager supervillains Boy) so that he can be feared more and taken more seriously (mostly because his temper and maturity reminds me of Damian and HE is a 10 year old trying to act more mature, so it wouldn’t surprise me that Klarion would actually be a 10 year old forever so he HAS to change his appearance (he throws temper tantrums when he’s loosing battles against the heroes, if he was able to grow older (in that world at least) shouldn’t Klarion grown out of that already, plus it would explain his obsession with Jason Blood (besides Etrigan), Jason Blood is probably the ONLY person who has been there for Klarion, besides Teekl of course, for the centuries he was in our dimension, and so Klarion picked him because he NEVER left. Besides, despite the fact that Klarion and Dr. Fate are clear enemies, if Fate is SO much more powerful than Klarion, why not just get rid of him when they first met? Because despite Klarion and Fate wanting to defeat each other permanently, they can’t DO that without (in theroy) DESTROYING themselves. Because Order and Chaos NATURALLY balance each other out, neither Fate or Klarion can exist without the other plus, I think they LIKE the challenge of having an ETERNAL rival, one that they can truly never defeat and have to keep getting smarter to outdo the other (it’s something that immortal’s like Nabu and Klarion NEED or they’ll probably go stir crazy with boredom and they would feel that they would never have anyone that can challenge them again.))
    And I love the concept of what could happen if ONE of the adult magic users stepped up and decided to raise Klarion for as long as he remained in that world, because will never truly grow up (hence why I think that Klarion is hiding his true age or form which is that of a young, probably elementary school aged child, he’s immortal so how can he be a teenager if EVERYONE calls him the “The Witch Boy”, again, I don’t an ACTUAL teenage BOY will themselves a “Boy” (boy is title of a child and most teenagers don’t want to be acknowledged as a child) Klarion must be hiding his TRUE form and since if he is a child pretending to be older than he his, then Klarion CAN be a good person if someone was powerful enough and patient enough to teach him (plus it makes more sense that real forms of the Lords of Chaos (in our dimension not their own) is that of young children because Kids are the definition of chaos and not amount of order can truly control them (hence why Nabu can’t defeat Klarion easily (and teenagers might be chaotic but there’s still an amount of ORDER (or maturity, but to kids, maturity and order might as well mean the same thing) to them that kids just don’t have) So him being AN actual child makes sense (in a weird fandom kind of logic that is probably true (I mean, there’s so MANY versions of Klarion his age can appears from that of a young child to that of a teenager, so is it really THAT far a stretch)
    Again, I think that Klarion is actually a 7-10 year old little boy, from a different dimension then ours and that his kind is known as Lords of Chaos. And that while, Klarion can remain in our dimension for as long as he wants (immortality/plus not aging (Jason Blood proves while he is immortal, he himself has not aged (probably like Klarion which is another reason why Klarion attached himself to the Man (notice how Klarion is attached to JASON BLOOD not just Etrigan, if Klarion only liked Jason because he has Etrigan, I HIGHLY doubt that Klarion would Jason “Uncle Jason”, regardless of whether Etrigan is out himself (which shows Klarion unintentionally showing that he WANTS a parental/guardian in his life), and the fact that Klarion has NOT done that to ANY OTHER magic user he encountered, regardless of the facts if they beat him or not, Klarion has acknowledged Jason Blood as FAMILY which should show that he sees Jason as more than just a means to an end (controlling Etrigan))

    Again sorry to ramble, I just love what you’re doing and I honestly only theorized that Klarion is hiding his real appearance (his true appearance is that of a 7-10 year old child) and not be able to “age” and since it is CONFIRMED that his immortal, then Klarion permanently a child (and children NEED adult supervision or they go and destroy things (or in Klarion’s case, harass other Heroes, destroy cities and create general mayhem (imagine if Jason forced the boy to move in with him, the Klarion would not be able to and create magical mayhem (or get recruited by a bunch of grown men to help take over the world (which I don’t think that Klarion would personally enjoy that much, Klarion wants to CREATE chaos and taking over the world would sort of create would order (you can use that if you want to if you need to write a chapter about the Heroes trying to convince Klarion to turn on the Light (he would do it just out of sipte and the ability to create as much maybem as possible) and he will be under PROPER supervision (someone who Klarion trusts, likes, respects, knows magic and most importantly, is patient and STRONG enough to handle an immortal young boy). Again this is only a theory that I on the fly as I was WRITING this post.

      I also like to say as further proof that Klarion is a young child pretending to be older than he actually is that despite being a “villian” well, in the words of HPFanGirl99 story *“Living Arrangements”, Zantanna was thinking about Klarion because she found something out about him (what she found out is a secret but go on read the story and I will be posting the link to it below (it’s a good story and I believe Zatanna backs up my point that YJ Klarion is hiding his true age)
      “ ‘Just a kid?’ she couldn’t help but skeptically think to herself. Just because Klarion looked like one, didn’t mean he was one. Well, he tended to act very childishly. He was immature and impulsive, with an extremely short attention span. When he didn’t get his way, he’d typically throw a massive temper tantrum. He enjoyed pulling ‘pranks’ and creating chaos, like that whole age swap incident. And he… ”
      This is basically the description of most elementary school kids and Klarion’s act of “evil” aren’t bad, they are maddening, they are disruptive but not TRULY evil, honestly, all of Klarion’s plots of “villainy” are just forms/ways to create chaos (which is what little boys (and girls, and just kids in general) do, become giant headaches for their caretakers) and generally just mess with the JL
      Obviously Klarion is a VERY powerful magician, so WHY hasn’t he tried to take over the world or something like that because in comparison to THAT, Klarion is just clearly pulling pranks and none of the magic users are willing to parent him (the magical chaos for the civilians and heroes will stop with Klarion having a proper Guardian (but for the bad guys? not a chance and Klarion will obviously still pull tricks and pranks but not as severe as before (before it would take most of the League and either Dr. Fate or Jason Blood to Klarion’s campaign of mischief, now it will only take a look)

        WOW! Thank you for such a massive comment; this just made my day :) I'm glad you enjoyed my original story, and I'm eager to know what you think of this version as I keep writing. Chapter 2 should hopefully be posted within the next week. I know how I want this story to go, it's just a matter of actually WRITING it lol.

        Also, thank you for sharing your theory about Klarion's age! It's super compelling, and I would love to read more if you ever decide to write a fic about it (and please do! part of the reason why I started writing Klarion fics in the first place is because I'm starved for more Klarion content). You bring up a lot of great points, like Klarion's dynamic with Doctor Fate and the nature of his alliance with The Light, that I plan to address as the plot of my fic unfolds.

        My own interpretation of Klarion is a bit different. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers of Victory comics for my version of Klarion's origin story. If you haven't read Klarion's four-issue arc from that, I would highly recommend it! In this fic, Klarion is more of an irritable, rebellious teen, and a lot of the internal conflict is going to focus on his fear/disdain of growing up (a big focus in SSOV).

          Thanks to your encouragement, I decided to give it try and write my own story with my Klarion theory (also add in my own OC’s because I don’t know enough about the canon characters and it’s my first story, so I think it should go well with the added OC’s but so far, the story is going to going to based in the YJ universe with a lot of twists, that even I probably won’t see coming: And I’m going to be the one writing it)
