Did Molly just dumb down coils simulation to the point it couldn’t render things like a wound from a bullet? That would be hilarious… or does starting a fight with the guys from Earth-Epithet make people from earth Bet just like them?
It's a combination of things Coil didn't catch onto in the moment. The bullet that hit Mel got dumbed down, because he did it right in front of Molly. He just didn't notice the glow. The bullets that his Molly, however, only hurt her stamina. Coil is relatively high proficiency by Earth Epithet definition, so rather than do what it did to Car Crash in Episode 1 and make him slavering and suggestible, Dumbing him down impaired his critical thinking and observational skills. If Molly hadn't dumbed down the bullet, the sim would have looked bad different. It's supposed to feel like Coil has no idea what's causing things in this scene, so don't worry about any confusion.
How Dumb affects stuff like precogs will come up later, because they have a unique interaction with Epithet users in specific that's not simply 'inconclusive' or 'they can't be predicted'.
