Comment on Memories, rebirth, and magic? Okay then... (Undertale fanfic)

  1. That was a good idea, though I don't know if the site will let you do that either. Since you may not be able to, the usual suspects may be able to help- bold, italics, underlines. And don't be afraid to get creative with it! Just make sure that what you're trying to say is clear to the readers. Let me know if you need help getting ideas. I have a fellow writer friend who also needs help in that area, so I have tips if you need them. :)

    1. I have no idea what to do for the next chapter... So feel free to suggest anything at any time... I love it when people suggest things because I know only one part of my own stories and it's usually the middle or end...

      1. Now, being a writer myself- I'm very averse to just feeding people ideas I like, though I sometimes just can't help myself. It feels too much like me hijacking someone else's story, and mine are precious to me, so I just DON'T.
But what I CAN do is give you ways to help yourself and help you grow as a writer. To help give you ideas on what you want to do here, you can try a few things. If you know what kind of feeling you want the chapter to have, try listening to some songs that carry the feeling you want to make and see if that gets you anything.
Another thing you can do is this:
        http://www.textfixer.com/tools/random-words.php
As you can probably guess, it's a random word generator. The idea is that you would hit the button and go through any of the words thrown at you and see if any give you ideas for a good plot point. For instance, if you got the word 'abandoned' you could use it to create a feeling Sans has about the situation, how Frisk (cause that's who I'm assuming fell that Asriel is protecting) came to be injured in the ruins, or any other ideas that you can pull from the one word. Heck if you get enough, you may wind up with the whole story at your feet. It may take a bit of generating before you hit a good one, but keep trying.
And let's not forget the basics, which can help you flesh out a situation- who, what, when, where, why, how? What's going on up on the surface that this version of Frisk is who fell? Why were they up there? What kind of timeline is Sans in? Who plays what roles here? What's the same as the game and what's not? Asking yourself these questions can help you inch towards your end goal.
See if any of those work and let me know how it goes, okay? I'm glad to help if you want it.
