Yes, definitely. I also feel that the sentiment that Chloe was trying to get across, if not her exact stilted wording, is a good one for everyone to hear from time to time, from someone who means it, obviously.
It's a tragic story about that sock, actually: his partner got taken by the sock gremlin that lives in the dryer. That's why he got regulated to door duty. But he lives in hope that one day he and his partner will be reunited!
Thanks! And it's your birthday coming up too; happy early birthday! I'd love to write you up a present, if you'd like to make a request. :)
Oh absolutely. Although it has a better effect if it doesn't sound rehearsed. The way you wrote Jor-El was very interesting as well.
Oh no, I was fearing the sock has a tragic back story and had to guard the door regularly. If only Clark could communicate with socks. He surely has the power to rescue the lost one and bring it back to reunite them.
Wow, that's really nice. I've thought very hard about it, looked around in your works and when I saw that you did fairy tale adaptations I had to think about my favourite fairy tale: The Farmer's Clever Daughter (if you are not familiar with that one, there is a nice illustrated version here: Erstwhile - The Farmer's Clever Daughter) If you like it maybe you could kind of make it fit for Clark and Lex? Just an idea.
Fyi: I've seen the first five episodes of Gravity Falls, now. Soon, I will feel confident to read your fics. ^^ And I'm brainstorming ideas of stuff I could do. At least I'm really, really motivated - that is one of the key elements, right?
Jor-El was a lot of fun to write. I was worried that it would be difficult, but I actually had a blast making him sound all computer-y.
If only he could. So many socks he could save, so many wrongs he could right. If only.
I actually am familiar with that story, even if it took me until about halfway through reading it again on the link you sent to remember it. And yes, I will hell of Clex that thing up, though I will be mixing in aspects of the Russian variant, "The Wise Little Girl" and the Greek one "What Is the Fastest Thing in the World?" as well as putting my own spin on things.
*victory fist pump* Hells yeah. Spreading the word. Although, ZOMG, don't read any of my Gravity Falls fics until after you finish the series. Don't even look at the tags on them. They are all chock full of spoilers. Even the one tagged as being set in the first season (I just told you not to look at the tags!) has spoilers through midseason two, and most of them have spoilers all the way through the end of the series.
*tries very hard not to look at the tags* Spoilers aren't such a bad thing, right? Nonono, you can keep in control of your curiosity. You can do it!
I actually stumbled over a pretty big spoiler a few days ago - right before I started watching but I don't know who the couple is, yet, so I've tried my best to avoid further spoiling of the things that'll come.
A couple? I can't remember any couples that I would count as a spoiler... unless it was [spoiler redacted]/[spoiler redacted] or [spoiler redacted]. I wouldn't consider those couples to be spoilers, but I would count the existence of those people as such, especially [spoiler redacted]. In fact, [spoiler redacted] is the main reason I don't want you reading the tags on my fics.
Huh. well, I was watching a video about Princess Bubblegum/Marceline (Adventure Time) where it was mentioned that there was the possibility that they would be confirmed in the finale and that other shows like "Gravity Falls" have handled couples that way. So it was a spoiler in the sense that I know there will be a couple but not who they are or if I know all the characters, yet.
