    oh man this is so great and so worth the wait !!! this is pretty much the perfect chapter one tbh. like, the very beginning when it talks about the first sunny day and it being such a happy occasion thta they drop everything to enjoy it is genuinely heartbreaking. you spell so well the drudge of the apocalypse and how good times have to be found in such small events so freaking well in the span of just a few paragraphs! oh and the decked out reference had me giggling xD
    and and you write Etho so well ! people tend to miss how he hesitates for way too long in the midst of his efficiency and you counterbalanced that with his pension for chaos perfectly !!!!
    between mentioning Grian's home town and the hints that the zombies are going to be more interesting than the run of the mill and Etho's shaking hands getting worse (which is such a fun headcanon by the way!) you have me ABSOLUTELY hyped for future chapters !!!!

      im glad the first chapter was worth it to you! i was nervous, since a good amount of it is exposition and introductory stuff, but i tried to make it worthwhile still even if the plot doesn't move much here! i think that a key part of the roomies vibe is loving the little things, especially each other, and an apocalypse situation would def make that more noticeable.

      thank you SO much for complimenting the etho characterization, because that's the most important thing to me in my writing! im so nervous about not doing him (and cleo) justice since im less experienced in writing them, but hearing that I'm doing well so far is so reassuring!! i think he's a very hesitant and careful person, detrimentally sometimes, but he'll always feed the chaos beast, even if it's not technically his pet
      the zombies are definitely very different! zombie media with unique zombies really interests me, so i wanted to try something id never seen before!! im glad it's an exciting concept :D
