        Shay flips fate the bird (intended, VERY intended) and laughs in its face, and fate finds his stubbornness SO amusing that it lets him survive things that really should have killed him.

            One would think an *Ancient Gear Chaos Giant* dropping a BUILDING on him in an episode called THE FALCON PERISHES ON THE BATTLEFIELD (that title had me TERRIFIED) would be enough to do him in but since he definitely went after the others as soon as he woke up, aka way too soon, and made it to the final battle after getting tased and passing out again I don't even know anymore.
