        Same season as my other idea, with Patterson as temp. Squad 3 LT.
        Remember the episode where Casey, Severide, Cruz and Patterson drove the truck with the tank that was going to explode and they all jumped out before the actual explosion?
        What if our beloved danger magnet managed to injure himself? Like getting hit by something that came from the truck after it exploded, head injury, broken bone?
        Obvious worried Kelly / married Casey & Kelly!!

              It's not weird at all! I'm so glad that you're enjoying them :) They're comforting to write, especially when I can fix scenarios that made me mad in the show like lack of hurt Casey or not having Severide be more involved.

                I really wish Severide had been more involved with comforting him. Like after Hallie died, I REALLY wish he had been the one to hold Casey.

                  Yessss and when Casey got his head injury in season 2. Severide was literally holding him down in the ambulance but in the waiting room he didn't seem that concerned, even when the doctor came out and updated them? They made the focus on Dawson. So annoying!

                    Ugh it annoyed me too because it seemed like everyone was more focused on Dawson and how she was doing than actually being worried about Casey who had a TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY. And we didn't really get to see him recover, just him jumping back into work and dealing with the after affects. I feel like Kelly would have handled that better.
