    Oooh this is good.

    I think the Dick/Bruce section would work without the colour formatting, since the contextual confusion is part of the point. Or the vibe? But Bruce's black and yellow being a pain on the eyes feel also on point, so. Works either way!

    The invisible layer of "is it in-world character trait, or is it fractured canon writing/fanon interpretation" makes this labyrinth of fractured reflections even more painful, as characters-as-mythic-figures absorb their storytellers' traumas/pain points with every retelling, getting further and further distorted in the process.
