Comment on Cyclical

  1. well, shit, this was intense. He left my heart beating like an engine.
I'm partial to Tim (in the fanon) where Jason tortures him and then Tim begs him to come home and everyone overlooks his attack and happy ending, so I'm kind of looking forward to this fic.
I know you said they're both unreliable storytellers, but if Jason came home without any repercussions, was legally revived, and returned to the family even after killing Tim, I think the boy has every reason to be mad at Jason. Sure, Jason's side remains to be seen, as these years really were, but ultimately I'm angry that he could kill Tim and face no real consequences until Tim came back from the dead to make him pay.
I know I'm biased, but right now I'm rooting for Tim here. hahahahahahahaha
I like the fact that Tim doesn't allow Jason to make excuses for the lazarus pit (which we all know is fanon) and even though he assumes Jason's reasons, he doesn't allow Jason to hide behind the tampering, there's no excuse for having killed a child and carry on.
    I loved that last sentence!
"Jason, why are you being allowed the second chance that you stole from so many others?"
wooooo, like, really hit the point. Jason arrived killing the murderers and proclaiming himself judge, jury and executioner, why is he allowed to save himself from the trial??
I'm really excited to read what's next from here on!!!
    thanks for write!

    1. Thank you so much for your comment and kind words! I very much agree with your statements, Jason is 100% in the wrong and it’s awful he got to do what he did without any real repercussions. Tim is unreliable not in the sense that Jason’s actions aren’t as morally wrong as they appear, but rather that he is putting a lot of blame on Jason for things that were more Bruce’s fault (such as blaming his actions on the pit!!). Tim is in an incredibly unwell state right now and he’s lashing out despite his claims to the contrary.

      1. So Jason is also to blame for allowing Bruce to make up his story for his own benefit. He allowed everything to be at his convenience so that his sins would be disguised as actions that he did on the orders of others, because it would make it easier for him to tell himself that everything would be fine.
I'm sure Jason calmed down a lot when Bruce cremated Tim's body. thinking that he might not come back to bite him on the butt later.
ufff, I need more of this, this is so good!!

        1. The whole thing is very complicated and messy 😂 Jason is most definitely in the wrong but I don’t think he was happy or anything when he thought Tim wasn’t coming back lol

          1. Oh, I don't mean happy, I mean he might have felt a bit of finality, as if Tim's body ceasing to exist meant a final end. I think I wrote my translation wrong, I'm actually Spanish and I have to translate everything I think into English, for rushing to answer I probably did it wrong again XD XD

            1. That’s alright! I’m super glad you enjoyed it. I made it partly because I wanted more fics that were more critical of Jason’s actions rather than giving him a pass :)

              1. ufff, I think I'm going to calm down and reread this tomorrow when emotions settle, I tend to rush and lash out with very passionate comments. I think I'll go back with more calm tomorrow or in a week and I'll leave a longer and more focused comment. XD
