the implications, THE IMPLICATIONS OF CLOUD BEING GONE (?) IN THIS WORLD AND SEPIROTH JUST STANDING THERE IN THE DOORWAY IN SILENCE AS HE LOOKS AT A VERSION OF THE MAN HE'S LOVED AND LOST DOING SOMETHING SO DOMESTIC WHILE HOLDING THE PHYSICAL PROOF OF THEIR LOVE

OFC, /of course/ he would compliment Cloud's diaper changing skills, maybe bc he never got to see it, or maybe because it's something so bittersweet that he'll never see again, it's all so tentative
of course, he cradles cloud in his arms, of course he tells him he loves him... imagine holding the love of your life only to have them disappear in your arms again bc you know that version of your love isn't the same one and would need to go away but you still love them again. they say love is the greatest act of humanity and hmmmmmm
imagine cloud hopping from dimension to dimension and finding a brief respite in the form of a baby with the his and his enemy's features, and his mother's nose and holding your child in your arms, a child you will never have and seeing a different kind of happiness you could have had
