  1. Ah, good old Tony Stark rambling. Never gets old.

    As for the 'I didn't know' excuse, it is flimsy at best. She can read a person's mind to give them the most emotionally paralyzing visions in mere seconds, even to a god like Thor, so that means she knew full fucking well she was working for Hydra. (MCU confirms she is a skilled mind reader, too) Either way, she wound up finding out they were working for Hydra and STILL stayed, because they were a means to an end. It isn't like Hydra had shock collars or enhancement inhibiting fields keeping them in check, the two were literally free to move about as they wished and, as shown with Quicksilver, they could have left at any time before Hydra knew they were leaving, they just didn't.

    So, in the end, they WERE Hydra agents, willing ones too, by the time the Avengers rolled into Sokovia. Rogers just created a narrative and stuck with it, for reasons that were never explored. (Fandom likes 'paving the way for Bucky' and/or 'she can fix Bucky.' I like 'he just did it because he could.')
