    i don't understand it, it wasn't lissa's responsibility to control her sib, yet it was stefan's? but he didn't even ignore what happened to caroline? He just couldn't have stopped damon, he was far weaker, yet he still tried by locking him up. and when damon escaped he was even more dangerous and killed zach. stefs right, klaus is such a hypocrite, he would totally do the same for his sibs :/ bekahs a hypocrite too, even if one of their sibs had "sunk" that low (though i don't see how that's worse than murder of innocents), you'll would still fight for your siblings forever and ever, no matter what they did, so stop lying

    "I’m sure she’ll appreciate being blamed for her sister’s wrongdoings.” then...why are you blaming stefan for his brother's wrongdoings? lissa still cared about katherine, so why should stefan stop caring about his brother? there's nothing a sib can do that would make one stop loving them

    “Why didn’t you help me!?” he did. he locked up his own brother for you, he chose you, a human he wasn't friends with yet, above his own flesh and blood, and he didn't even had any obligation to do it. i don't get what caroline wanted stefan to have done, did she want him to kill his own brother just to save a human that wasn't even his friend yet? the mikaelsons would have never even bothered to try to stop one of their sibs, i mean, elijah let klaus kill lots of innocents without interfering for centuries, they value family above everything, so why she only expects it from stefan? i like you fics, but i don't get her reasoning

      Thanks for the comment. My note regarding Lissa was directed at people who were saying Lissa should have done something about Katherine because she was so mad at Damon - but she wasn't in Mystic Falls to police Damon, she was there because Sheila asked her to be.

      There is a conversation between Kol and Lissa at the start of this fic where they acknowledge that they're all hypocrites. They (Mikaelsons/Lissa) know that Stefan realistically couldn't have helped but they don't care. Caroline has become part of their family, so they're going to protect and defend her over Stefan. And Caroline doesn't actually know Stefan was weaker than Damon, so from her perspective, he just let the abuse happen.

      I appreciate that I might not be writing those nuances like I think I am, so I'm grateful for the feedback.
