They are really perfect for each other, just what the other deserves and needs. I never felt comfortable with how unhealthy the show made Marinette ---obsessed and literally a stalker and tried to pass it off as something like love.
As stated in this awesome fic, it's not love when you're putting a person on a pedestal. Lukadrien is one the most healthy relationships--we love to see it. Wish it was more popular.
Yeah I find the show really hard to watch when Marinette continues to be a creepy stalker. It wouldn't be such a big deal if she actually learnt that it isn't ok--but she never does learn or grow. It sucks because Marinette has likeable qualities but it's always overshadowed by her actions towards Adrien. To the point where I don't ship any dynamic of those two. I can't see past all the wrong. I hope she'll turn into a better character some day. I want to like her.
Lukadrien just makes so much sense to me, as they literally would treat each other right and wouldn't put each other on a pedestal. They can just be themselves and eeee I love them so much! I wish it was more popular too! They're always so sweet and kind to each other in the show <3
You're welcome, and thanks for replying. I have been catching up on Netflix, but it stopped on season 3 and all the episodes were mixed up. I'll continue to watch regardless, somehow. I can only hope she changes in the show for the better someday. ^ U ^
It doesn't help her problem when the girls are all grouped together trying to coerce her into doing things she's not ready to do or doesn't want to do (The episode "chat Blanc" where the whole world was destroyed comes to mind). Alya specifically, is the most pushy to me. I hope someday they all learn to consider marinette's feelings on the matter before they act.
Sorry if it's a lot to read, just wanted to share some more of my thoughts about it.
I think I watched some of the episodes on Netflix, then for some reason Disney had a season I hadn't seen and no other seasons???? Why can't they just put all the episodes up in one place??? Pretty annoying. The most newest season doesn't seem to be on anything I own haha. ANYWAY!
Yeah I hate that the other girls encourage her behavior--sometimes they point out how weird she's being and yet they still encourage her? It's so weird. Even the girls that you'd think would step in and point out how creepy it is also cheer her on?
I hope that the new movie coming out (the one with the high quality looking animation) doesn't go down the same route. It makes the show so hard for me to watch. At this point I'm still watching just for Adrien, Luka, and other characters.
