I actually reread the first installment again after reading this one and Ravio also laid on top of Link when he was over the table. Intentional or not, it shows the parallel of how Link reacts to Ravio admiring him then and now and how Ravio is growing in his own way by being more confident the more Link is. I see them as growing the confidence off of and with each other. It really shows how well you’ve developed them as characters in just a little over a year.
Yes they have both grown a lot since that very first story! Ravio's own growing confidence was very intentional, as was Link's comfort with certain things increasing over time. I hadn't thought of the parallels of how Link reacts to having Ravio on top of him but that is a good point!
