Oooh, more Diana for the win! (Or, I suppose, since I'm reading backwards, this isn't really "more" Diana, but you know what I mean.) Anyway, I really do like seeing her in protective mode. Their friendship is so sweet.

Yeah at the end of season 4 episode 2 (?I think ???) when Peter, Jones, and Diana are all circling around Neal's desk and he still has his island facial scruff and his little cane...I felt sorry for Neal.
I've surmised that maybe Peter is overcompensating with teasing because I really do think their intimacy delved to the next level when Peter arrived on Cape Verde. Obviously nothing other than familial friendship feelings happened, but even within a platonic relationship certain thresholds can be breeched and yeah...Cape Verde was one of those. Without verbally saying it at all, on that island, both of them managed to portray to each other just how much they mean to each other. And then to come back and Peter's back to season 1 teasing....lol.....I'm like...SOMEONE is having FEELINGS they don't know how to deal with 😂
Anyway, but yes, it was a nice motivator for a fic 😅And I love their friendship! I wouldn't probably have ever dedicated a whole fic to them without the prompts so it was fun to explore!!
