Comment on One out of the Hoard

  1. I genuinely think this is the longest review I've ever gotten, so thank you!!

It really is a fun AU idea- and if I wasn't so bad with deadlines (or just finishing in general), I'd love to play with it more. As it is, there's a lot of potential to explore later on, so maybe other cakes will be made, so to speak?

I agree with AFO's new obsession over his 'little guide'. Izuku is one of the few people alive that has ever helped Hisashi without any underlying motive other than good will. Obviously with the reveal that goodwill is now gone, but that's never stopped Hisashi from vaulting people before!

I haven't figured out who would make the most sense, but I think the best way to earn Izuku's cooperation is to keep another hostage that lives or dies based on Izuku's behavior. They could even be left in the cell with Izuku, as part of the test to see how strong Izuku can last against his hunger (if he experiences that- never figured that out just yet). I dabbled with the thought of AFO, after dealing with a very difficult Izuku or perhaps one too many escape attempts, throwing Izuku into the arena with the zombies. Obviously the zombies can't hurt him, and Izuku is confused, right up until a group of survivors is thrown in too, and Izuku realizes he's being tested to try and protect a whole group against an even larger mass of zombies. (and if an ex-school bully/ex-best friend happens to be in that group, and motivates Izuku that much more to try and stop them. And if that ex-bully gets terrified when he firsts thinks he sees the zombified remains of Deku, well)

I was really daunted by getting you for Secret Santa, but it means a lot that you've liked it so much!
